Cookielyn catered my grandmother's memorial service last year (for 100 people), and did an excellent job. Lyn made sure to connect with us on the various food options, display, and drink options. The timeline and food were communicated a week prior to the event. She and her crew showed up early, set up a beautiful and delicious display, and cleaned everything up by the time we had to leave. How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We intently listen to the vision, desires and tastes of our clients. We are able to create a menu to fit their style and taste buds! We pay are detail-oriented from the initial meeting to the actual event. It is our pleasure to exceed our client's expectations!
What do you love most about your job?
We love our clients! We love making exquisite food! To see the sparkle in the eye of the bride-to-be or the excitement of a client reaching a birthday milestone...it truly makes every moment of our job worth while. We are allowed to celebrate in these special moments by complimenting it with our exceptional food - It's an honor!
What inspired you to start your own business?
My first step in the food industry began with the creation of Sweet Rounds by Cookielyn, a venture I pursued after reinventing cookie recipes which blossomed into something quite phenomenal! However, 29+ years of marriage and 11 babies later (yes, eleven biological children - no twins!), I had to postpone my cookie business dreams. My desire towards food services never left, but I continued to grow in other disciplines, receiving a certificate and later a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene and Public Health. My passion for food services remained constant and what started as a cookie business grew into a full-service catering business many years later, where I have refined my culinary skills in creating the finest cuisines - from Appetizers, Soups and Salads to exceptional Entrees and of course, Desserts!
