We just love NOLA they have the best food 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and better yet they love dogs, they bring out a water bowl and dog bones every time we visit for our little girl!

Food and atmosphere was great. Food was fast and hot. Ordered the full oyster PO boy and it was huge. Tons of oysters on it. Fries were a great addition. Also had the fried green tomatoes which was a great starter. I did expect going in that it was going to be a full service restaurant... it is not so be prepared for that. If you're looking for authentic New Orleans cuisine in Pensacola this is DEFINITELY the place to go. You'll get your money's worth with the quality AND quantity of food that Cafe Nola serves. Of this type of food I'll say hands down, it's the Very BEST I've ever had & not just in Pensacola! I wouldn't hesitate to drive across town for the quality of food that Cafe Nola serves. A couple of us had the Red Beans & Rice & another in our group had the Fried Shrimp basket. We all had Fried Green Tomatoes. All of the food ordered was delicious! The Baskets come with slaw, fries & hush puppies. For only a $1.00 upcharge you can get sweet potato fries or onion rings. I'm a pretty picky eater & NOT a fan of fried shrimp, hush puppies or sweet potato fries. Though I'll always try someone else's sweet potato fries, I prefer raw sweet potatoes as opposed to cooked. Cafe Nola has succeeded in changing my opinion on ALL three of these foods!!! The Fried Shrimp, Hush Puppies & Sweet Potato Fries at Cafe Nola are the very BEST I've ever had . That is exactly what I'll be ordering on my next visit. The fried shrimp at Cafe Nola are a good size & very lightly breaded. The hush puppies are bigger than most places & really moist inside. The Sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked. AND, if you like Red Beans & Rice you've definitely got to try them on your visit to Cafe Nola.An A+++ meal! Fish basket with onion rings was great. Way too much food for one person. The red beans and rice was so thick and had big chunks of sausage, was so good. It took about 30 minutes before our food was brought to us but was worth the wait. Next time Bren and I will share a fish basket and get a bowl of red beans and rice. We loved the place. More...

Take it from a chef from New Orleans Cafe Nola is the place to go! My wife and I are from New Oleans and visit a few times a year. We are cautious about going out for seafood around here because we have very high standards, especially for fried seafood. Well I can tell you Cafe Nola has set the bar high! The Nola Seafood platter for two is a must. Dont let the price sway you, it is plenty of food, may even be enough for 4. It comes with fries and onion rings as well as homemade hushpuppies. This huge platter also comes with TWO soft shell crabs! You dont even really see that in New Orleans. Fried to perfection! I would stack them up against any place in New Orleans! We recently tried this place last night, the prices and the portion sizes looked very good, however I did find two issues with the place itself, we ordered 3 dozen oysters and to our amazement they was very good and pretty good size for the price, but I felt as though they was not freshly shucked when we placed the order, the oyster shells themselves where very clean inside and out, I've been to other places that has served oysters on the half shell and I've always had 1 or 2 oysters where the person that shucked the oyster didn't get the entire meat cut from the shell, all 36 of our oysters where clean cut and a few oysters seemed a lot smaller that the shell itself, beyond that I'll have to return again, the one complaint I do have with this establishment is that you place your order at the counter, you have to get your own drinks and refills and all they do is prepare your meal and bring it out to your table and then ask you if you want to leave a tip when you sign your receipt when you place your order.
