We have used Chef's Catering a number of times now to cater conferences (100+ people) at work. Each time it has been a great experience! Not only is their food great (attendees RAVED about a latin-style buffet we had for one conference), but the service is always exceptional. Before the event, Jillian is always very accessible and happy to answer any of my myriad of questions. The day of the event, Mike and his team are always extremely attentive and prepared. Mike checks in regularly on how things are going and even takes care of extra tasks, like putting up extra food signs I have made. And all of this for a fair price! I planned am event on Father's Day (work related) I was a little concern about using a company that I didn't knew anything about it other than a friend recommendation I decided to go for it and used their services. Planning the meal, adjusting the menu a few times was very easy. They were 100% professionals and easy to get in touch and go over any concerns. The day of the event, they came and set things up and I had so many of the guesses telling how great the food was. Even one of guys that does this for a living was telling me how much he loved the pulled pork. I highly recommend this for any event that you may be planning. You won't regret it. We recently ordered from the Barbecue theme menu for our family party aboard the Sam Patch Canal Boat. Everyone enjoyed the food a great deal! Placing and picking up our order was made very easy for us. The food was well-prepared and packaged and ready to go! We were able to easily set up and serve, buffet style, with the provided containers and serving utensils. Favorites were the pulled pork, Hawaiian kabobs and pasta salad. We had a catered event for a graduation at the U of R for about 50 people and Chef's made it a huge success. Chef's Catering did an awesome job for our Workshop at the University of Rochester on 4/1/2019. The food was delicious, so tasteful, and Mike Zazzaro was so easy to work with. He was very flexible when I had to make changes at the last minute. Our workshop had 164 people and many came up to me to tell he how good the food was. Can’t say enough about Chef’s Catering. Mike, Matt and their staff did an “amazing” job on my sons I Do BBQ. Had many compliments on the food and there was plenty of it. Don’t hesitate to call them. My husband and I are SO incredibly happy we chose Chef's as our wedding caterer! From the moment we emailed Jillian & Mike, we felt taken care of. Throughout the process, they were extremely responsive, answered all of our questions, were very thorough, and just amazing professionals. Jillian went above and beyond and did a site visit with me to our venue about 3 weeks before the wedding to go over the set up, speak with the venue owner, and make sure that the day would go seamlessly. You can tell they do these events ALL THE TIME and are experts at it. We chose buffet style for dinner and the food was fantastic. Oh my goodness - the mac and cheese station - to die for! Our guests were raving about the food!! They were also super accommodating to dietary restrictions, as we had a few guests who were gluten free and vegetarian. Not to mention, they fed our 180 guests probably within about 20 minutes or less (with 2 buffet lines - genius). Chef's seriously is the best and we don't know how we would have done it without them! My wife and I hired Chef's Catering for our wedding and they were pleasant throughout the entire process! We wanted an entree that wasn't quite on their menu, but they customized things for us so we had a unique dinner. Chef's catered my bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, and baby shower. I would've had them do my wedding, but my venue didn't allow an outside caterer. Their food is always delicious and beautifully presented. They did all of the set up/clean up, provided everything we needed, and made my cakes too, so I was able to relax and enjoy each of these events. Food is really important to me, which is why I use chef's - it's not the dry, bland, so-so food that you usually get at a catered event or banquet hall. We handed over the reigns to our wedding weekend over to Chef's catering. The results: EVERYONE couldn't stop talking about the delicious food and the top notch service. We even took the leftovers home and made another picnic meal out of it during our gift unwrapping party!The relationship with Chef's started 9 months out after we had picked our venue (Grainger Homestead in Canandaigua). We met Chef Michael Zazzaro and his staff at their kitchen. We had queued Chef Michael ahead of time that we wanted at bbq theme for our wedding dinner. We tasted an assortment of apps and bbq meats. We were hooked. Chef's put together a bbq package for our party that was out of this world. We had a 4 item app station with 3 styles of dips concoctions. Dinner was an array of mouth watering bbq meats and MUST HAVE mac-n-cheese bar. Pair that with tableside salad and a bartending staff that was VERY professional and attentive. Our guests had a GREAT time.Chef's catering also did our three-tiered and three flavor wedding cake as well as my brothers special birthday pie!Chef's also came to the rescue with plated Italian dinner served inside the Grainger Homestead for our rehearsal. Wow...chicken parm and pasta Bolognese (off the freakin' hook!). I didn't taste the gnocchi or the veggie option, but no complaints from my guests.EVENT COORDINATION!!! Cathryn was the bomb! I can not tell you how much my bride appreciated Cathryn's day-of/night-of services. She rallied the staff during rehearsal and she stuck around til midnight to make sure our rental company had things in place. Her staff executed and had everything staged for our arrival. She was attentive to everyone's needs. Everything went off without a hitch on our wedding day. Cathryn was worth every penny. I hope she continues on with Chef's catering. We hired Chef's Catering to cater our wedding and we could not have been more pleased with the end result. We had multiple people in our wedding that have food allergies and Chef's was more than willing to work with us to make our wedding exactly what we wanted. They were quite knowledgeable about our allergies and were also conscientious to ensure the food was prepared safely. Our Wedding meal was entirely gluten free and we had numerous people (including the band and photographers) tell us that this was one of the best wedding meals they've had. We also used got our bartenders and day of coordinator through Chef's and both were great. Cathryn Calabria, our day of coordinator, was specifically wonderful. She met with my wife and I multiple times, and coordinated with all of our vendors to ensure that everything went smoothly the day of our wedding. The only minor drawback we had with working with Chef's was that we needed to ask multiple times for our final invoice. That being said, we still received the invoice prior to the event and the only error that was made, was quickly corrected by Cathryn without issue. A choice of sandwich/wrap, side macaroni or loaded baked potato salad, homemade kettle chips & choice of cookie were offered. Great food, Great experienceI do not usually do reviews, but I feel the need to let everyone know about my experience with Chef's Catering and their staff. I have had many parties and have referred them to the company I work for and they have used Chef's Catering for several events as well.The food was cooked to perfection, the service was spot on, and the professionalism of Michael and his sister Jill along with their staff was very helpful. We received multiple compliments and I have never heard a negative comment from anyone at either parties.In my opinion the negative review from Carol Samuels who I am sure is not a real person sounds like someone is very jealous, or vindictive against Chef's Catering, unfortunately that is the uncontrolled use of social media, because anyone can be anyone. Chef's catered my wedding in October 2016, we had a sit down family style dinner. It was truly one of the highlights of the day. Having never been to a wedding in which they chose family style dinner, I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. To say that the exceeded every expectation still feels like an understatement. I placed a big bet on Chef's Catering and it paid off. They were our cater for our rehearsal dinner and our wedding, bar service, week of coordination services and provided our cake. Their service and quality was outstanding! Everyone at our wedding raved about the food, my husband and I are foodies and we wanted to be sure we had amazing tasting food at our wedding, and Chefs did not disappoint. One of our biggest fears was cookie cutter banquet food, and we got far from that. They worked with us to develop an outstanding menu for both our rehearsal dinner and our reception.

I must include a special call out to Cathryn, who was our week of coordinator from Chefs. She was outstanding, she made my experience as a bride perfect. She went above and beyond to be sure everything was exactly how I wanted. We had an unfortunate situation with our rental company, and she stayed until midnight the evening prior to the wedding to be sure everything was taken care of. We also had crazy hot and rainy weather... but no fear, Cathryn worked with us on a game plan and everything was put into place very quick. Her and the rest of Chefs staff did whatever they had to do to ensure everything went smooth. There were many things last weekend that could have been a bit rough to deal with, but I did not have to worry about one thing!!
