Not the best place for food but it is a good price. I enjoyed my meal and my drink and recommend for happy hour but if you are looking for something more than pub food then you won't get that here. Definitely the place to go to DANCE! Dj awesome, great mix of music. Floor was packed by 12ish. Sitting is very limited outside not sure about anywhere else. Really great time for daughter's birthday! You can get a 3 hr package deal with specials for birthday girl/guy minimum of 10 people. Drinks are good normal for bar. Didn't try any food. Came back again, just for food. Â Checked in via yelp and snagged a free beer (with a nice tip). Â Food was good as always. Â The bar was a little quiet for a Saturday afternoon, but the bartender was still very nice and encouraged my use of the freebie. Â Never disappointing!

I love this place! I've been coming here every Monday for the past 2 years. I love the half off cheesesteak Monday. Mai used to work on Mondays and was terrific. She now works Sundays and that's why I'm here today. Kassidy is also amazing but it's hard for me to get in to see her because of my hours. Staff is your greatest asset and I'mA huge fan of hospitality because I work in the industry. I come here for the delicious food and nice people, but keep coming back for the friendly and wonderful staff. Lauren takes good care of us on Mondays and sometimes I get to see Jen and Mary. All great. Come for the food and cool neighborhood sports bar with great food and drinks... stay for the wonderful staff!!! You've got a customer for life guys! More...

Half price Cheesesteak monday at Cavanaugh's Rittenhouse! I would have liked this CS at full price. It comes with fries or tots. Lots of fried onions and they gave it a great taste! This restaurant didn't disappoint. It was late, around midnight on a Friday and we were starving. We were looking for somewhere close to where we were staying that was more casual than a restaurant. I've been to other Cavanaugh's locations, so I had an idea of what I was getting into. It's a bar with bar food which is what we were looking for. Nothing more and nothing less. The waitress was nice and there was a dj that played a mix of music. Our food and drinks came out quickly and the food was hot, while the plates were not. They say nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels. Those people did not have the chicken and waffles. Seriously this is one of the best tasting meals I can remember and definitely the best food at a sports bar. The tater tots are to die for.

My trip to Cavanaugh's Rittenhouse was nothing short of enjoyable. As a college football fan from the SEC it can often be difficult to find a comparable gameday experience in the north. The atmosphere of the bar was rocking and there was a large alumni base passionately cheering and enjoying a nice variety of bottled and tapped beers. There were ample televisions strategically placed for all to take in the action. A friendly and attentive staff made the experience all the better and I recommend Cav's for any college football fan. Fun sports bar! We came on a Sunday when the Eagles weren't playing and there were a good variety of fans watching the 1 o'clock games. I drank mystery beers (randomly selected in paper bags) and was lucky to get pretty good ones (victory summer beer and a cider). I've heard not everyone is so lucky- but they're cheap! We had already eaten, but the food around us looked great. We made friends with the table next to us and we ended up eating some of their funnel cake fries - delicious dessert for game day! More...

Oh, what is there to say about Cav's Rittenhouse - the fatter, older brother of the Cavanaugh's in Philly. Â The good: Â The Center City location is great. Â Good for afterwork drinks, after dinner drinks or watching-the-game drinks. Â The food is excellent and good for the price-point - in particular, I believe they have the best traditional wings in the City. Â The tots are great, good burgers, etc. Â The seating is comfortable and the bar seems generally busy if rarely packed. Â The bad: Â The servers are nice, but sometimes a little slow. Â The bar is pretty out of date, with over-lacquered tables and bars, etc, but it adds to the typical dive feel. Â The beer prices and selection are mediocre - some specials are good, but usually we're talking 3-4 dollars for a miller lite or similar (which is fine and normal) but rarely can you get a good drink in cheap. Â The better options (Yards) are also sometimes on special and can be cheaper than other places so YMMVThe TV selection is good but can get a little mixed up on Weekends if you have a football preference. Â In particular, for football, if you want to watch a non-local team (not really my problem, but is for others), it can be hard to find a table and have them put the game on for you so you can see it.
