I had never really put a lot of thought into flowers until it came time to pick a wedding florist - I knew I needed them, but didn't really know what I wanted. Thanks to Miranda's patience with my indecisiveness and her amazing vision, the flowers were unquestionably one of my favorite parts of my wedding. The bouquets were beautiful, the large piece hanging from the ceiling of our venue was beautiful, and the arrangements on the table were beautiful. Community Flower shop did an absolutely phenomenal job with our wedding.  We wanted to keep our wedding budget friendly, and initially were not going to have a florist.  Later on in the planning, it became very apparent that we definitely needed a florist to be able to achieve the look that we were going for.Initially, I spoke with Patrick on the phone and he was so helpful and so friendly.  Patrick had Miranda call us back, which she returned our call promptly.  We were able to set up a time to meet with Miranda.  She was more than accommodating as we both work and then live on the other side of town from the flower shop.  She agreed to meet with us close to closing time (didn't even mention that, I didn't even know until I looked at the hours on the door).  Our meeting ran a little over, but she never made us feel rushed.We are not very well versed in how these meetings should go, but Miranda was so informative, patient, and kind.  We wanted just a minimal flowered look, with more focus on eucalyptus on our table.  We were also looking to be budget friendly, as we did not initially plan to have a florist.  We had a Chinese/ Vietnamese wedding, in which our colors traditionally are bright gold and red; however, my husband and I were going for a more modern, muted take on this, with a deep burgundy and cream color (a nod to our heritage if you will).  We were able to describe our look, vision, and budget needs with Miranda.Miranda was able to get back to us very quickly with a more than fair price, with a more than fair time frame in which we could pay for the services.Day of, let me tell you, was so BEAUTIFUL.  It was everything and more.  Miranda and her team really accentuated our wedding and made it look lush, classy, and decorated, without going overboard.  I was in love with the way it looked and the way it was set up.  I am so impressed how just describing my vision to her, how she was able to execute that into the exact look that we wanted (budget friendly did I mention?).Working with Miranda, was honestly, so stress free.  I didn't really need to follow-up and things were done when they said they were done.  It really was just a great experience because, honestly, besides telling her what I wanted, that was all I needed to do!Such a wonderful, WONDERFUL, artist!Thank you Community Flower Shop! My wedding was 8.17.18. I had originally ordered a bridal bouquet from another flower shop in munhall and to be picked up on 8. 16.18. Needless to say this other flower shop was very inappropriate, didn't listen to me at all when we had a whole conversation of needing a bridal bouquet, and didn't care to fix the issue. I was in tears as my wedding was the next day. I didn't know what to do, so my sister called Community flower shop. They turned the whole thing around. They made me the most beautiful bridal bouquet I could have asked for, and they even did it for my sister free of charge since I had already paid the previous shop. Miranda was incredible to work with! She answered every one of my seemingly silly questions with grace and encouragement. She was even able to work in a special little trinket from my Grandma into my bouquet which other florists had said couldn't be done . We were not particularly picky on types of flowers, but Miranda was able to take a general feeling and our color scheme and make everything come to life. Truly... every single thing was stunning. You will not regret working with Miranda from Community Flower Shop for your wedding. After reaching out to a few pretty expensive florists in town, my now husband and I were almost completely 100% decided on making our own artificial flower arrangements for our wedding centerpieces and bouquets — that is, until we met with Miranda and Patrick. They seemed to get our vibe completely right off the bat, and were certainly wonderful communicators throughout the entire process. I am so happy to have worked with them. Instead of traditional bridesmaid bouquets, we wanted floral lanterns for the girls, and they made us absolutely beautiful pieces for them to hold. For our venue, we wanted a floral hanging piece for our venue to hang above us for our ceremony (and repurpose above the sweetheart table for dinner) and Community Flower Shop FREAKING DELIVERED... I cried happy tears when we got to our ceremony venue that morning and saw their work. Another note, on our 90+ degree wedding day, Miranda went ABOVE AND BEYOND by rushing to the venue before our ceremony to give my groom a brand new boutonnière, since his was completely wilted from doing 3+ hours of outdoor photos before the ceremony. An excellent resource for floral professionals. Miranda was super lovely. She was very warm and friendly, made every interaction effortless. I love the well balanced approach to design that they provided for my wedding. I had asked for mostly greenery with compliments of white flowers. They did an absolute excellent job! Instead of a traditional bouquet, I had them make myself and the bridesmaids floral/greenery wreaths. They were stunning! I saved mine as a keepsake and have it hanging up! They also provided the bridal party with floral crowns, the flower girl with a hair pin, and the men with matching boutonnieres. Community Flower Shop did an incredible job with our wedding! We were planning an out of state wedding in Pittsburgh and couldn't make it to an in person meeting -- Miranda was willing to meet with us in a video conference, including all mockups. What I love from CFS is that nothing they do is cookie-cutter. They take the basic flower arrangement and run with it to make it more organic, creative, and amazing. My husband and I both have a science background and CFS found a creative way to include test tubes in the escort card display and centerpieces without it looking obvious and tacky. At our initial consultation, they were easy to work with, and we felt like they knew exactly what we were thinking/had in mind. We had a specific archway in mind, which they did not have available so they made it for us! Throughout the planning process they were very detailed and helpful. Miranda and Patrick at Community Flower Shop were one of the easiest vendors that we worked with for our wedding. It goes without saying that their flowers are beautiful. Go look at their pictures, they will blow you away! But, what really impressed me was their level of organization and professionalism. Coming from a bride who had folders inside her folders inside her folders, I appreciated this attention to detail so much. My emails and calls were answered so quickly, and from my first meeting with Miranda and Patrick I knew exactly how much my flowers would cost and an idea of what they would look like. They sent me a thoughtful proposal which included photos and an estimate. They even helped me to customize based on my budget, which was really important to us. I just wish I had hired them earlier! Picking Miranda and Patrick at Community Flower Shop to do my wedding florals was one of the best decisions that my husband and I made during the entire planning process! We met with them to explain our vision (dark, enchanting, whimsical, romantic, organic without being bohemian in a purple/gray palette), and they came back with concepts and ideas that were exactly what we had in mind. Throughout the planning process, I contacted Community Flower Shop to add and remove things several times, and Miranda was very quick to respond and accommodated my changes without any fuss. We were able to see a mock up of a centerpiece a few months in advance to get a feel for what the florals would look like, which I appreciated. The day of the wedding, they arrived on time, set everything up perfectly, and, overall, absolutely knocked our wedding florals out of the park! They executed our vision exactly, and then some. Everything from the ceremony decor (birch arch/aisle decor) to my bouquet to the cake flowers was absolutely stunning. The guests kept raving that they had never seen such beautiful/unique florals at any other wedding before ours. Called Community Flower Shop around the end of their work day a week or so ago for a "Thinking of You" bouquet for our Aunt who is seriously ill. They delivered same day even though it was after their allotted time because she was close by. Our aunt was absolutely thrilled with the flowers and called us right away. I met with Patrick for maybe 10 minutes with a few things to go on. Our wedding was in november at an art gallery space but we didn’t want a “fall” look. My parameters were jewel tones and no gerbera daisies or calla lilies. I didn’t want a bouquet and asked for a flower cuff instead. What Patrick and Miranda created was insanely gorgeous. I am in the wedding industry, I own a wedding and event planning business... and this summer it was my turn to get married! ! Being in the business, I see many wonderful florists but, I have to say... Patrick and Miranda are so MUCH MORE than florists. They are artists. They take an idea and run with it! I was very specific on a feel and look that I wanted for my wedding and they completely BLEW me away. I walked down the aisle and actually got chills when I saw the floral pieces at the front of my altar. My wedding was far from traditional, at the Clemente Museum and the Heinz History Center and every flower that was arranged at both venues exceeded my expectations. From the first meeting, they were so open to getting to know my colors, theme and overall feel for what I wanted (and didn't want) when it came to flowers. Community Flower Shop is phenomenal! I cannot say enough about Patrick and Miranda and the stunning floral arrangements that they put together for our wedding.

I had an initial consultation at the shop where I explained the look we had in mind for our ceremony. I had a few photos that I had pinned on Pinterest as well as a photo of our linens and that was about it. That was apparently all I needed because Patrick took those ideas and ran with them!

Patrick designed 3 different centerpieces, all of which were gorgeous, as well as a sweetheart table that had it's own design and a perfect spot to display my bouquet as well. The biggest stunner of the night had to be the ceremony archway. Seriously, it was S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G. Patrick designed a whimsical archway made out of baby's breath that my guests (and photographer) are still raving about!

We just got married in October and one of the best decisions I made while planning was to use the Community Flower Shop. We didn't go too heavy on flowers for the centerpieces, but they worked with us to give us exactly what we wanted. My main focus was the bouquets and boutonnières. I wanted fall bright colors for the bouquets and incorporating a wine cork into the boutonnières (the venue was a winery). They exceeded my exceptions. Patrick and Miranda made all of my wedding dreams come true. They were so patient with me and beyond kind through the entire process. With the collaboration and effort between the 3 of us, we made my vision come to life. Without their creativity, expertise, and passion, my wedding day wouldn't have been the same. They respected my budget and gave me alternative ideas to do things I proposed that were outside of my budget. We had an initial meeting with Patrick and Becky to go over our ideas and shared a few photos with them of things we liked and the other decor we were planning for the wedding. That's all we needed to do and we got the perfect arrangements for our wedding! Really, with very little guidance, just us trying to explain the feel we were going for, they put together flowers that truly brought together the wedding! They designed a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony, varied the centerpieces perfectly to go with our eclectic look, and put together just the right bouquets and boutonnieres...I have never been to a wedding where I heard so many compliments for boutonnieres! We had a big wedding in Pittsburgh at the Pennsylvanian - and one of the most amazing parts of the day was seeing the INCREDIBLE flowers and work from Community Flower shop! Everyone was so blown away! From the moment I met Patrick, I knew I was in good hands. I did a LOT of research on florists in Pittsburgh, and Patrick was recommended to me by my wedding planner - because she knew he would absolutely get my vision and style, and he did and more! I sat down with Patrick, walked through my ideas for the day - and he just took it and ran with it. He is SO talented! I have been to a lot of weddings the past few years - and the arrangements and everything he put together was so unique and gorgeous. I had long rectangular tables and wanted long garland style to match that with mercury glass all staggered in - and he surpassed everything I could have hoped for. Not only the flowers, but he was able to get in so much mercury glass in different styles I was thrilled. One of the biggest points of feedback for the day, is that when guests entered the room - all they could talk about was the beautiful smell that was coming from all of the flowers! He was so fun to work with, so flexible and went above and beyond everything I asked for. My bouquet was so rare and gorgeous - every choice and element was just breathtaking, and he takes the time and effort to make very detailed choices.
