Calista has a style and polished class that comes with all of her design. She is ahead of the curve and knows the current trends and is always on the cutting edge. Her eye for detail and color are inspiring. I have worked with Calista on many projects as a rep for a tile company in the past and now with Cosentino showcasing Silestone and Dekton for flooring, facades and countertops. Calista specifies and seeks out the most beautiful and luxurious finishes for all her designs and her good taste and sweet personality make her a pleasure to work with on all levels. I would highly recommend Calista for all your design needs. More...

Calista Interiors assisted us with home plan design, integration of design into the marketing process and staging & shoot coordination of our show homes. Calista's recommendations for our home plans were brilliant, they have helped us develop highly functional and pleasant homes that are of immediate attraction to buyers. She shared her deep insights into how design elements can support marketing efforts against target buyer profiles. And she worked tirelessly for long hours with constrained resources to help stage our show homes as warm, exciting and inviting cottages, both for the walk-in experience and for video and photo shoots.

Calista is an impeccable professional. Her work output is always clear and fully detailed; she responds quickly and delivers promptly, and she tackles every detail and every coordinating element. Her passion and creativity is evident, and it is impressive and appreciated that she has harnessed it to such an impressive work ethic and sharp organizational ability.

I had a great experience working with Calista to replace the furniture in our family room. We were wanting to maximize the seating in the room without overcrowding it as it is not a large room, and we also felt that we needed color advice for the room, so we decided to seek the help of a professional. We are so glad that we chose Calista to help us. After an initial consultation, she worked out a perfectly scaled plan for the room, and after getting our approval, went shopping with us to select just the right pieces in colors that worked together beautifully. We absolutely love the results. We appreciated Calista's professionalism as well as her eye for design and color and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone wanting interior design help. I had some water damage in my kitchen from a small 15 year leak. I needed to replace the affected cabinet parts, sheetrock, flooring, and subflooring. Because the counter top was formica and would be damaged during removal, the contractor told me I should plan to replace it.

I hired Calista Munnell from Calista Interiors to help me quickly make smart and attractive choices for the counter top and flooring.

Initially I wanted to go with a marble called Rain Forest Green. Calista talked me out of it. She explained marble is too soft for the wear and tear experienced by most kitchen counter tops. Because I really wanted something attractive, durable, and low maintenance, Calista recommended granite. We walked through several places and looked at hundreds of slabs.

Of course I liked some of the more wild and crazy slabs. She pointed out the slabs with large patterns might not look as good with big holes cut out of them for the range and sink and it might be more difficult to attractively align the seams. All good points.

I plan to sell my house in a few years. So when I fell in love with a very intense slab of Ocean Red, Calista explained it would be a very polarizing choice. Some potential buyers would like the red, many others would not. It would be best to select a counter top that would appeal to a broader cross section of people. I thought about it and decided she was right.

We finally settled on a beautiful slab of Kosmos from Pental. It looks great with the existing cabinets.

Calista and I talked briefly about the back splash. I knew I didn’t want to run the Kosmos up the wall. A few days later Calista showed up with the perfect selection: a metallic glass and stone mosaic (Titanium) from Tierra Sol. It will perfectly tie the exiting cabinets together with the new counter top. Very exciting.

I knew I needed a new kitchen sink and faucet, but I didn’t want to spend a second looking through the hundreds of sinks and faucets available at Home Depot and Lowes. Calista quickly recommended a beautiful under mount stainless steel sink and matching faucet. Excellent.

Finally we shopped around for new flooring. The original flooring was solid maple and limited to just the kitchen, nook, front entry way, and guest bathroom. The carpet was 15 years old and starting to show its age in high traffic areas. Calista recommend ripping up the carpet and covering the entire downstairs with hardwood flooring. It’s strong, easy to care for, and will increase the resale of my home. I grew up in the South in an old house with hardwood floors. It didn’t take much to convince me to replace the dingy carpet with beautiful solid wood floors.

I’m very thankful for Calista’s time and insights. She was the perfect partner for me. Now my home is more beautiful than ever.

Calista assisted with the design and materials for our bathroom remodel. Her eye helped us transform an out-dated, cramped 50's style bathroom into a modern oasis with an earthly, spacious feel despite no change in floor plan. This is a direct result of recommendations on colors and materials, specifically the slate tiles and bamboo flooring. She was extremely resourceful when it came to options and gave us the time and tours to help us make the right decisions for our home. She's an amazing design consultant, both in skill and personality! More...

We used Calista Interiors for both our 4100 square foot vacation rental house (Grand Fir Lodge in Suncadia) and our Seattle residence. The job for our Suncadia house involved selecting, purchasing and installing ALL the furnishings including furniture, beds (15 of them), pictures, and decorations. We believe we received very good value for what we paid and our rental guests greatly enjoy the way the house is setup and decorated. I highly recommend Calista Interiors for help in doing this kind of work. The style of the house in Suncadia is a large wood, lodge style. Calista Interiors also helped us with wall colors, furniture, 3 bathroom and a kitchen remodel at our Seattle residence that is a 1932 brick tutor. We are very happy that that job also and again, highly recommend Calista Interiors for that type of work. More...

Calista is a wonderful talent. She combines great design skill with business acumen, which I've found to be a rare blend in the world of designers. I've not only hired Calista to create exterior color schemes for new homes, but also to merchandise model homes and sales offices. I've developed so much confidence in Calista, that my wife and I hired her to create the specifications for our own home remodel project. We're fans! More...
