I have used corporate catering for 16 years on and off. Whether it be simple trays as in vegetable, fruit, or meat and cheese. Or Birthday parties that require Buffet and or hors d'oeuvres.
I have also seen many many extravagant wedding table placements that has been designed by their staff.
The staff has always been very professional and very courteous whatever they're doing.

We used Corporate Caterers as our catering for our reception dinner. The food was amazing! Guests came up to us all night long to compliment the food and the wait staff was very helpful. There was some confusion on one of our invoices and we met with Ben the Monday after our wedding. He was so understanding and corrected our invoice and accepted responsibility for the miscommunication (it was an honest mistake but he did not pass the blame at all). I will refer Corporate Caterers to all of my friends and family. I have several friends with weddings coming up and I will be sure to send them to Corporate Caterers. More...

I went into this wedding with an intention to have a great dinner. I mean, with my time in Wichita and the number of reviews I've done on local businesses, to offer anything else other than an amazing spread would be doing a disservice to myself and the lady unfortunate enough to take my name and the reputation that comes along with it. So I tried to do something kitschy. I looked at a local Mediterranean restaurant, but even trying to cater a modestly-sized wedding (~100 people) like mine had me looking at upwards of $3,000. We were paying for this wedding ourselves and didn't want to start our lives together with an extra grand of debt because I wanted tabouli and hummus at our nuptials. I looked at maybe having a food truck coming out, giving us a lot of control over the menu while paying respects to some of the most creative cooking currently happening in town, but as the months ticked away they were too busy with their day-to-day business to give me the warm fuzzy feeling they were working towards building my menu. Less than four months prior to the big day and there was still no menu nor any idea of what it would cost. I didn't need that kind of stress among the hundreds of other decisions we had to make.Eventually I realized that the day was about our matrimony and the food was only going to be a small part of that. Ten, twenty, or thirty years from now, no one is going to remember what they ate. Even now, six months after the fact, I had to go back and look at what we ended up ordering. The food just needs to be good enough. As the stress piled up, what became more important to us was having an all-inclusive caterer that came with everything we needed for the meal so I didn't have to worry about providing the little things like napkins, silverware, or cups. So finally I broke down and talked to Corporate Caterers. Not because I didn't like their food - I've liked Ben Arnold's restaurants and I've used them before for other, smaller events - but because they're such a safe option due to their ubiquity. Eventually that safety became REAL appealing... something I could just order and let them run with things and know everything will turn out all right. We sat down with Ben, which is a little surprising in and of itself that the owner of this nearly 20-year old business would still be the one doing the meetings. He also does a lot of the cooking, so he can speak to all aspects of the business fairly easily. We picked some items off the menu for starters and he invited us back for his monthly tasting. Once a month he cooks 5-6 of some of the most popular dishes on the menu, and you can just come and try them all. After a very full afternoon of eating we actually ended up changing our two main proteins from what we originally thought we wanted, so it was a very beneficial experience. Ben explained that one of the keys to Corporate Caterers success is that they cook everything about 90% of the way there in his kitchen, then transport it to the site and finish cooking it there so it's not overcooked or dried out in transport, which seemed to make sense to me.Our modest menu had marinated top sirloin, marinated grill chicken, brussel sprouts, and roasted new potatoes. Contrary to many of my meals in Wichita, the meats were almost a little too overseasoned thanks to their marinades, but this aggressiveness ended up playing well with the guests, as i had several people ask me about the seasoning for the beef. The brussel sprouts were also a hit, to the surprise of many people. By the time the caterers arrived we were already well into the day's activities, so I never had any interaction with them, but they bring enough people and have enough experience to ensure things run along smoothly. We had fewer people show up than the minimum number of meals I had to order, so there was some substantial leftovers that they said they were going to give to a homeless shelter.Like everything else having to do with weddings, catering can be a real racket of businesses trying to bilk and pilfer as much money out of you as possible, but as the name implies, Corporate Caterers does more business-type events than weddings, so maybe that's why they charge a little less but still provide a catering experience that's largely unparalleled in Wichita. This wasn't my first time doing business with Ben and it probably won't be the last. More...

We hired Corporate Caterers for our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception and they were awesome! For our wedding reception we had appetizers, dinner, a chocolate fountain, and hired one of their bartenders for the night and it was all wonderful. The fountain was a lot of fun, and they left out the appetizers and fountain most of the night for people to pick at. The appetizer table was set up next to the bar which was great. Guests could go through and get a drink and snack at the same time. We also received tons of compliments on the food! Everyone seemed to love it. It was delicious! And I really liked how attentive and professional they were. We had a buffet line but they still had 'servers' going around the room to see if anyone needed anything. And I really liked how they asked me if I thought everyone was finished eating before they broke things down. They even bring complimentary lunch to the church on your wedding day!! This was so great since we were too busy to get food ourselves during the day. They also help you save money by calculating a percentage of food that is needed instead of a flat $/person for each item. This was great. It saved us a lot of money. The Italian buffet we had for our Wedding was absolutely delicious and everyone had great things to say. It was the perfect choice for a Vineyard Wedding. We had the chicken marsala, pasta bar with alfredo and marina, meatballs, steak tips, grilled veggies, green beans, bread, and salad. The alfredo sauce was some of the best we have ever tasted! They made a special dinner for us so we could try the chicken marsala before deciding to choose it as an entree. We had a chocolate fountain with all the fixings and they kept it stocked and clean. We also rented our white ceremony chairs, extra tables, linens, and used their bar tender and keg beer. It was so nice working with only one vendor to handle and deliver all these important must haves.
Unfortunately, there were some issues. We payed an extra fee to have our tables, chairs, and linens delivered and set up the day before the wedding, and not everything was set up. My mother, bridesmaids, and I had to set up the ceremony chairs at the rehearsal and fix all the wrinkled table cloths. We also requested coffee/hot water canisters so we could serve hot chocolate before the ceremony, (we were hit with cold weather the weekend of), and those did not arrive for us to use. They also completely forgot the coffee, which we paid $1.95/person for unlimited coffee, water, and tea. So we had nothing warm to offer our guests all night. I would have been totally satisfied overall, but these mess ups are enough to make me upset and disappointed in their service. They could have offered to run back and get the coffee at least because that is a major drink offered at weddings.
Overall, Corporate Caterers was great, and I would recommend their food hands down, but be prepared that there may be some issues, too. The were quick to respond to calls and emails, were accommodating of changes we made throughout the planning process, and easy to work with. Too bad they forgot the coffee!!
