We had Colony roofing and siding replace our roof and replace damaged trim. Â The workers took care to not damage my landscaping and were great on the clean up! We contracted with Colony Roofing to replace our roof, patio cover, gutters, screens and window beading following a significant hail storm in May, 2019. Steve was thorough in his assessment of the damage, met my insurance adjuster at my home and walked through the damage and proposed project. He managed my expectations throughout the entire project. He dealt with all of the sub-contractors and coordinated the work so that each team could get their work done without interference by crews doing other types of work. This company isn't just interested in selling a roof job; they are actually knowledgeable about building construction. And they are a certified master installer of GAF roofing products which translates into a better warranty. Their crew was efficient and professional. They did a great job and we are extremely pleased with the results. We referred several of our neighbors to Colony for their roofing needs. We also hired Colony to paint the exterior of our home. That job also went very well and was very reasonably priced. The crew thoroughly pressure washed the exterior, made some minor repairs to our soffit and other areas and applied 2 coats of paint to all exterior surfaces. Completely professional. Steve was helpful in every step of the way. He responded quickly with a estimate of work to be done and clearly explained each step of the process. After his reasonable bid was accepted he quickly put his crew to work, appearing several times during the day, to supervise. The job, with cleanup, was completed in one day. I could not be more pleased. After calling for an estimate, Steve ****** came out the next day and spent 90 minutes inspecting the roof and walking me through his estimate. He followed up that afternoon with a written estimate as well as shingle samples. His price was very competitive and well below that of many of the other roofing companies I called. They installed the roof within two weeks of my agreeing to the estimate with a dedicated crew they use for all their installations. Not to be overly dramatic, but two storms were approaching. One was in the Gulf of Mexico, and one was an insurance company that would not provide insurance unless we installed a new roof. This we learned on Monday. That afternoon I researched roofing contractors and decided I wanted a GAF Factory Certified Elite contractor because we could get lifetime protection on an entire GAF roofing system this way. I saw that Colony Roofing & Exteriors had nothing but five star reviews - lots of them, and it was a GAF Factory Certified Elite contractor. I called Steve, the owner, and he was in our home the next morning - Tuesday. The storm in the Gulf was headed our way and was expected to hit land on Wednesday evening. I explained our problem and Steve had his crew at our house at 8:00 Wednesday morning and they worked 12 solid hours to finish the installation of our roof just as rain from the storm began to fall. Steve and his son checked on the progress throughout the day and the foreman of their crew, Enrique, did a superb job of getting the job done under pressure. They came and gave me a free estimate. When I informed them that I might have to put my purchase on a credit card instead of cash he gave me two quotes one if I used a credit card and a discounted one if I paid cash. We used Colony roofing and had nothing but a good experience. I had received close to a dozen bids and their pricing was in line with the others if not cheaper. The owner pointed out things that the other companies didn't comment on unless prompted, like the need to have vents under the eves. He also was transparent in what his cost for the vents was, and told me how easy and cheep they were to do myself if interested, so it didn't feel like an up-sale attempt. This is a smaller family owned business. They have been in business for a long time, however, and are GAF Elite Certified. We were very pleased with the owner and the crew that installed our roof. The price was reasonable after interviewing several companies. The work crew was very hard working, polite, and considerate of our pool and landscaping.
