We recently worked with Chad for our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos and we really enjoyed working with Chad. He is very easy to work with, funny and doesn't make things awkward. Chad photographed our wedding in Minneapolis, and it was an absolute pleasure working with him. He was fun to be around, easy to work with, and made sure to get any photos we requested. And beyond that he hung around us and our guests just snapping photos when the timing was right. He even rode the light rail train with the bride and bridesmaids on the way from the hotel to the venue, enjoying the photo op. Just in the few photos we've seen so far, we're already thrilled to have chosen a photographer who makes a point of capturing the special moments of our wedding rather than just doing a requisite set of Pinterest posed photos. Chad also took our engagement photo set, which was also fun, though more formal. He has been easy to communicate with, throughout. We are so looking forward to seeing our full wedding photo set! We had Chad photograph our wedding in Duluth this past weekend, and he was absolutely FABULOUS! He was knowledgeable, professional and made everyone feel so comfortable around him. He made our wishes his priority when it came to the posed pictures and when those were finished, he hung out in the background capturing all of our special moments with the people that we love. My husband was so impressed with Chad's preparedness, having all of his equipment set up in our reception space before we even arrived. I don’t even know where to start, Chad was amazing! I love his laid-back personality and sense of humor. Friends of ours whom had Chad photograph their wedding recommended him to us and we will definitely be recommending him to friends in the future. When initially deciding on a photographer Chad was willing to meet me for coffee so that I had chance to get to know him and see some of his work. Chad deserves 5 stars all around! From the beginning, working with him was so easy, and he was such a joy. He made my husband and I feel so comfortable. We were a little nervous to do the engagement photos because posed pictures aren't really our thing, but Chad made it so relaxed, and the photos turned out amazing.
On the wedding day, he was just as great! He never interferred with anything and was extremely flexible but somehow managed to capture the most amazing shots. The day was extremely hot, and it was very hard for the group to take pictures outside because it was so humid, but Chad worked quikly and diligently to get great pictures taken in a matter of a few minutes. He really adjusted and tailored his style to our group, which was very nice.
I think above all, I was most overly impressed by the way Chad captured the day. After seeing all the photos, the moments and times he captured were exactly the way I had experienced them that day and truly brought to life my wedding. It was as if he had known my friends and family for years and knew exactly what was important to me, without me even really communicating every detail to him.

Chad Richardson did an excellent job and was an excellent value for the quality of service provided. We are very happy with the pictures that we received and the slideshow he made for us. Our only criticism is that he seemed almost too relaxed, I think that we would have liked him to provide a little more input about taking pictures instead of asking us what we wanted. Chad was the best wedding photographer we could have possibly asked for! Our wedding location changed to a town a little off the beaten path (as in: about 5 hours off the beatn path) and he was still able to swing it. He showed up on time, with a smile, and after he got to work we didn't even know he was there. Rest assured that out of all of the things that can possibly go haywire at your wedding or event, at least as far as vendors go, having amazing photos will not be one of them if Chad is behind the camera. Chad was a great photographer. Very professional, honest and exactly what we wanted. He does photo-journalistic style, but also took just enough posed photos to make the family happy. Chad recently photographed our wedding in Key West and my husband and I couldn't be more in love with the results! We had family and friends in from all over the world and Chad captured every moment of emotion! (mostly a lot of laughter!!)

Chad is just incredible. He is just the nicest guy for one thing. I am so glad he was there to document our day. He is very humble and actually seemed genuinely honored to have such an important part in our day. He facilitated the private unveiling between Andy and me and was excellent when working with such a large wedding party, including kids. The rest of day, after the ceremony, I barely noticed him. Chad's profession is photojournalism for a newspaper and it shows. Chad also did our engagement photos (in my bio) this summer as part of our package and he is fantastic. He is extremely pliable, but knowledgeable. For our package, we got complimentary engagement session at the location of our choice with a complete CD of all the photos and rights to them; 8 hours of coverage on the wedding day and TWO photographers (one of which won 2nd place in the state photojournalism contest), a DVD slideshow of our photos set to music of our choice; a bound book of all the proofs; a hardbound coffee table book of selected photos of our choice, $500 credit towards his printing services, and a CD with all the photos again and the rights to them. He is such a laid back guy, neither he or the other photographer (Andrew) requested meals during this 8-hour excursion. I made sure they were well-fed regardless. Our package was not expensive. We got a 15% discount for a winter wedding which brought all of the inclusions in this package to $2300. I�m glad I allotted more money into the budget for the photographer, because the pictures are all I will have left (aside from vague memories). He has a knack for capturing special moments, as they were, in an artful way. His pictures conjure the same emotions experienced as the moment that the pictures were taken. More...
