Couldn't tell you enough about how amazing this place was. When you go there you feel like time has stopped ( I live in the city myself ) and you are at Grandma's house . This B& B is located in rural Maine. There is plenty to see and do just a short drive in any direction. The house is charming; the rooms are attractive; the breakfasts are delicious (homemade by Linds); and the ambience is wonderful. Nature is all around, and it is easy to sit back and relax inside or outside. The hosts are genial and helpful. We had a minor accident which needed medical attention, and Linda and Rick even offered to accompany us to the area hospital. Many positive things about our stay:1. Rick & Linda were fantastic hosts. They were gracious and welcoming and took care of all our needs. All of us are gluten free and Linda even made homemade muffins especially for us every morning. How delightful. We also enjoyed the fresh squeezed apple cider from their own trees.2. Though a ways out in the country, that was part of the charm. Their home is beautiful & well maintained.tho older. Beautiful flowers blooming. Plenty of parking. Easy to find with GPS.3. They were always easily available by phone if we had questions before our visit.4. There was a nice little kitchen area upstairs by our rooms, well stocked with coffee necessities and dishes and silverware we could use if we wanted to bring back our own lunch or supper or snacks.Only 1 negative: they didnt have AC. They provided fans in the window and for the most part it would have been pleasant. But one day was especially hot and it was hard to be cool at night. First of all, Rick, the host, was willing to stay up until our 10:25 pm arrival (we communicated about it :-) to show us into our room. The room was cozy (an attic) with 1.5 bathrooms on the same floor as us (shared with one other guest in the opposite room but she slept later than us so that was no issue). Very clean, very comfortable. Linda served us a 7:30 am breakfast so that we could make it to church 1.5 hours away. Very scenic setting, especially since we were there at the peak of fall colors.
