We were there last night, 10/30/19; it was good. We both ordered La Calle Tacos (carnitas) with beans and rice. It was very good. My only complaint would be not enough tortilla chips and salsa! I wish the restaurant would give you a basket of chips and not just 6 of them and one tiny cup of salsa. Please be more generous Chelas! WOW!! Couldn't be more impressed if I wanted to be! Went for lunch today and my goodness everything was DELISH!! The bathroom was immaculate and the cleanest I've ever seen, not even a water spot. The seating/dining area was very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff all with smiles. The food was absolutely amazing. The chips are nice and crunchy and tasty. I don't think you can go wrong ordering anything there. The torts are homemade and my goodness I could have eaten so many just as a side order with some salsa! Excellent fast food mexican for full flavor that doesn't taste like fast food. They now serve breakfast all day! Excellent flavor on the steak and chicken tacos. Very authentic. Their sauces are also on point. Prices for happy hour or Taco Tuesdays are more than reasonable. Love this place for Taco Tuesday! On my first visit, I was a bit unimpressed that the only deals were for crispy tacos, so I went with the rib eye tacos ($2 for 9) while my husband got the crispy chicken tacos (2 for $5. 50). While the rib eye tacos were outstanding, the crispy chicken tacos were unbelievable - a major sleeper hit! I couldn't believe how flavorful and delicious they were, especially at that price. So now, we go frequently on Tuesdays and each get two crispy chicken tacos and chips and amazing homemade salsa. We are able to leave full and happy for $15 total between the two of us. Happy to be back after 2+yrs!  There are limited options in south OC so went back to Chelas and glad we did.  Service is much improved and food is back to delicious.  Best thing is now they serve breakfast all day and I can add Chile verde carnitas to the breakfast burrito without them telling me no.  Orders are correct and no skimping on ingredients.
