Chris Cooper, CFP®, is a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary. As a professional fiduciary, he works with seniors, disabled persons and other individuals who can't manage their affairs on their own.

A fiduciary, regardless of whether you are a lay person, such as a family member, or a professional, such as Chris, is responsible for managing the care, the safety, and the general wellbeing of the person for which they are responsible, as well as the management of his/her assets. As a trustee, a fiduciary is responsible for carrying out the terms of the trust and managing the trust assets. He or she is appointed by an individual or court to assume a position of trust and responsibility. As a conservator, the fiduciary is responsible for managing the estate and personal affairs of an individual who had been legally determined to be physically or mentally incapacitated.
