What do you love most about your job?
Hearing about new challenges and then successfully applying a mix of applied (proven) thinking and creative problem-solving to those challenges. After 30 years of doing this work, it never gets old. Neither does watching a client's eyes light up when they see the right solution.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My grandfather owned a sign painting and billboard business and I worked for he and my uncle during childhood summers. I knew that I wanted to start an ad agency from the time I was 12 years old. I started my first ad agency when I was 27. After winning numerous global creative awards, and working with some of the best people and clients in the world, I sold my shop and became president of a client's company. After helping take that company public in 1998, I started our current consultancy, Cohesion.
