I’ve never worked with a vendor like Swag Pro’s. They are super responsive, organized, helpful and extremely accommodating. Not to mention the staff. We have a saying that “people buy people, then they buy things.” I keep coming back for the amazing service and great products. I would recommend Swag Pro’s to anyone! More...

Very professional! I learned a lot from Phil's expertise. He explained the best way to set everything up to give us the best final product at the lowest cost. He really knows his stuff and I found him to be less expensive than other graphic designers we've used in the past. We were totally thrilled with the way everything he did turned out. I will and have recommended him to other friends looking for a graphic designer that knows his craft. More...
What information do you need from a client before you start work?
Typically I’ll need a full description of what the job entails, along with any pictures and text they have that they want in their job (i.e. a brochure, postcard, brochure, flyer, catalog, etc.).
However, it really depends on the job but I will always need to discuss it with the customer before starting. This way they’ll always get the exact result they are looking for.
I also require a 50% deposit before starting the design job, which will be sent to you as an invoice from my merchant (Square). If there are multiple parts to it and you can’t afford to pay for all parts at once we can take them one at a time. I’m very flexible when it comes to helping my clients. Printing jobs, on the other hand will require full payment upfront, at least until we have a good working relationship with no payment issues for the first 3-4 months. (You would be amazed at the people who have stiffed me that were filthy rich. One example was from a fan club created “Slash” from Guns & Roses, and even though his assistant had gotten permission from Slash to pay it (and she had been given the quote before I started, ultimately Slash didn’t feel like paying for it because I think he changed his mind about the project after it was done. I had to take him to court over the matter and I won of course).
What sorts of printing projects do you usually cater for?
Everything, literally. There is no job I cannot produce.
Describe your creative process.
The creative process begins in my mind with visualization. That is then translated to my design software on my recently purchased, high-performance Mac computer.
As I mentioned earlier, I work hand in hand with my customer to give them a job that they are extremely happy with by going from concept to completion. (I am so precise in my artwork and typesetting that I measure everything down to 1/64th an inch if I am asked to duplicate something. I also have a library with over 30,000 fonts and am highly adept at typography and matching it to your design to give you a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece of artwork, printed job, promotional product(s), or apparel. I also design pixel perfect sized art for web use, which I provide to one of several extremely talented web and mobile web designers that I work with.

What do you love most about your job?
I love to come up with new ideas for my customers that I haven’t done before, especially when it comes to printing; however I will still provide the customer whatever they require. Imagination and visualization are key to my design process along with the customer’s input.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I like working for myself because of the freedom to work around the clock for my customer if required. I also like not having a boss or supervisor looking over my shoulder. I’ve been doing this now for 26 years so I don’t need to work for anyone as I have all the knowledge I need to run my own business.
Why should our clients choose you?
I not only know how to design professionally but unlike most designers I’ve worked in and around the printing industry my whole life. I know everything about the prepress process and how to set up your job for press 100% perfectly!
