Best staff and very knowledgeable. Good price and selections
This place is the best for product knowledge!
Let me first start off and say the customer service is hands the absolute best. They know my name and my moms name( I send her sometimes if I can't get there by closing). The entire staff is so friendly and smiling. They let me try samples of honor certain coupons. They know my dog(s). I recently had to call and have them grab food as I was in route but stuck in traffic I was able to buy it over the phone and pick it up. I consider the my neighborhood dog place. Even if I move from the east side, I will continue to support because the staff is awesome and they service is great.. thanks y'all!! More...
List of pet supplies and goodies for our faithful fur friends, and fun, cool people to help you pick out gifts to take to a dinner party where the hosts have pets. The Weenie treats for Ida the pup and the catnip toy for Doris the cat were way more fun and the hosts appreciated them a lot more than a boring bottle of cabernet. More...
Sonic loves City Dog Market!!
My dog doesn't like their cookies for some reason. Prices are expensive but the personnel are always friendly and helpful. And Peyton enjoys the attention when we visit. More...
Pricey, but I'll support a local store! Staff very helpful.
This is hands down the best pet supplies store that I have ever visited. I have been there many, many times over the course of the entire time since they opened their doors. The staff is highly knowledgeable, and very pleasant, and consists of caretakers of their own multiple pet families. The products are high quality, and competitively priced.Although I have visited many such establishments over the years, those visits have primarily been to determine if anyone does what they do better. The answer is always no. City Dog does pets best. I am so happy thst this independenlltly owned business exists in my city. If you haven't done so already check it out! More...
I come here to get my dog food and bones. The staff is always nice and super helpful.
Great local pet store to get specialty food and pet items.

They have great items and as well have their own unique bath space to bathe your dog. Really useful and affordable.
Best selection of premium pet food and treats in Atlanta. Prices are very reasonable given the quality, but what really sets City Dog apart for me is the friendliness and knowledge of the staff. They're always happy to answer my questions on pet nutrition, and they remember me and my critters. More...
I live in Brookhaven, so finding this neighborhood place was an additional bonus. Their staff is both friendly and helpful, and their selection of food and doggie goodies is amazing. If they don't carry what you want, they'll order it for you (who said customer service was dead?), and their prices are very competitive. They just got another happy customer. More...
I go to Dog City Market for all my dog needs! The employees there are always so helpful. I was recently in to look at CBD oil for my ill pet and the kind lady talked with me about all the oils and suggested one to start with that also combated inflammation. So far my pet has been feeling comfortable as far as I can tell! They have any and everything you could imagine for your pup and their service is always top notch! More...
Great Selection of Dog Food and Accessories
Great products and holistic pet foods! The people are awesome too!
Nice independent pet store. Great treats and great people working here. They have some very cool treats you can't find elsewhere.
Every single sales associate was immediately helpful!!!
My favorite place to spoil my dog with treats! She'll walk along the aisle sniffing everything, then she actually chooses which treats she wants to take home. They have a great selection of rawhides and even some specialty items like freeze dried duck heads. Those are actually very popular. Great prices and friendly staff! If you sign up for their rewards system and visit often, you can rack up some good points to spend towards anything in the store. The bathing stations are super convenient too since the store is right next to the Brookhaven dog park. More...
Everyone is so kind and awesome! My boys love going in for treats and baths ❤️
Always enjoy going. There dog treats and food selection are healthy. The staff is always helpful.
Excellent shop. They have a lot of healthy options for dog food and treats and you can instantly tell that they are dog people. I love going here

The self serve dog wash was great! Jewel picked out a hide treat after her bath. The staff was friendly and kind. Thank you, we'll be back.

I'll be coming back! I'll save 20% here over Pet Supermarket, where I've been going for years. That's a lot!
Helpful staff, great selection of dry and raw food options
Love this place. Been coming for years, but decided to drop a review after an amazing experience. Our dog has a sensitive stomach and no matter what we tried, it didn't work. Today we went in and they walked us through all the different brands with ingredient lists. They gave us tons of different samples, even guaranteed that if we buy a bag of food, and our pup doesn't react well, that we could bring it back for a refund, no questions. Highly recommend this place!!! More...
The staff here are so friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. There is a great selection selection of high quality pet food, including local brands!
180. I changed my mind. Nice place.
We have been coming here for almost a year now and have never been disappointed with their selection or service. Truly a great business with employees who like what they do. Prices might seem steep when compared to Walmart or Costco but are the same as Amazon and they carry high quality products. 10/10 would recommend. More...

I love coming here for my dog Raely. We come here to get her primal raw food and goats milk. The staff is so sweet and so informative not to mention they spoil my dog every time we come and visit and every other dog that comes and visit as well.
Great raw food diet for my 12 year old pup, nutritious treats, and knowledgeable, courteous help! My favorite pet shop ever!
Shelby, our redbone bloodhound, has been going to City Dog Market for the past 8 years. She loves to "shop" all the treats and we love getting her clean in the 2 self-service baths. All of us love seeing all our friends that work at City Dog Market! More...

Everyone here is nice and knowledgeable, and they have a great selection of top brands of food and toys. You won't find low quality anything here. Highly recommended!
The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly! My first time being to such a holistic and green pet supply store.
Love this place and the people who work here!
Wash both our dogs here- love it!
Great selction of high end food with a knowledgeable staff!
Great for dog food! They have been super accommodating in helping us find a very specific type of food that our dog eats. If you want high quality puppy chow, this is a great place to go.
Great selection, amazing customer service. I was waiting outside with my dog to finish up a call, and it was a bit rainy out. As soon as we came in we were offered a towel and a treat. Lovey kind-hearted staff. More...
Mostly positive except one lady so I believe may be the manager and she just doesn’t look like she likes her job much Farm at least it seems like she’s not in a great mood each time my dog and I are in the store. The younger employees seem to have the best customer service while the older crew has their favorites and I think sometimes it may just be whoever that spends the most amount of money which is pretty sad. You may ask, maybe they just don’t like me and I honestly don’t care but I do care About an consistent positive customer service at a local business who cares about their local shoppers. So as a business owner I would advise taking a look at your customer service overall in the management department. More...
Nice space, very friendly and knowledgeable employees. But their prices are just too high. I know treating your dog like it's the high Sultan is all the rage these days, but I really don't think it's needs vegan, gluten-free, free-range, magic-crystal laced puppy snacks....
Love love love Citydog Market! The staff is so wonderful and always showers my pup in attention and treats. They have a fantastic selection of foods and so many treats to choose from! 5 stars from me and Fitz!
This place was such a great find! My girlfriend had to stop in to get dog food for her two pups, so I went with her. While she was checking out, i happened to mention my own pup was running out of food, but she didn't seem to particularly like it, so I was thinking about switching her brand. One of the fabulous people who worked there gave me a bunch of sample bags to try for free! I will for sure come back once we find out which one our pup likes best. More...
Took my Cavoodle Riker here today for a bath and could not have been more pleased. We were greeted as soon as we arrived and very politely walked through the bath area, which is quiet nice (it felt like a doggie spa) and well-equipped. They even have aprons to use while you are washing. Great selection of unique treats, friendly employees and clientele alike - four paws up! More...
The City Dog Market is my favorite pet supply store! It offers a variety of healthy treats and dog foods along with collars, leashes, toys, and other doggy care needs. My dog used to chew through his leashes when he was a puppy until I came here and bought a really cool leash made from climbing rope. The staff members promised that my dog wouldn't chew through it, and if he did, they would give me another at no charge. Long story short, he didn't chew through his leash and six years later we are still using it. I am also a huge fan of the DIY pet bathing stations. For about $18 (I think $15 on Mondays), patrons can bring their pets in and wash them with all of the supplies provided! Yes, everything from towels to shampoo is provided in the bathing stations. It really makes pet bathing less of a chore. After I bathe my dog, I usually get him a treat for being good. But on the times that I don't buy him anything, the staff members are usually generous enough to offer him a treat on the house! This store is definitely worth a visit! More...
Love this place! I have a kitty that has special dietary needs and this is the only place near by that carries it! Plus they always have super cute doggie cookies I always grab as well. They have a few do it yourself bath station rooms which are great to come and use. Frequent buyers program is great as well every little it helps! Love having this place just down the street. Parking is limited in the front but don't worry there is more in the back lot. More...
Great staff, always friendly and helpful! I use their self serve bath a lot :) They also like to spoil my dog with treats every visit!
Great selection, affordable, and healthy goodies for my pup! Love coming in and treating my dog to all sorts of things. The staff is great.
Always friendly and helpful staff. I was surprised that the Zignature canned trout & salmon dog food is cheaper at Citydog Market than both Chewy & Amazon!
I love this place. Great people. Great products, rewards points etc. I was totally out of food today, power out due to Irma, I thought I'd take a chance and see if they were open. They weren't, but were there working even with no power. They were able to help me make a purchase and worked through it. Once again, always demonstrating exemplary service! More...
Need something for your dog? Food, a collar, a bath, a toy? These guys are going to have it, and have the best selection around! No Petsmart quality junk food here; so don't even bother looking. Everything at CityDog Market will be of the highest quality for your pet, and can be personally recommended by staff that use the brands and products with their own dogs and cats. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. If you haven't been in, you are missing out! More...

Great selections, friendly staff that loves kids and dogs!
This place is great for cat owners too.
I absolutely love this place, love the products, and love the people who work here. My puppy (8 mo) gets everything of his here. It's like puppy wonderland.
Friendly site for everything you may need for your dog.
Good selection of treats & things and staff seems very friendly.
A great store! High quality pet food. Friendly and knowledgeable workers, who are eager to help.
Wide variety of gear, treats and food for your dog. Wash station available. Was able to find a softer collar and harness (made of hemp) for our small dog that I couldn't find in the larger stores. Seems to lean towards the green/environmental, all natural products. Wonderfully educated dog loving employees, never felt rushed or hovered over. Store is dog friendly, so bring your furry child in to say hello! Parking is limited and turning left out of the lot during rush hour is a challenge. More...
Have been going here for 5 years and it's consistently been excellent!
I go there to give my boys (furbabbie) a bath. They're clean and we'll stocked.
Always willing to love on my foster dogs and help me find just the right food for each dog!

Love them! They are super helpful as far as product selection and the self-service bathing stations are so good. I have a 65 lb golden doodle and he is annoying to bathe, but this place makes it fun and easy and I know he's in good hands - because I'm the one bathing him! We love taking our pups to CityDog Market for all of our pet needs! The staff is super knowledgeable about holistic pet health and are always recommending foods and other things we should try. Staff is friendly & helpful. It's because of city dog market that I am able to spoil my pups with super high-quality treats and raw food.
I'm not sure who loves this place more....me or my pup! The workers are so friendly and are always giving out free belly rubs!
More parking in the back... a massive lot.I'm not a dog owner. I can't be since I'm allergic :( But I stopped by here to pick up some toys when visiting my co worker's home w/ her 3 dogs. Honestly, I expected an OK store. Why? The outside of CityDog looks ... ok/average. But once you step inside, the layout/how items are lined up are pretty cool. Very clean. They also made sure to use their ENTIRE space efficiently. Extremely organized. Note: The items here I think are a tad expensive. However, this is Brookhaven. I'm confident the quality here is much better or probably will last way longer than a typical animal item. More...
A first rate pet store. My dog loves to visit and pick out her treats. We also like the self-service dog wash.
At the heart of the store is the STAFF. We have never had a bad encounter at this store since we started coming by.Beyond the staff, the store itself is well stocked with food for both dogs and cats. The selection of dry, canned, and raw dog foods has met our needs end to end. Every member of City Dog know so much about pet nutrition. If your pet has allergies, I encourage you to stop by and speak with them about common allergens found in pet foods. They have a dog wash also. We love taking our three dogs there for baths so we don't have to do any cleanup at home. The shampoos have a pleasant fragrance and tge best part, you don't have to bend to bathe your dog. Anyway, just go. It's amazing there! More...
They have some awesome treats and chews for dogs. A must visit for dog owners.
Fun local pet store. Dog washing station is a big plus. They also have a pet treat truck that they drive around town.
Their dog wash makes it easy to bathe and blow dry your dog. They provide shampoo, brushes and towels. Could have used a grooming table for pre bath brushing and trimming. Otherwise a great experience for me; my dog still doesn't like baths! More...
Everyone we came in contact with over several visits was very helpful and full of all of the knowledge. They have many one of a kind treats and lots of toys to choose from. There is also a great area where you can wash your own dog, and they provide all of the materials for your doggie's bathing pleasure. My only complaint here is the prices. We bought a crate for $120. A few weeks later, I was browsing online and that same crate is listed everywhere for $60. Double up gouge! More...

The staff was so helpful -- and not pushy! Wide selection of treats, toys, and food. My dog was thrilled when I got home! Will definitely be back -- once she makes it through all of the dog chews I bought.
Love this place! Can't believe I spent so many years in Brookhaven before ever going. I've been treated like family ever since I first took my dog in. Love the people, love the merchandise. Love CityDog Market! Best part - they are within walking distance (well, a decent length walk) from home! They have DIY dog washes, great treats, and a friendly, helpful team!! :)
Our dogs have issues with food so we stop by citydog market to try their brands. Lots of knowledge thumbs up for CityDog Market and Bibi. More...
What a nice and knowledgeable team! We've only had our dog for 4 weeks and came here for his first wash. We were walked through all the items in the self wash station and what tools would work best for him. While nervous at first, our dog Pickles settled in and enjoyed his oatmeal shower! After being suck a good boy he definitely deserved some treats. The selection at CityDog Market is great! Everything is natural and they do not have any products made in China which is very important to us. They really helped us pick out some great treats that fit his size, tastes and chew preferences. Definitely will come back for his next wash and for more treats! More...
Super friendly staff and great selection of all natural food!
I adore Citydog Market! Staff are kind and helpful, the selection is huge. Highly recommended
They carry a great selection of high quality products. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. I've been purchasing from them for over a year and hopefully will for many more years.
Great customer service with an array of products to choose from. Bebe is great and super knowledgeable!
Love love love this place! I went in for the first time last week and the ladies looked up the ingredients in my current dogs food to match a similar one the have there and they ended up making a whole goody bag of samples and treats. Clean and friendly staff.
Not sure who had more fun: mom or the pup? Yes, we are fans. Yes, we will be back for the sardines;)
Great, compassionate dog-loving people work here--by my standards, this is perfect. Great food, treat, toy, leash, and collar selections here. We picked up a few awesome Martingale collars from this joint and like them. They are food experts here. They can literally tell you everything about kibble, canned, or even raw foods. While we haven't taken our pets here to bathe them, on the surface, the facility for dog washing is sterile and well maintained. More...

This place is great! We don't live in the city. We live kinda out in the country OTP, but I really needed two things that I couldn't get at the local feed store. I had been feeding our dog a certain type of food that I wasn't really happy with, but the natural, high quality food that I tried to transition her to, made her tummy less than happy. We happened to be in the Brookhaven area one Saturday morning, so we popped in there. The place was buzzing with people, but it wasn't crowded. It was quaint and the set up was inviting. A really nice employee, named Brittany checked on us within a few minutes. I asked her if they had any soothing balm-type products for my Boxer's paws, as they were getting really ruff (pun intended;) lately. After she helped us pick out that product, we started talking about our issue with changing our dog's food. Our chat with Brittany felt like we had run into an old friend at a local store and struck up a conversation. She was holding her morning cup of coffee, and it seemed like she had all the time in the world for us, yet she was efficient, quick and to the point. She suggested their mildest food brand. Then, since our dog was having issues with lamb, she handed us a few samples of different types of food combos to try. She said to mix it in with her old food and leave a few days between each kind. That way, we could get a clear result from our experiment. : ) The money conscious side of my thoughts popped up in my head. I did a quick crunch of all the money Brittany just saved me, from not having to buy a bunch of 5lb bags of food that may never be finished. Yes! The experiment worked great, and we figured out that Winnie-dog needed a poultry based food because the others were too rich for her system. Brittany didn't make a huge sale that day, with us, but I am sold on CityDog Market for life. And, if she wasn't enough to make the store shine like the hidden gem that it is, I contacted the owner to inquire about Brittany's name, prior to doing this review. She responded immediately and she's a super nice, positive and upbeat person. I doubt you would get that kind of customer support from even a store manager of a big chain, pet store. They also have a great dog washing room with all kinds of nice products you can use. I read that you don't need an appointment. It's first come, first serve. When we were there, there was only one person washing his pup, so there were lots of stations open and it was Saturday! Go check it out! More...
I really like this place. They sell quality dog foods with high quality ingredients and variety of healthy dog treats! The staff are helpful too, so if you have any questions they can direct you to a brand that fits your needs. One of my favorite perks of this place are the rawhides they sell. They have pressed rawhides, which last a lot longer than regular rawhides. They also have a lot of fresh duck and salmon sausages, which my dogs LOVE!Great place with fantastic products. Definitely high quality products you wont find at your grocery store or other chain pet store. More...
My first time visiting City Dog Market was noon on a Sunday and there were people waiting outside for the doors to open. I thought it was pretty odd and had never seen this happen at a pet store, but now I know why! I am big on atmosphere when I shop, and this place has the feel of a pet supply boutique without the tacky froufrou. They have a great selection of natural products, it is extremely clean, well lit, and smells good. They also play great music, which is definitely a plus.As far as customer service, I was blown away. Without even bringing my pups into the store, Bebe helped me find the PERFECT treats and dental chews for my two incredibly opposite dogs. These 5 stars are well deserved More...

I shop at City Dog Market all the time because I appreciate their great customer service and their knowledge about pet care. I had to post to brag on the great service I received today (and I wasn't even at the store). I asked my bf to stop by and pick up my normal brand of dog food because I ran out this morning. The brand I buy has a continuing promotion for a free bag of food for every 12 bags purchased of the same size. When the staff realized they were out of the normal size that I buy (because they keep a record in their system), they stopped my bf from buying the smaller sized bag since I wouldn't get credit for that on my promotion, and gave him enough samples of the same brand to get me through until the big bag arrives at their store. I was so impressed when he told me this afterward!! I will always be a loyal City Dog customer. More...
This is the best pet store in Atlanta, hands down. The owners are friendly and the staff remembers your dogs and always has time for a belly rub. They carry great products and treats you don't have to be afraid to feed to your pet. My cavaliers think City Dog Market is like Disney and are way too excited whenever we stop by. They also have a nice selection of supplements and shampoos which we enjoy. City Dog Market is just a great place. More...
I arrived with an excitable pup, and wanted to leave. The staff however helped us out and were so accommodating. They have food ideal for dogs with sensitive stomachs and allergies.

This is the spot in Atlanta to get what you dog needs. Most chain pet stores sell things that your pet really should not have. This store sells every that you can and should give to him. If you're in this area and you have a dog you've got to go to this place every once in awhile. This is a great local pet shop with great employees and a decent selection. This is officially me and my pups favorite 'him' spot. He peruse the dog treats after getting completely tortured with a bath. I think I get as soaked as he does. They charge basically nothing and provide you with all the stuff you need to self wash your dog! He loves the staff and I recognize a few of them every time I stop in. He eats expensive dog food BLUE, which is funny because that's what we named him. I appreciate not only that they carry it but in multiple sizes and flavors etc. Blue loves the dog bakery treats and the cannoli is his favorite. They have a great selection of dog toys, treats and healthy snacks. I always buy him the jerky in salmon, duck, beef and chicken because he FREAKS out for them. Also the lamb curls, bully rings, and beef tendons are sure to keep my little man happy! I just finished his bath and after buying every treat he picked out & I left with a small receipt (treats are anywhere from $.75-$6.00/piece) and bathing your dog is about $15 +taxOne happy dog & one very wet owner. They carry all of the premium lines of food & treats, and yes, you will pay more for this kind of food but I refuse to give my "child" anything other than the best & freshest ingredient food.Acana, OraGen, and all the other top lines are carried; they also have AMAZING training courses and a clean "doggy-wash" area. The toy selection is pretty cool as well although I always get suckered into buying one because Buckley basically walks up and claims it with her mouth... "Please Daddy... PLeeeeeeease?"I love City Dog Market and will continue going there for many years to come! More...
Great place to buy your pet food!! My dog has a sensitive stomach and I needed to get her on a food that she would eat (picky) and also be able to keep down. Found out that City Dog Market carried the brand that I wanted to put her on, so I started coming here. She loves the food, so now I return for more. The employees are very attentive....which is good, but sometimes I need them to calm down. haha. I love the dog "cookies", they are so cute! I recently went in and got a pumpkin shaped cookie for my dog. She loved it. Very cute place, I recommend!! More...
I was trying to find a certain brand of cat food and so I called looking for it. They were very nice and helpful, offering to hold it for me until I could come get it after work. Very pleasant experience.
This place is great. They stock a lot of high end products and the self serve dog wash is a unique idea. The staff are always friendly and helpful as well.
I Think they located in the mid town area so it takes quite a significant amount of time because i lived in Lawrenceville. They have a small boutique kinda feeling . You will only fin the high quality here. They sell Fromm, orijen, petcurean any kind of high quality brand that you can find. They have small sample if you want to try something new.If you are new, expect there is someone that will guide you to help what you are looking for. They have small private glass room for dog wash and you need to do the cleaning by yourself. The price is not cheap because i can see they sell real good stuff. Maybe i will rarely come because the distance but it was a good store. More...
I came here or a dog wash visit only. We seemed to get extremely lucky and didnt have to wait at all for a room. The people who work here are friendly and the dog wash was just what we were looking for. You get a spray hose, several brushes and shampoos, an apron, and a vacuum like drier. This ends up being a hilarious laugh for everybody outside the glass door watching you. Picture getting to watch a girl in her twenties vacuum a german shepherd. Ya, that says it all. More...
Love, love, love this pet food store. All the employees are super duper friendly. The second you walk in the door you are baraged with several employees saying "hi, how are you" "can i help you find something". They have either been trained really well or they just enjoy where they work. Next, i enjoy the lighting of this store. It is not a bright, garish, flouresent lighting which is blinding like alot of stores. The lighting is subdued and understated......relaxing and comforting. City Dog Market has an awesome selection of high end dog and cat food which is the best part. I get my cat food here and this is the only store that has the kind of cat food i like to feed my cat. It is called Now. It is expensive but worth it as it cuts down dramatically on his waste. Easy place to get to and parking is no problem. More...
My dog Loves everything here !!! Only sad thing about moving down south, not many good pet stores here like back in GA !!!!
Love them! They are so helpful and you can tell they truly love animals. I have bought my cat food here since they opened and when my husband and I added a foster dog to the mix, they were so helpful in picking out food for him and finding treats he'd like.
I really like this store. Everything is so organized, the staff is always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, their prices are a bit high (but they carry really high end food products). We usually take our dogs there and use the self-dog baths. They are awesome! The rooms are semi-private, everything is labeled and easily accessible and they don't rush you cause we all know that most dogs do NOT like baths! More...
Love this place! Unfortunately they don't have the dog food I need, but they do have everything else. Everyone who works here is super friendly and genuine which is always nice. My favorite place to bathe my pup! You have to do it yourself, and it costs around $18... but not having to clean up my apartment bathroom after a dog shower? Well worth it. They've got a huge selection of toys, treats, food and accessories. I'm a big fan! More...
Love the CityDog Market! Everyone who works there is so knowledgeable and pleasant. There are plenty of employees to help you find what you need; you never have to hunt for someone. Their prices are comparable to the big box stores, but the service is priceless! We like their dog wash too. They really go above and beyond to make the customer happy. Lots of stuff for kitties as well, but you might look crazy bringing one in on a leash... More...
Don't let the name fool you cat owners. There is a section just for cats in the store! The staff are warm, friendly, & most importantly knowledgeable. The owner is hands on greeting customers, and it makes this shopping experience so much better than the chain stores. As a new customer, I even received a sample of cat food & treats. You can't beat that! More...
We love, love, love City Dog Market! Every time we go, we are always greeted with a warm, genuine smile, the kind you get when you know the people working there truly enjoy their jobs. It is always heavily staffed with knowledgeable people that give great recommendations. We prefer to feed our dog high quality foods and treats and we know that CDM always carries what we're looking for. I inquired about an item that was currently out of stock and someone called me a week or so later to let me know the item had arrived.I completely trust the staff at CDM and know that they truly have Canaan's best interest at heart. We don't shop anywhere else! Highly recommended! More...
Love this store! Our dogs are our children and they sure do make it that way here! They have much more authentic dog foods, spiffy collar's, beds, brushes, shampoo's and conditioners, and treats! They do allow dogs so I am always bringing my GSD "Dakota" so she can pick out a treat. You can also bathe your own dog for $15. Sometimes there is a wait, but that's no biggie! Just an excuse to spend more $! :) Which I do get in trouble because I go nuts with the shopping! The staff is amazing and they know everything there is to know about dog food. Dakota has insane food allergies so she is very limited about what she can eat, but they are very knowledgeable and always show me the right stuff. I work at an animal hospital and I am always telling people about this store! More...
I met the owner of this store a few days ago. I knew about this store but never got around to stopping by. Her passion about dogs when I was talking to her made me stop by asap!I really like this store! Anything your dog needs is in there! There is also a dog wash.I went in to get a new shampoo and skin care items for my dog. I had an idea of what I needed to buy after talking to the owner the other day. I was greeted immediately as I came in. I told the employee what I was looking for and she was super helpful. We even have the same type of dog!Her knowledge level about the products, ingredients, and general dog health was amazing! She pointed out ingredients to look for in dog shampoos to help with my dogs dry skin and shedding. She suggested bathing techniques and processes. I bought Fish Oil, Oatmeal Shampoo, and a Flea & Tick Spray (to use instead of flea and tick shampoo). I was given 2 samples for my dog to try. A treat and a small bag of food.Even though this store is not like Walmart cheap it is only a tad bit more expensive than Pet Smart or Petco! The extra money is worth it for their knowledge! Also it is locally owned. More...
My wife and I have been shopping at City Dog Market for probably about two years and I can't imagine buying our pet food anywhere else. We have two dogs and three cats and pretty much all of their food and toys come from City Dog.The staff at City Dog Market is always courteous and knowledgeable. The owners must take great care in selecting employees that are big lovers of pets. There is always a fun a friendly atmosphere and they encourage you to bring your pooches with you when you shop. They even have a couple really nice looking dog wash stations. They carry high quality food and their prices are very competitive with other stores and even online retailers. All the handmade treats the sell are adorable and our dogs just love them.If you're tired of shopping at giant, impersonal pet stores and would prefer to support a local business that loves what they do, then stop by City Dog Market. These group of people were informative and helpful. Got what I needed for my dog. Great in-store bathing unit. I love City Dog.
I was very impressed when I first walked into City Dog! This place has everything your pooch (or kitty) could want and more. From extravagant treats to a in-store pet bath. The staff was friendly and willing to help find just the right treats for lil' Peanut and Mikey. They let them smell each treat to see which they wanted to gobble up. Also there were lots of other customers with their pooches in tow with them. It was like a playground for doggies in there. I'm very pleased to have found this place as it kicks the butt of the bigger chains of pet stores. More...
I LOVE City Dog. I discovered when I was driving to the BF's house after work one day. And, I've been inside and back at least three times since. I just learned my dog has some kind of weird food allergy, and when I went in to see if I could find a new food that will stop the continuous ear infections, the staff knew exactly where to point, and explained everything on how to change the food, and what kind of food to buy. They are all about giving samples before you commit to buying. I am always a little weary about what I feed my dogs, but when I visit City Dog, I know any treat I pick up is going to be devoured, and it'll be healthier than the crap I normally pick up at PetSmart. If you have dogs, or cats, and you love them, I would suggest this place above any other boutique. It's worth the drive if you're not close, too. More...
I have come here COUNTLESS times and every single time I get amazing service. When my animals are sick, I get great advice for how to help them (in addition to vet intervention, of course). We have changed food a couple times looking for the right fit and they have always helped us pick the food that will work for us with our budget. Renee and Patsy are one in a million! More...
This place is great. Wonderful variety of pet products, and while these places are always a little boutique-ish, the prices aren't bad for the quality and character of their merchandise. The best thing about CDM is their staff. They are friendly, helpful, and really make an effort to remember you (and we aren't even there once a month). My first couple visits over a year ago I actually was a little uncomfortable...their "welcoming" attitude was a little overbearing and when you came in one staff member would kind of adopt you and follow you around, and I'm a very "leave me alone!" shopper, LOL. But the last few times we've been in it seems clear that they've learned a bit. They're just as welcoming and helpful, but have done much better about leaving a little breathing room.Sadly, since we moved to Midtown from Brookhaven a year ago, we don't get to CDM as often. We were initially excited to see Pet Set moving into our very block. That place was a huge let down, and their customer service is nonexistant, so I think it says something about City Dog that we still frequent them much more than the place next door. More...
This was our first stop after we adopted our first dog - and a rescue dog at that. They taught us everything we needed to know about nutrition, treats, even what toys would work best for our girl. We felt like they truly cared about our dog and us and have built a great relationship wtih them - even after we moved out of the city. Renee, Patsy, Bibi and Nicole are truly awesome - and are true pet lovers. We have since moved to SF - dog city - and have not found a place with as good customer service. We miss City Dog!!! More...
I lived in the Brookhaven area and drove by everyday for a year before I finally stopped in. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this isn't your run of the mill pet store! When I said I had never been before, I was given a tour of the store and told all about the different products. I left with a sample of an organic food for my yorkie. Wasn't sure I would return, but I definitely had a positive experience.Well, Phoebe gobbled up the new food, and after some research, I decided we could make a switch. I went back the next day and picked up a nice sized bag of food. Now as far as the prices--if you are feeding your pup Purina or Alpo, you are going to think that these prices are crazy. But what you should know is that those two brands may not have the best ingredients, and you do pay for quality. If you're currently feeding your pup Royal Canin or the high level Eukanuba, the prices here run about the same as those two brands.I now get all my doggie treats from City Dog too. I went in and was greeted enthusiastically, told them I needed treats for my Phoebe, and the employee took me to each treat in the store and told me what it was good for (chewing, breath, bones, ect), and I left with a baggie of deliciousness.I wholeheartedly recommend City Dog Market. My Yorkie is more than just a pet, she's a member of my family, my child. So I want her to be as healthy as possible. If you feel the same way about your baby, check this place out! More...
At first I thought about giving this place 4/5 stars because of the high prices, but then I thought about my darling pugs and how they're worth every penny, even those frivolously spent on dog toys and Gators jerseys, and decided to go with 5/5As mentioned, the staff is great. They're so nice and helpful and cheerful. They ask about the ladies even when I don't bring them with me. They have a cool bathing area that is always tidy and clean ( although Ive heard it gets busy on weekends). They carry my food (orijen) which is awesome because it means I do t have to go all the way to my vet to get it. I went in once and they didn't have any in stock but called me the next day to let me know they had recieved a shipment. They have a large selection of fancy, healthy treats which is cool. They carry a large selection of collegiate attire/ collars/ leashes which is important of course, and even have ample Gators sutff despite the owner's Alabama affiliation. This place is phenomenal. They know so much about dogs and are so eager to help you. I'd be lost puppy mom without them!About a month ago I went in there on the recommendation of my doggie day care, Dog Days, to talk to them about my dog's terrible allergies. I was about to take her to the doggie dermatologist, as she had been wearing a cone for over 3 weeks because she was itching her face raw and nothing we or the vet was doing would stop it. They took 45 mins out of their day to talk to me about what could be causing it, different food options and how to deal with it. They recommended a specific type of food and once she was fully transitioned onto the food, it took *48* hours for the massive itching to COMPLETELY go away! It was AMAZING and saved me the $500+ dermatologist bill.I can't say enough good things about this place - from their selection of foods and toys to their ridiculous amount of knowledge to their friendly, welcoming attitude. Thank you, City Dog Market!! More...
Went here to find some Christmas treats for my dog walker's pooch. Very fun place with healthy food for your dog. Met the owner and she was very nice and so was all of the staff. Merry Christmas!
City Dog Market has some of the most helpful staff in all of Atlanta. I went in to get some dog food for my jack rusell who was experiencing allergies and the owner took about 15 minutes to help me locate the right food and even gave me the information of some respected dog-sitters after I had mentioned that I was going out of town. I will definitely be back!
I made an account on yelp just so I could talk about how great this place is. It's definitely not your run of the mill pet store and you know that as soon as you walk in and you're:1. greetedand 2. greeted with a smile! These people really know their stuff when it comes to pet care, toys, food, everything. They're great with any animals that come in, not scared that they're going to mess something up or have an accident on the floor. It's a PET store, and that's the way they like it!They've got some really awesome and unique toys here. My little dachshund is serious chewer, he plowed through everything we found at Pet Smart or whichever of those useless big-box stores we went to before we found this place. We came here, told them the problem, and they knew the ticket alright. We came home with these antlers and haven't had a problem since then!Sure, some of their stuff is a little more expensive than big-box stores, but if you just pay attention you'll notice that you're not buying toys as frequently because the quality is there. Sometimes I get the feeling that they're really trying to sell you, but at the same time I know that they are genuine and wouldn't sell you anything at all that they really didn't think you need. You can tell that it isn't a serious issue, because it didn't affect that 5-star rating I gave them in the least.Awesome place, awesome people. If you love your pet, I guarantee they can help you show it! More...
I love coming to this store and my pup does too. I discovered the store while searching for grain free food online and luck would have it the store was not too far from my house. I was hooked after the first visit. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Here are some helpful tidbits:*Closed on Mondays*They offer on-site training and obedience classes taught by Jabula Dog Academy*Bathing facilities*They offer premium quality dog food (so you won't be seeing any Kibbles and Bits here)*Oh and did I mention the super friendly and knowledgeable staff! :) More...
This store is awesome! The owners and employees are all really knowledgeable about all things dog-related. They're accessible and more than happy to answer any questions you have or just chat about your dog. Products are a little pricey, but I guess that's to be expected for the quality of the items they carry. They definitely have that 'neighborly' feel and go above and beyond in customer service - I was once picking up some supplies for my dog, who was staying the weekend with friends of ours who live right by CIty Dog Market. I was chatting with one of the employees about this and she told us to let our friends know that if they needed ANYTHING for our dog, just stop by to pick up supplies and we could settle our account when we got back from the weekend. What a great gesture! More...
I visited for the first time recently, and I know I will be returning soon! Upon walking into the store, my dog and I were immediately greeted and introduced to the other dogs in the store. As we explored the store, an employee was constantly available to talk, answer questions, and suggest suitable items for my dog -- all without feeling like she was hovering or pressuring me to buy anything. It was impossible for me to resist buying a few toys and treats for my pup -- all items he LOVED. I mentioned my family dog having some digestion problems, and they offered to send a sample of a bland, natural food for her to try. Very generous of them. This store may be a little more expensive than chains like PetsMart and Petco, but it's well worth it because they offer so many quality, holistic foods and products, as well as far superior customer service. You will immediately feel like they want to welcome you into their family, and the staff is very knowledgeable. It's evident that they truly love dogs here. I can't wait to return! More...
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! We buy a stack of dog food and treats every weekend. Cannot say enough great things about this terrific business. Go - you will not be disappointed. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, and great products. LOVE IT! More...
Now I am not a dog owner, but there are three pups living in my temporary home away from home, and their owner, my good friend, swears by City Dog. We went in today to get some special all-natural food for the dogs: a black lab, a boxer, and a cute mix. I was really impressed by the enthusiasm and friendliness of the staff. They were engaging and helpful, but not in a fake or artificial way. They really seem to enjoy what they are doing, are knowledgeable, and truly love animals. There are two "washing rooms" on-site for doggie bathing needs as well. What a great place to shop: nice folks, good advice, great products and a fun atmosphere! More...
Great service, great employees. They know their products, they know your pets. Everytime I bring my dog in there it's like a kid in a candy store. I've got to be honest, I'm not one thats loyal to a lot of retail stores. I usually try to find the best price, but once I walked into this store and told them the problems my dog was having they immediately told me 3 or 4 different things to try out. I only had to try one...changed her food to a more natural food that I since haven't seen anywhere else. I buy all my dog products there and I don't care if it's more expensive than Petsmart or Petco or Kroger or wherever you people buy your dog food or any of your treats or toys it's worth it. They have all natural dog collars - I got Madison a new dog collar made of hemp and it's lasted longer than any of the others that she's ripped through. Take your dog there, you won't regret it.OH YEA, PARKING IS ABUNDANT!!! More...
When we were at the last Pugfest in October (every year people, come check it out, rescuepug.com) many of the pug owners were raving about this new dog store in Brookhaven. Now in February on a very rainy day, I finally have time to visit and I am so pleased. They are not terribly close to my part of ATL however, I will be back. Parking is right at the front door, and as soon as you walk in, truly a pet owners paradise. Loved the decor, atmosphere and the friendly service from everyone, even other pet owners who were shopping. It was such a wonderful place.Okay, now I will tell you why I drove to the other side of town.1.) They were recommended by soooo many people - now I see what everyone was raving about.2.) They carry the all natural, organic food, treats and supplements for my fur babies3.) They carry earth-friendly, non-toxic toys and products for my fur babies4.) Renee one of the owners is a BAMA fan - need I say more? ROLL TIDE!! But they do have the most adorable pet accessories for all of you other collegiate fans as well.Truly a great place, if you love your pets as much as you say you do, you will stop going to the big "chain" places and start buying quality food, toys and accessories for your pets at City Dog Market. Plus you will leave with a smile on your face. More...
I love this place!!! First, it's in my neighborhood, so it's beyond convenient. Second, they carry many super premium brands of food and treats that no one else carries. Third, they share my philosophies on dogs. I know to plan on spending at least 45 minutes every time I go there, because that's how much time I will spend standing around yacking with the CityDog women after I have bought whatever I needed. I tried the dog wash once, but I ended up wetter than the dog and also found the tub just a little too high for short me. She was not happy with her bath and would huddle up against the back wall so I was having to lean to reach her and ended up straining my back a little. As it is I will stick with my nice enclosed shower stall where I can have a wet t-shirt contest without having to go out in public afterwards. More...
I recently went to CityDog Market to find some nutritious food for my Yorkie. They have really good, organic food that actually has real meat and not meat byproducts and fillers. The owner helped me find the right food and pet supplies and was very knowledgeable. This was a very different experience from going to PetsMart where no one offered me help and I left feeling frustrated and confused. I would recommend CityDog to anyone! More...
