We used CJ's for our August 2019 wedding after seeing excellent reviews throughout wedding groups on Facebook. Our initial contact and consultation with James was great! We immediately fell in love with the flavor of everything we tried and even more so with the hospitality and care we were shown by James, as well as the affordable pricing he offers. We were able to get the food we wanted for the budget we had, which had seemed like a daunting task before meeting him. He kept in contact well throughout the process, verifying numbers and menu within good time of our wedding day. On the day of our wedding, our wedding coordinator brought to my attention that the appetizers we received wpuld be nowhere near enough to feed our guests (even though we had 20 RSVP guests that did not indeed come.) So, we did not serve our appetizers. With fear of the same issue arising with the dinner food, she had her staff serve the food, instead of doing a buffet as planned, thankfully at no extra cost. That was a good call on her part, because we ran out of 2 of our 3 sides, and were only able to serve very small portions of the 3rd side. Luckily there was plenty provided for the entrees, though. Still allowing our guests a single decent size dinner plate. After the wedding, it was brought to our attention by our coordinator and a few guests that portions were lacking. However, we decided to wait until after our honeymoon to speak with James about it. We reached out to him and he apologized graciously. He contacted his team members to figure out what may have gone wrong that day, and found that there could possibly have been an issue where a portion of our order was taken to his catering kitchen by mistake, resulting in the shortage of the appetizers and sides. He has made it right by issuing a partial refund and keeping a friendly attitude during this sticky situation & I am sure after this instance that they will be implementing new ways to ensure each order is fulfilled properly. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and punctual, the food display is set up neat and nice, the list can go on and on. Everything was well organized and very delicious. I love the variety of the menu. Everyone was very welcoming and the day of went very smoothly. I would choose them again and again. He was prompt and always kept me updated and never felt bothered when I was picky or changed my mind. He allowed us to do a tasting as well which gave me piece of mind that I had definitely made the right choice. They also catered my rehearsal dinner with his very delicious bbq and his very own sauce. Brisket is a must! And I highly recommend the low country boil, the salad bar has so many options and of course the donuts! More...

James and his team really out did themselves for my rehearsal dinner and wedding this weekend!!! He was wonderful and easy to work with! We had a Mexican taco bar for my rehearsal and everybody LOVED it!!! We did a mixture of appetizers and entrees for our wedding. Everyone’s favorite appetizers were the meatballs and BBQ sliders. And I personally loved all of the entrees we had, but the Brisket with the Peach Moonshine BBQ Sauce was a hit!! I could not have wished for a better experience with a caterer! James, I can't begin to THANK YOU enough for the AWESOME food for the Curtis Wedding.. The Brisket was Delicious and the WINGS were AMAZING! ! Sir, you OUT DONE yourself... Everyone at the wedding was bragging on the FOOD, even down to the sauces that was paired for the brisket and wings.. I like to talk to our clients at the least. Face to face is best to assure customers get exactly what they want for their special day.

Love working for myself. The freedom to be more creative.
Why should our clients choose you?
CJ'S started off doing competition bbq years ago and have been on the championship side many times. Which we brought over to our catering side. All of our meals are prepared like we want to win that championship.
