Great music with dance appeal.
Great local entertainment & good food, too!
Very nice and upscale place to throw and event.
Bang for your buck: 9/10Quality: 10/10Service: 10/10Ambiance/Location: 10/10Overall: 10/10Came for restaurant week and were SO impressed! The service was spot on and the food was absolutely incredible! There is a full bar, so we had a great selection of craft beer, craft cocktails, and Dave's favorite Old Fashioned. The interior is stunning. Lots of great natural light, beautiful wood work, and there's tons of space for dining. There is street parking, but we quickly found a spot! We look forward to coming back soon! More...

Good food and very nice staff. We had two appetizers pirogies and meatball flatbread (which was delicious and almost like a mini pizza). My wife had a calamari appetizer which was fried and had a really wonderful light batter on it almost like tempura. I had the blackened catfish on rice with red beans, okra and tomatoes. It too was very tasty. My son had a non meat burger which he loved and said it was ever better than better burger. The space is open and fun with lots of art. They had room for larger parties too. I definitely recommend it if you are in Columbus. More...

Excellent location for food and music, Highly recommended by Akron's ReaL DeaL!
Great place to get drinks.
Had a good time. Food and service was great too.
Nice atmosphere! Our server was fantastic! The menu reminded us of some of the great restaurants we've eaten at in Charleston, SC.
Best kept secret !!!!!!
The atmosphere was great, service was wonderful. The food was delicious and drinks were strong. The chicken and waffles were sooo good, just a tad bit of salt needed. I did have an issue with the orginal piece of chicken given, however they promptly replaced it. Shoutout to Charles in the kitchen. Good place to go with friends. We will certainly go again. More...
Great food and service. Then downstairs to Notes for an excellent music venue.
I always have a good time at Copious the music is always on point. The food is good and I like the 3 floor options! I enjoy going there for First Fridays. Also the cover band they have been using has been GREAT!!!! The name of the band escapes me right now but I will update this post when I find out! More...

It's a nice relaxed atmosphere good food good scenery good entertainment downstairs
Im going to hold out on the 5th star until I return another day for dinner. I'd like a holistic experience of Copious. My lunch was amazing. I got to sit by the window and people watch. I have one small minute aggrievance -inform me when menu selections incur an upcharge. More...
Brunch was delicious and the live music set the tone for a great morning with someone new. Thank you Ms. Tracy for joining me
I tried calling the restaurant multiple times today but cannot reach anyone! When exactly is the best time to call? Has anyone else had problems reaching the restaurant via phone :((
Excellent food (especially the hanger steak) with a very friendly staff and a good vibe
Excellent experience! Food was awesome, best collard greens we ever had! And our server Charles was totally great! Knowledgable and engaging. We would definitely come back. I had the fried chicken and my boyfriend had the hanger steak, cooked to perfection. And the chef even came out to speak to us on a Saturday night! More...
The Deal Breakers show on Friday was phenomenal. The energy and good vibes are food for the soul.
Great adult atmosphere
Excelente ! Lugar de primera , comida abundante ...
Beautiful space for Jazz! The drinks were strong and inexpensive, bar staff were very friendly and quick!
This place has great food and drink. The events that o on here are organized and fun.
We have been here several times and the food is always amazing! My wife and I love it and have definitely made this a personal favorite of ours. The prices are amazingly reasonable for the quality and depth of the food you receive. From the appetizers to desserts and the fun location this is a must visit. Lastly the scenery is ever changing since they show art work from local artists and it really completes the Upscale Urban feel. Charles our waiter for one of our visits was especially amazing and made my father and mother in law from Argentina feel very welcome. More...
Great music, I saw Maestro J and can't wait to see him here again... excellent atmosphere and wings
Started with two excellent drinks followed by a phenomenal beet salad and creole soup. The entrees a duck pappardelle and shrimp and scallop risotto were both fantastic. Our waiter Charles was one of the best we have experienced in the last yearYou should definitely try this place out More...

Nice place to have a great timei
Great food, great atmosphere
loved everything enjoyed my first time.
This was by far the BEST service I have ever had at a restaurant. Charles was a blast to have as a server and made us feel so welcomed and looked after. To top it all off, the cocktails were fantastic (also very strong) and the food was delicious. Copious is an absolutely beautiful venue with amazing food and exceptional employees. Thank you Charles for proving that the sky is the limit when it comes to service. We'll see you again soon! More...

Food is unique and service is always good.
NO HIGHLIGHTS IT WAS JUST A NICE PLACE!!!!!
Great place! Had so much fun. Service was good.
Dealbreakers was off the hook.....
The food and wine were nothing special and the server was overburdened (though she handled it as well as possible). But the jazz was terrific!
I took my Granddaughter, her boyfriend and my son to Copious last night for her birthday. I was a little leery as I had read some not very good reviews recently but as I had been there before and had a good experience we went. I am so glad we did!! My waiter was excellent, and the food was delicious. We all got something different and all was great! Taste, presentation & amount of food. We will definitely be back!!! More...
The food at Copious is phenomenal. From the appetizers to the desserts, the offerings are unique and curated. I've dined at numerous restaurants throughout Columbus, and this menu stands out. We ordered pirogies as our starter, and I chose shrimp and grits as my entree. Both dishes were excellent. To finish, I had the banana fosters bread pudding, which was absolutely divine. The restaurant is spacious and well-decorated, and our server Jonah was very attentive. If you haven't been before, I highly recommend visiting Copious. More...

The food was delicious. I recommend the shrimp and grits. The band was fabulous. I'm from Cincinnati and it was well wirth the trip.
I was here for a wedding. So take that as you will. The event space upstairs is really nice, I thought. Setup was done well, and the staff was plentiful to assist with water refills, plate clearing, etc. Honestly, I had never been to Copious, but based on the wedding food, I would absolutely come here for another meal. I'm not sure I've ever said that before about any wedding food, and I'd wager it's not a sentence that gets a whole lot of use in general in the English lexicon. It was good food. I was impressed. It left me wanting to come back and sit down in the restaurant. That's how businesses should be doing it -- put a quality foot forward even if some think you don't technically have to. Well done, chefs and other employees of Copious. More...
Food wasn't bad, it really wasn't. I had the pasta with sausage and shrimp. Need to make sure that orders are correct and getting checks could have been faster but we were a large group.
The music and atmosphere is spectacular!
We had a great time. And our meal was delicious: crab and shrimp dip with Old Bay seasoned homemade chips. I really liked the use of chips for the dip as a new take on the usual tortilla chips. Very tasty. We normally try not to do appetizers bc then we are too full to eat our entrees - but not last nite! . I had the duck in sauce and pasta with tomatoes and noodles. And my husband had the shrimp and scallops risotto. Oh my! It was good. And we ate it all. The duck was cooked well as was the risotto dish. Our waiter took great care to make sure our dinner was good. So of course we tipped well. . This was our 2nd time having dinner here and it was as good as the 1st time. We will be back. Oh do try the honey and lavender cocktail. Nice. We then went downstairs to Notes to hear the Hoodoo Soul Band. Wow. They were good! Gotta check them out again. What a nite!! More...
First time visit on a busy weekend night. My party was running late which worked out because the staff seemed busy and apologized for our waits at different points. Our group enjoyed our cocktails, which often featured local liquors. The bread was above average, especially when paired with the garlicky butter. The chef was able to accommodate my friend's food allergies for her meal. I got the Brussels sprouts salad without added protein. The bacon was fresh and flavorful. The rest of the salad was a little more bland. Something like dried fruit or nuts could have added more flavor and texture. The rest of my party seemed happy with their meals. I'll likely be back, though perhaps not repeat this meal selection. More...
We had valentines dinner tonight. Food was incredible! Service was excellent, drinks were generous pours. Pursued the regular menu. Happy hour specials looked really good. We will be back. More...
My fiancé and I stumbled on Copious on a whim. It was the weekend of Valentines Day and they welcomed us with open arms with no wait time. We ordered a bottle wine (with help of our waiter to convince us to do so), the halibut meal and the pork chop meal. It was hands down the best place we've eaten in so long. However, to top it all off Charles, our waiter, was phenomenal. He was so personable, helpful with meal selections and just down right an amazing guy. We thank y'all so much and will be back frequently!! You're amazing Charles :) More...

Loved this place!!! Best food ever
Great venue that brings in awesome bands! I love getting all the notifications of new events so I can stay up to date. Next on my list is to try the food - the pictures make it look great!
Great people delivering great food and service!
Great food, nice atmosphere! The chef is the best!!!!
I have recently inquired about hosting an event at Notes and Andrea assisted me. She is AMAZING. You would not believe how hard it is to get good information in a timely manor from most venues but, Andrea is absolutely on top of it. She has a great demeanor, is extremely patient and informative. The event I am planning will have to wait until next year because of other complications but, I will 100% be planning it here thanks to her! Also, I stopped in for a tour and the venue is very impressive. More...
What a good nite of smooth music. I will be a returning patron for sure!
My review may not be the most helpful in that I came here for a special event upstairs in the loft and thus did not eat off the regular menu. However I have been downstairs to the restaurant/bar Notes on Sundays to hear the Bobby Floyd trio and Mojoflo play. Granted, the Notes menu may very well be different from Copius, so I'll only comment on what I've had. I had a fantastic (and strong!) chocolate martini sitting at the bar and I've had their burgers and fries, which I believe had truffle oil on them and were pretty tasty. I hope to come back at some point to try the Copius menu as well, and as a heads up if you like live music, check out the schedule for Notes cause they have lots of good groups! More...
I attended a private event recently [12-13-2018] at the McGowan Loft [which is located on the second floor of the Copious restaurant at 520 S. High St.].I had never before heard of the McGowan Loft but my Uber driver had dropped me off at the intersection of S. High St. and E. Blenkner St.; I had walked south on S. High St. and had found 520 S. High St. within thirty seconds; the guy at the door had directed me upstairs; and then I had arrived at my event. The McGowan Loft had been an ideal location for the annual celebration of Faith in Public Life Ohio [which this year had been entitled "Night to Celebrate the Struggle for Justice"].There had been plenty of space; the projected images and the sound amplification had been perfect; the food [several different types of hors d'oeuvres accompanied by a "cash bar"] had been wonderful. Loved the atmosphere, quick and courteous service, and wonderful food.
Copious/ Notes is our "go to " place in the City Center. Great staff, menu and atmosphere. Notes Night Club is a fantastic place for jazz and drinks.
This place was pretty good overall. The service was great, and the atmosphere was really nice. The menu was arranged and priced like an upscale joint, but the quality wasn't quite set to match. The burger was decent but over hyped. The salmon was over done and a bit salty. The sweet potato ravioli barely contained any sweet potato. And the beer selection was meager. We probably won't make a point to return to this location, but if you're in area it might be worth your time to try it out. More...

Good food and interesting cocktails. I had a honey lavender cocktail and it was very refreshing.
Outstanding place for Shakespeare
New menu is fantastic. I always enjoy the artwork while dining.
Always the best food and service. I miss the crab cakes but the Salmon and Scallop dishes are great additions. No live music tonight but the shows there are usually great.

Was downstairs for an event. Had some problems initially, but the server DJ was great. He solved everything with a smile. He definitely did a great job and would be good anywhere.
My new favorite for live music... Especially if Bobby Floyd is there!
11/23/18: Copious management responded to my original review and invited a guest and me for a return visit. Our dinner this evening was lovely from start to finish. The food was as good or better than at the original brunch. I highly recommend the gumbo and the salmon was also delicious. The huge improvement was in the service, which was prompt from beginning to end. Our waiter was friendly and checked in on us frequently without being obtrusive. Original October visit: I wanted to like this restaurant. I was predisposed to like it. It's a beautiful space. We were warmly welcomed and promptly seated for Sunday brunch. The waiter came over immediately to get us drinks. And then it took a while to get our order in. No big deal, I thought, even though many tables were empty. It happens. Then...nothing. No food for a good 40 minutes or so while tables seated after us got their food. We didn't even see our waiter let alone have him come to the table to tell us what was going on. Finally the food arrived. And it was quite good. So that's the two stars. Then...nothing. Again. We never did get the check. We had to chase the waiter down in the bar and have him ring up our orders and take our money. I will say that the waiter was pleasant when he was present, but he was not often present. Extremely dissatisfying experience from a restaurant that has so much going for it. More...
I was here on a Sunday for Brunch, and the chicken and waffles caught my eye. The chicken had a since taste to it, and I think there was some pepper in the mix. I would definitely go back again
Great time with the jazz group!! Nick took great care of us!! Awesome guy he was!!! The atmosphere was amazing!!! Loved our time there!!! Will be back!
I enjoyed this second go at Copious, more than my first. Very happy Copious has changed up their Happy Hour - from seating to menu selections. Around 3 pm on a wet, dreary Friday, walking in, I was promptly informed by the cheerful hostess that their happy hour seating is now throughout the entire restaurant, not relegated to bar seating only. Fantastic change of course, that I wish more restaurants implemented. I was much more pleased with this second try with Copious. I got a few small plates to sample, a few of which I had to take home cause I was full after eating two small plates. The Roasted Beet & Goat Cheese Salad was wonderful. The mixed greens were LIGHTLY tossed in their citrus honey vinaigrette, as not to take away from all the components. The dressing was refreshing, there was a decent amount of chopped red and golden beets. Several big clumps of the goat cheese, too.Now I know what all the craze is about for mashed cauliflower. OMG, the pillow-fluffy accompaniment to their Roasted Pork Belly starter was on the level of addictive. Really great subtle garlic notes. The three thick slabs of pork belly could have been hotter (and thus juicier). The chunky caramelized fig jammy condiment atop added a tasty sweet-sour flavor to the pork slices. It being early before the dinner hour, and rainy and generally depressing outside, I was the only patron in the restaurant while I ate. So, service was timely and pleasant. This second trip has changed my questionable opinion of Copious for the positive.PS: I got a few different HH dishes to-go to fulfill my gift certificate: Ohio Pierogies and the Roasted Pear Salad. A heads-up: Get BOTH! The potato and white cheddar pierogies come with a mushroom ragout that's a perfect pairing. I loved the pear salad, but passed on the Champagne vinaigrette dressing - too much tart. More...
The food was all amazing but the service left a lot to be desired.

I have been here for some wonderful meals and events. Today when our normal group of 15 turned quickly without warning into 30, the staff went above and beyond to make it work. Great venue for a company party. Buffet was good with variety of food. Service was efficient and friendly.
One of the best restaurants to go into Columbus.
Everything was delicious for our special Thanksgiving dinner!
My wife and I went with two friends for dinner. The beers and appetizers were great. My wife ordered risotto with chicken and the chicken came out raw. We sent it back and by the time her food came out I was finished eating and the other two guest were almost done as well. When her food did come out the chicken was over cooked and the risotto was undercooked and still crunchy. I like an al dente pasta but even I said it was undercooked. One of us had the sorbet which she enjoyed and I had the French press coffee. The coffee was great. The place was nice and we loved the artwork on the walls. Overall the food and drinks were good, at least for the 3 out of 4 of us, but I think I’ll have a hard time getting my wife to go back. More...

I love the place and i'm so impress with the staff because they are very excellent...
Brunch is fantastic!
This place has great ambiance, and decor. I went for lunch with friends, and I had a wedge salad with chicken added. My main complaint is that this place is pricey! I've gone there for great drinks during happy hour but spent too much money to make it feasable to go back on a regular basis. But maybe I'm just cheap? I do also love the artwork/gallery area. It would be an excellent wedding/special occasion venue. More...

Absolutely outstanding experience! Michael (manager maybe?) was very helpful and kind. All the service staff was very friendly and seemed glad to be there. Food was very, very good. It was a little out of my normal budget, but not exorbitant . Around $20-$30 for most dinners. The french press coffee was AMAZING! The ace was not very busy, but we didn't really notice because we were catching up with old friends. It was the manager that approached us about how long it was taking. She was fantastic, super nice and very professional. She took the blame for loosing out food order. I've worked in food service for way too many years. A manager that does that is very rare. The $6 burger was awesome, although my server was extremely inattentive. The music venue, Notes, was also awesome in terms of listening to music. But the kitchen and table service at Notes was awful. It took forever for food to arrive. My server totally forgot my order. My tablemates had to gulp their food down before the next seating because it took so long for the food to arrive. The great music compensated for all that, but you need to do better coaching your staff. More...

The lunch menu is my favorite! I haven't found a thing I don't like. (:
This is my second time at Copious for a large birthday party. My first experience was exceptional. Food was great, wine choices were good, service was impeccable.
Our party rented out the private room downstairs and continued our wonderful night. My experience was a 5 star experience.
However....went on 11/10/17 with a large party for a 40th bday party. There was only one waitress for our entire party. She was great and very attentive. The only reason I could not give a 5 star rating was due to the kitchen staff. Some members in our party received their food almost 30 minutes before the rest of the party. Timing was way off. The food was just okay and varied in temperature. The $33 filet mignon was lacking. Do not recommend this.

I came here with several friends and I must say I was impressed with the food as well as the staff. The food was delicious and the staff pretty much catered to our every need. The entire time my party was there, we never had to look for or flag down the waitress. Inside the restaurant it's beautifully put together with a slight urban feel. Upstairs is huge for parties or banquets and the lighting on the ceiling is so pretty and perfect for spring/summer events. I will definitely be returning and will invite friends and family. My first time experience was great and this review is coming from someone who never goes out to eat and is big on customer service. More...
The food was excellent and the portions were huge. The ambiance was really nice and the location is very convenient to downtown and they even have their own parking lot and that is rare for a downtown restaurant in Columbus. Our service was great and the staff was very attentive to our needs. Their bar area is very nice and a great place to meet for a drink after work or with friends. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. More...
This was our first visit to Copious. We chose copious because the menu looked interesting. The parking lot in the back is convenient and valet is available as well. The restaurant has a really cool vibe. Elegant but not at al stuffy. The walls are adorned with works from local artists which are available for purchase. The apps were amazing. The best Brussels sprouts ever and the fries were perfect even without the duck fat. I had the schnitzel with braised cabbage. Come on....it's schnitzel! Good stuff and the braised red cabbage was more sweet than sour. A plus. The spaetzle was a little different from traditional but very tasty. We shared the cheesecake and felt it was "ok". Next time I'm going with the chocolate More...
First time at Copius Saturday evening with my husband and friend. Parking was easier than anticipated with a lot directly behind the building. Reservations were at 8:15pm and much to our surprise, it was not crowded. It is a very trendy place with modern decor. There is a large entry area with the hostess stand and I enjoyed a pineapple mojito while I waited for my friend to arrive. We met the manager and talked for a few. My friend arrived and she got a pineapple mojito, as well and then we were escorted to our booth. The booths were quite roomy and the entire dining area was spacious. Noise was minimal, although we were there after the dinner rush, I believe. Service was on point. I ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, which sat on a bed of creamy polenta, wilted spinach, and topped with spicy remoulade. Crab cakes were creamy, yet were perfectly browned on top and bottom. Polenta was cooked perfectly and paired well as a base for the crab cakes. The remoulade was spicier than I anticipated, but not unbearable. My husband got the Best Ever Burger, which is a blend of chuck, short rib, and brisket topped with bacon jam, dijonnaise, white cheddar, lettuce, and tomato. Huge burger with great flavor. He paired it with french fries. My friend ordered the Shrimp and Scallop Risotto, pan seared with pancetta, fennel, and asparagus on a bed of cauliflower "risotto" and sun dried tomato pesto. The presentation of all of the food we ordered was impressive. Expect large portions of food made with high quality ingredients and great flavor. More...
I came to copious today for a baby shower and was blown away. The ambience, food, and service was exceptional. We were on the top floor which was a beautiful event space that holds up to 250 people. The meal for the event was buffet style and served very impressively. The meal included salad which was very fresh with two types of dressings. Grilled mixed squash and vegetables done to perfection and lightly seasoned. Two types of pasta with a really delicious marinara sauce. Bread, butter and cheeses. Also, everything that was labeled appropriately with gluten free and vegetarian options. There was ample street meter parking (free on Sunday) and a parking lot in the back. More...
The food was amazing ! Service was great. A must stop and eat restaurant. The crab cake and shrimp and grits are outstanding.
Family and I enjoyed our dinner on the patio. Something on the menu for everyone. Creative dishes with good flavors. The peach flatbread (I'm not the biggest fan of peaches) with marscapone and balsamic was tasty. My wife enjoyed her scallops cauliflower risotto and I had a pasta dish with sausage and shrimp that was incredible. We'll be back! More...
Very nice experience great food and we had a great waiter. Nice selection of food. Drinks were very good too.
Went for restaurant week. We had two three course meals and enjoyed everything. My crustini appetizer was the highlight of the meal for me, but the buffalo chicken main and apple cake were both good too. My wife enjoyed her squash soup, scallops, and chocolate pie. Service was great and we liked the space. They have local art on display from several artists. Art is available for purchase at reasonable prices. More...
Such a fun place!
Best place to hear live music in Columbus , it’s chill and great sound and very intimate!
Fantastic entertainment, drinks, food, and service. Love me some Copious Notes!
Fabulous place to spend an evening. Great jazz and great food. Bobby Floyd is the very best!
I work right across the street from Copious, and frequently drop by for a drink and a bite to eat after work. I love the food, I love the drinks selection, and I love the atmosphere. The last couple times I have gone, the bartender has been DJ and he has been beyond excellent - attentive, sociable and good at his job. Hands down my favorite bartender there. Thanks DJ! More...
This place is nice. A higher scale brewery district place, with some outstanding food. Place was spotless, and decor was modern and sharp. Service was spot on, but our server had this really over the top fake smile, that actually, was sort of creepy, but like i said, he did a great job, and was very knowledgeable. I got the pork belly, which was excellent, she got there mussels, which I tried, and might say the best we have had in the city, next to Barcelona. Little man got his signature burger w/fried egg, and said it was great. The restaurant itself is on the first floor, but they share out the basement for live music-entertainment. Not sure if its ran by them, but still cool I guess.Only a few small nits...this place is pricey, and my portion size could have been bigger, and the parking is a nightmare. They have a very small lot that was full, and I had to circle the block a few time before lucking out, and grabbing a meter spot from someone pulling out.Other than that, Im a fan. More...
Hostess sucked but otherwise a great time and a great meal. Waiter was awesome as was the manager. Also had a guy playin the piano so overall a great experience
Exceptional. Limited business hours. The food and service were surprisingly fine in my opinion.
This place excellent. We found this place while searching for a new breakfast place. Shrimp and cheese grits with eggs. Coffee press at your table. Outstanding all around!
Great team of staff and yummy food. A really nice way to enjoy a show with dinner. Check it out!!
Wonderful brunch on Saturdays. Great chicken and waffles and crab cake Benedict. Service was outstanding and good price for the quality and amount of food. They have their own parking lot behind restaurant too. Highly recommended. More...
I went here for dinner with my parents and we had one of the best dining experiences we've ever had here. The food was outstanding, the waitress was very engaging and knew the menu well, and the manager came to check on our table throughout the evening to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. He also invited us back for their jazz night. We had calamari to start, while I had the mahi mahi and asparagus, and finished with a decadent German chocolate cheesecake. The happy hour deals were great too! The decor was very "clean" and we enjoyed the ambiance. Would definitely recommend a try for all. More...
I want to mention how great dinner was at Copius last night. I had the scallops with sautéed Brussels sprouts and they were heavenly. My wife had the short ribs and gave me a bite and it was excellent. I had the Frenchman press coffee for my addiction and it was wonderful. A light pudding dessert and a bite of my wife's cheese cake made it a hit! Parking was convenient. More...
What a great time the band and DJ were great I will be back very soon
Always a great meal in a beautiful setting. Great service!
After wandering around on a Sunday afternoon, my companions and I wanted to get drinks... Of the alcoholic variety. That is apparently difficult, even in the German Village / Brewery district. So cheers to Copious for having happy hour on a Sunday!(this earned them the extra half star, they were really 3.5 in my mind otherwise...)We came in at exactly 4 and were seated in a back booth. They do have a decent menu selection and after a few minutes of deciding, my companions got wine and I went with a Witch's flip cocktail. (I'm a sucker for egg white cocktails). We keep ordered the fried Brussel Sprouts and hummus to munch on. Bread was brought to the table as well. The Sprouts were good (but why is this trend just now hitting Cbus?! And can people start getting more original with their preparation of it?) but the hummus was a bit weak in flavor and presentation. My cocktail was... OK. The flavors were a nice combination, but I thought they would have been better warmed. And the egg white foam was pithy and I wanted more. The service was efficient and we had no problems with our waiter. He even allowed us to use a discount on the meal, so win!I didn't really like the loud music coming from (I assume) their lounge below... It didn't make the afternoon relaxing and made it hard to hear the conversation. So a good stop for drinks on a Sunday, but it won't be my go to for the area. More...
Let me start by prefacing that my reservations were for NYE and they were hosting a prix fixe menu. I booked through an app and for most the event was prepay $75 per person including 3 courses and a glass of champagne. Copious is located in the legal district of German Village just south of the courthouses on High. There is a marquee with the restaurant name. They have a bar off of the dining room and a jazz bar called Notes in the basement. There is also a second story for special occasions. We arrived on time and it was a full house. They had valet but we found a spot close to the entrance, the two men at the door were talking to eachother and therefore didn't open the door for us two ladies. With our reservation we were seated immediately. They had a jazz band playing which further accented the romantic atmosphere; hardwood floors, dim modern lights, and highback booths. As I stated the had a prix fixe only menu so I can't speak for other items on the standard menu. I ordered the French onion soup, 10oz ribeye with potatoe gratin and creamed kale, ending with a cheese platter. My girlfriend had the French onion soup, salmon with orzo and asparagus, and Apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. It took a bit if time to get our orders mostly because the manager was called over due to me wanting to sub the creamed kale for asparagus, I just don't do alfredo sauces. When the food finally came it looked tasty...even the creamed kale. The manager pulled a miracle and included an order of asparagus (with the prix fixe subbing is not an option). The ribeye was huge and tender but too pink to be medium well. I ate the fully cooked parts and requested they fully cook the rest. Yes, I know medium well still has pink in it but only a hint of pink not raw meat. This was more like medium or medium rare in the middle. Once properly cooked it was perfect. The potatos gratin was layered like a lasagna with thinly sliced potatoes. My meal and my friend's meal were both very satisfying. It was clear we paid for the vibe as well. The meal was slightly overpriced as I would have expected to pay more like $60 per person at comparable establishments but remember this was a holiday and special event. After our dining we went to Notes in the basement, to bring in the New Year with a dance party hosted by O-GEE. All in all we enjoyed yourselves, both food and venue. The ability to park once and have both dinner and a party in an upscale environment is rare in Columbus. Great place for dressing up for something special or a romantic date. More...
Great music venue, fantastic food and wonderful people.
Great place to enjoy musical artists up close and personal. All seats are better than you will get at a larger venue. Drove from Indianapolis to see Melanie and was everything I hoped for and more. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. You will not be disappointed. More...
Sunday nights, $10 cover, 6 pm- 8pm. Two hours of jazz, usually with a guest artist, ending with a jam session. Good food from the Copious kitchen. Great fun and what a deal...
My husband and I had Thanksgiving dinner here, as it was just the two of us this holiday and we didn't feel like cooking a big meal. We found Copious to have a very affordable prix-fixe menu for the day as compared to many other options in Columbus. We had appetizers of baked brie and fried brussels sprouts, entrees of herb-roasted turkey and seared scallops, and desserts of pumpkin cheesecake and a roasted pear for $30/person. We finished our entire meals and enjoyed them both as well as my husband's smoky bourbon cocktail. The service was prompt and the restaurant was clean and bright. We had been to one of the Brewery Hop events previously in the summer and found their bartender representative to be excellent, so kept Copious in mind as a place we had to come back to. We'll definitely be back again to try the regular menu as well. More...
Copious is interesting. It's located on South High Street in the Brewery District and the building also contains the venue Notes. We've gone here a couple of times and each time we've had the exact same experience. The quality of the food diminishes with each course. The bread + butter and beer selection is great. The appetizers are great. The main courses are not as good. The desert is forgetful. Although I'm delighted that they do carry my favorite port on the menu. But I can't figure it out. I'm not sure if we're just ordering the wrong dishes but every time we go there is a very noticeable quality difference as the night goes on. Copius at 4 stars is definitely worth a visit, but I recommend ordering a lot of appetizers! More...

We were invited for a private party so we had a room in the basement. The table setting was lovely. We sat 8 to a table. The servers were super pleasant and accommodating. The salad was simple but tasty and generous. Greens with REAL grated Parmesan cheese. Dressing was good as were the rolls.Dinner was prosciutto-wrapped chicken on a bed of whipped potatoes with some veggies on the side. The presentation was quite elegant. The dinner VERY good.Dessert was an assortment of cookies and cream puffs - all delicious! The event was fabulous and Copious was the perfect venue! More...
We were there Friday evening a nice variety of jazz and old school coming from different artists. Seats were uncomfortable. So they allowed us to sit in cushion seats. Music was great. Atmosphere was inviting. Nice variety of people. I can see myself singing here. Prices were a little bit high. But chicken was great. We'll definitely return. More...

We have been coming to brunch at Copious for weeks now on Saturday. We love the food - the majority of which is locally sourced and made from scratch. The French press coffee and mimosas are always delicious. Service is amazing and the venue is gorgeous & top notch!! Live jazz music on Sunday evenings in their cool speak easy downstairs! Ample parking lot in the back too! More...
I have been here twice but both times only for lunch so my review is limited to the lunch hour but I hear good things about their brunch and I know they serve dinner as well. I have also attended an event upstairs in their event space and it is really nice, too, but this review is all about the lunch.Okay, first of all, Copious is a great space. The inside is large and bright. The atmosphere is very inviting. As we were walking out, my boyfriend and I agreed that we want to come back and try their dinner and brunch as well as their bar. They also have patio space if you wish to eat outdoors. The lunch menu has a lot to offer including daily specials. The variety made it a little hard for me to choose but I ended up going with their turkey club sandwich. It was very tasty and the fries that came with it were DELICIOUS. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the portion size. My boyfriend got the grilled cheese and their soup of the day and he really enjoyed it. The tables come with orange-infused water and it is so tasty and refreshing! Our server was very friendly and attentive. We dined with another friend who has food allergies and she was very mindful of that which is always appreciated. We had an excellent time at Copious and are looking forward to returning again outside the lunch hour to see what else they have to offer. Came here for dine originals week. Started with the falafel and hummus, which was good. The falafel had a unique flavor to it but was still tasty. Had the fall risotto for the main course. Pretty presentation, but wasn't super flavorful. Could have used a little something extra, but very generous portions of the veggies and chicken. This was definitely the most bland of the main course dishes. Everyone else had either the steak or pork schnitzel, both were great. Loved the atmosphere as well. Chic and local art that you can purchase that decorated the space. The service was friendly but somewhat slow. We were one of two tables in the whole restaurant but it took quite a while to get our food. Dine originals was a great way to try this restaurant. I will definitely be back to try out their happy hour! More...

Good food as a restaurant and good atmosphere for events. I've been for both especially for HERE on Fridays.
Must check this place out! I went with a group of friends for brunch. The venue is very open with unique art. The service was fast, friendly, and everyone was welcoming. All 7 of us orders different brunch items and everyone loved their food. I honestly wasn't expecting to like this place since I had heard it is very upscale and I am a more casual kind of person. I ended up having one of the best brunches ever in Columbus and am looking forward to going back again. More...
Can't wait to try the restaurant. I just know that the 2nd level space is amazing for events!

Had an amazing brunch! Food was delicious, and the staff were all completely amazing. Definitely a spot I will be introducing friends to whenever I can.
Great food and really nice artwork. There was a live musician who played his own sets of music but took pretty much any request. The bread, leaves a little to be desired however the drink and dinner menu were superb. More...
