Its a cute thing to do with the kids but it can get pretty pricey quick as the items themselves are expensive. It does however include the paint, firing, and glazing and such. Being the fall we did some pumpkins. They have a nice variety of different items as well as a good amount of colors. You sit down as a set up station with everything you need laid out. Pick your item and colors and get to work. After you are done, they sign your name on it and date it. It takes about a week to fire and glaze it. They didnt always explain things well. I knew to put 3 coats of paint on when i overheard them explain it to someone else. But the kids had fun and were happy with their work which is the desired outcome. My daughter and her friends went here one afternoon to hang out and paint pottery. The prices were on average with other places and the selection of pieces available was decen. It didn't take very long for their pieces to be fired and they were very happy with the results. More...

Had a great experience with my 10 year old niece. The store is large and well designed and provides a pleasant atmosphere to visit . The staff was very courteous and helpful. We had a great time creating what is hopefully going to be some nice pieces (My niece’s will be gorgeous, mine will be.....). If your kids (big and small) enjoy being creative, this is the place. I came here with my bf after lunch because we were looking for an activity to do. Since it was Friday before 2 pm, it was happy hour ($5/each studio fee instead of $10). We basically had the place to ourselves for a while, albeit one or two other groups coming and going. Amber was pretty helpful with explaining to us how it worked. You basically pay for the piece you want to paint + the studio fee. I picked the dragon mug ($30) and my bf picked the Spiderman mug ($20). Pick your paints and pour them out on the ceramic palette. You can take the small containers back to your table, but not the big containers. Colors are painted on the tiles above the paint to demonstrate how the color will actually show up after. One coat is almost transparent, three coats is opaque. There are also stencils, stamps, and a few other little things if you will like. + Lots of variety in pieces and paints+ Mugs turned out pretty decent! Colors could be brighter- definitely make sure to put those three coats on!- Brushes aren't the best and many of them were frazzled, making it difficult to paint details Overall, we had a good time but it's definitely a more expensive activity, coming out to a total around $60. Brought my daughter for a Mother Daughter date first time here she had a great time she chose a poop emoji and and a ice cream to paint as for pricing they charge $8 for child to paint and $10 for Adults not including the pieces to paint place is colorful and clean all in all it was a great experience staff is nice Sally the owner help me book a birthday package for my daughter

Came here with a group of 14 adults because our inner child ages range from 5-10. The group pricing allotted for a piece worth $17, however many of the nicer items are $20+. You can take as long as you need to complete your painting, and we received good instruction on how many layers to paint, etc. after painting you leave your piece there, and it takes about 1 week to fire up. This pottery painting place is located in the Menlo Park mall. I signed the kids up for pottery painting and then my husband and I took turns staying with the kids while the other shopped. The kids had a lot of fun and we had a stress free shopping experience!There is a studio fee ($8/child; $10/ adult) plus the cost of the pottery selected (ranges from $20 and up). The process is very similar to other pottery painting places. You need to come back a week later to pick up your finished product. When we came on a Sunday afternoon, they were super busy. It is a great place to relax, unwind, and paint. The atmosphere just keeps you focused painting on your pottery. You can refill paint unlimited times and pick a piece of pottery to paint that's in your price range. When your done they take it and bake/gloss it and you can pick it up. We went to Color me mine for a team building event. There were 14 of us and we pay around $470. With that budget we could pick anything under $20. I picked a huge mug for myself, it was 16 oz I guess.
