We recently tried this place last night, the prices and the portion sizes looked very good, however I did find two issues with the place itself, we ordered 3 dozen oysters and to our amazement they was very good and pretty good size for the price, but I felt as though they was not freshly shucked when we placed the order, the oyster shells themselves where very clean inside and out, I've been to other places that has served oysters on the half shell and I've always had 1 or 2 oysters where the person that shucked the oyster didn't get the entire meat cut from the shell, all 36 of our oysters where clean cut and a few oysters seemed a lot smaller that the shell itself, beyond that I'll have to return again, the one complaint I do have with this establishment is that you place your order at the counter, you have to get your own drinks and refills and all they do is prepare your meal and bring it out to your table and then ask you if you want to leave a tip when you sign your receipt when you place your order.
Great Food! Their Roast Beef Sandwich is the best! Big and Tasty! Beautiful Beach view! Can’t wait to come back!
I found them at the fair!! My first experience with them. I had the shrimp poboy. It was awesome!! Awesome service as well!!
Amber Nichter Haney
Delicious! Very generous portions. We placed our order online and didn’t realize until after that the off season hours were different. The order was placed a half hour before close, not an hour and a half! I felt terrible. They were still so nice. Great customer service, quality and variety! More...
Great food and drinks. Friendly staff.
Amazing atmosphere, scenery, food, and staff... I love the shrimp.

Great food! The restaurant stays true to the NOLA roots. Love that!
Fresh Gambinos bread - great menu, great atmosphere, GREAT service, and the food was On Point!!! Will definitely make this a regular go to spot when I come out to the beach.

Kinda pricey but worth it!! I've ordered multiple different things and I'm always blown away. Even just a simple red beans and rice is incredible. Crawfish Étouffée with a side of bread is where it's at! More...
Fantastic food, quick to get your food to your table hot and fresh, fairly priced also a few water view tables. We are so glad we found this place and we are definitely going back!
My friends and I went here for the first time for lunch and it was amazing from the roast beef sandwich, the nola buger and one of the fish sandwiches..it was a hit. Easy ordering (at the bar), indoor/outoor self seating..and cant forget their voodoo statue. Also, good portions for the price More...
Amaaaaaazing food. I had the chargrilled burger, my husband had the beef roast debris po boy. I had avacado mayo instead of regular mayo.....IT WAS THE BEST TASTING THING EVER! The service was a bit slow because the lady left and the guy was working all alone, but the food was absolutely worth the wait. Very clean, nice little place. Even has a beachside deck where you can eat and look out on that beautiful beach. Definitely coming back. More...
Good food, good service, great view!

Susan Proctor Schoen
The food is really good. The atmosphere is NOLA on the beach!! Really need to organize the bar tho!! Had to wait long time for drinks because all bartenders taking food orders. Someone should be handling just the bar. More...

So yummy. Worth the money. Great portions and the staff is wonderful.
Food was excellent! We will be back. The omelette was amazing!
Great atmosphere and food tastes authentic NOLA. BBQ shrimp is my favorite.
Shrimp & grits were great for lunch on Sunday. BBQ shrimp we're really good as well, but to critique, they were overcooked causing them them to be difficult to peel. Overall will go back next time in town. More...

Great food every visit! Huge portions! We love it!
Cafe NOLA was very nice and quaint! A very small, intimate place! The food was to die for, authentic NOLA flavor! My husband had the shrimp poboy and it was easily enough food to feed 2-3 people!
Celia Morris Settle
True creole food, not that tourist stuff that you usually get.
Excellent crawfish etouffee and alligator sausage po boy. Also we were caught out in the rain and had our dog with us. Pet friendly covered patio for lunch with your fur baby.
Great brunch spot! Parking tricky on Sunday morning.
AWESOME Shrimp and Grits!
Best on earth
Great small cafe with good pizza.
Loved ever bit of it!! Food was amazing!!!
Very good! We came not expecting much bc it’s very small and seems a lil chaotic and disorganized, but the food made up for everything. Fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly and portions were huge. I got 3 huge fish filets, 2 sides, a house salad, 2 drinks, and a beer for $30. It was easily enough for both me and my husband to eat and be full when we left. Can’t ask for much more. More...
Great Gumbo! The blackened fish plate was fantastic! Great addition to Pensacola Beach!
Good pace. Got the seafood Gumbo.
Can't make it to NOLA...then come here!I got the blackened grouper and it was so juicy and tasty! My friends got some shrimp po'boys and a shrimp burger. They all said their meals were delicious as well.I will definitely be coming back! More...
This is my new favorite when I come to Pensacola Beach! I walked in 15 minutes before closing and the staff did not rush me one bit. They made great recommendations as it was my first visit. The oysters were large and had a great flavor. Again 15 minutes til closing time and both my cup of gumbo and my bowl of red beans & rice were piping hot (I highly recommend both- not too salty or spicy just yummy). This is awesome Cajun food!!!! The service was friendly and welcoming. The vibe was cool and relaxed. And, you simply cannot beat the view of the bay. More...
When I order from somewhere new, sometimes I order twice what I need assuming I will like one thing more than another. I'm glad because the roast beef po boy delivered was a big mess. And not just sloppy, which is standard, but the bread was inedible, like a paper mache blob, total loss. Fortunately the meat was delicious but not a full meal without the bread. I recommend this dish in-house only, so you can gobble it down before the bread is ruined. On the upside the shrimp po boy fared much better in transit and was STUFFED with shrimp. And they remembered the remoulade on the side. The tomatoes made it a little moist so the breading wasn't crispy but overall fine and I couldn't finish it (half). They did deliver all the way up to my hotel room door which is a big bonus. In summary, tasty but be selective when ordering delivery. More...
Very good food and believe me you get your money's worth. To me 1 shrimp basket could feed 2 people. I will be going back.
Great seafood gumbo
Good food and portions are filling
I can not eat many items, but the service was excellent
Tasty po’boys and oysters. The French bread is very authentic and the chargrilled oysters were delicious. I love looking out over the beach. Great casual restaurant

Great food! Debris sandwich as good as, if not better than Traceys in NOLA.
Had lunch there today. Had the blackened shrimp poboy. It was outstanding. The bread was fresh and it was loaded with shrimp. Only got the 1/2 poboy and it was more than enough for lunch. Great deal and quality eat. Cold beer was nice as well. More...

My boyfriend & I had spent a day drinking on the beach & of course afterwards, we wanted seafood. We had an oyster basket, a platter, & 2 bowls of gumbo. Before we got home (30 minute drive) I got a phone call saying “hey we forgot your gumbo”. I told them that I wasn’t able to turn around & they refunded me for it on my card! Tbh, I would have never even noticed it was missing haha! Thank you guys so much for being honest! & the food was super yummy!! More...

Best eats by far in Pensacola
Best Long Island Tea on the Planet
Worth the walk beyond the boardwalk. Great view. Nice seafood
Best Oyster Po-Boy I have ever been served.
Great food and great drinks. Gumbo so good my mom (a Louisiana native) would have been jealous!! Perfect service. A must see when in Pensacola for sure.
Cafe NOLA is a mix between fast food and casual dining. The fast food part being you order at the counter. The staff at the counter the night we were there was very knowledgeable and helpful. The casual is they take if the rest; bring out your food and clear the table when you’re done. The food was amazing! Everything had the right balance of spice and flavor. My Andouille Po’Boy was the perfect balance aid all ingredients. Plus, it wasn’t over dressed with lettuce. The portions are huge! But you’re getting quality food for a great price. More...
The seafood gumbo was very authentic. Cant wait to go back and the views are amazing.
The shrimp was delicious..but kinda pricey
Our service was wonderful , prompt and friendly. The food was generously portioned and very tàsty. My wife's entire family are southern Louisiana natives, so I've been eating 'authentic' New Orleans cuisine for almost forty years. Everything we ate was delicious. Mid July, but the breeze off the water on the back deck was perfect . More...
First visit. Gator sausage PoBoy is really good.
Good Food, fast friendly service. Awesome location! I really like the Nola hurricane. It has its own Special flavor that's better than all the rest.
Service was very personal! My grandchildren wanted the snowball but didn't know what flavor they wanted; they are 11 & 8 yrs. old.The server allowed them to taste different flavors until they chose one!! Very sweet More...

Amazing shrimp poboys at this New Orleans themed restaurant. Sit at the bar and ask for Kevin. He will take good care of you.
Best gumbo and shrimp po boy on the beach! And amazing service from Kevin. This will be our new place from now on.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Food was great & the margaritas were on point. the best!
So good that we ate dinner there for 3 nights in a row! Every single night of our trip! FANTASTIC doesn’t even begin to cover it... The bread is authentic, the shrimp are BIG, and the po-boys are over-stuffed with goodness! You can sit on the deck overlooking the bay while you eat. Great kids meal options as well. Seriously, my New Orleans heart was in heaven! Can’t wait to come back next summer! More...
This is the best place to eat on Pcola beach! Park and set up on the bayside of the beach. Walk down to the blue building facing the Ayer with the big deck on back. The food is authentic NOLA food. The fried shrimp poboy was awesome. The full-size is huge and plenty big for 2 people to split. The half is a huge portion also and I'm a big guy! Wife loved the muffuletta. Very authentic and overlooking the beach. You don't ha e the be dressed up. We came from the water barefoot and dripping and sat on the deck. We will def be back! More...
All I can say is AMAZING! Everything we had was great! Fried green tomatoes, red beans and rice, banana foster cheesecake, BQQ shrimps, Debris fries and boudin.
Good food and atmosphere.
Fun atmosphere and good prices. Service is sometimes slow, but i still love the local vibes.
Quick easy bites and a beer right on the water with great music. Service was good and the oysters were A+ ♥️ ♀️ Order up, take a seat and they’ll bring it to ya. Easy short stop for snacks while shopping orSwimming More...
They were great!!! Delicious food and they were able to work with me and get my food out quick since I was on a tight schedule! Absolutely recommend!
Not suitable for the handicapped unless you want to sit in 95-degree weather outside... no elevator and 18 stairs straight up if you want air-conditioned dining... Saying that, it has to be one of the better restaurants on Pensacola Beach, very casual/beachware dining... nothing to look at but the food was excellent... debris fries, regular fries, onion rings, seafood gumbo, shrimp basket, fish basket, messy crawfish topped burger, hush puppies that was just for today... Not one morsal wasn't delicious... More...
That seafood gumbo was great
Always a pleasure to go. As the name suggests, a ton of New Orleans style food choices. From what I understand, they are New Orleans locals turned beach savants. Great spot on the bay! Justin was absolutely positively the greatest the last time we were there! More...

Such friendly staff and AMAZING FOOD!!! The shrimp po boy was to die for. Will return on our next visit.
Nice please the service is excellent
The Shrimp and Grits are so delicious your tongue will beat your brains out....
We discovered Café NOLA through a Sweet Deal, went twice in one week and will definitely be back for more. First night we had roast beef po-boy dressed all the way and gumbo - both delicious (the bread is So good on the po-boys). Wanted New Orleans oysters, but sadly due to rush of the weekend they were out of oysters. Justin, the assistant manager, went out of his way to make things right and we left happy.Came back 2 days later after confirming they had oysters & they were outstanding! Justin was there again, remembered us and he and the whole staff treated us like royalty - which is the way they treat everyone honestly.Food is great, service is outstanding and sitting on the back deck overlooking the sound is beautiful. We Love this place! More...
My husband and I had dinner there yesterday and IT WAS OUTSTANDING!!! We were welcomed by AJ and served by Justin! Both did an outstanding job! We ordered delicious BBQ Shrimp with fresh bread, Fried Oysters, Fish and Shrimp. Everything was seasoned well and VERY tastey! All of this deliciousness was cooked up by Roberta and Shawn! OMGoodness, this food was out of this world, good!!! I always say "any restaurant on Pensacola Beach is good but, cafe' NOLA is THE BEST!!! More...

The blackened shimp po'boy and onion rings are where it is at!!!!
Great cajun and creole. Love the shrimp poboys. Can eat and look right out at all the park and water activities.
This was a very nice place as well. Very open floor plan. Need more employees tho. That poor bartender... Oh bless him. Hire some wait staff and get some of that work off of him. And he works his butt off to serve his bar clients as well. Wow!! Great food also... A little pricey. More...
Really good food and really large portions.
Great authentic food

New Orlean cuisine, awesome had BBQ shrimp authentic.
Jambalaya is delicious. Will be back.
So good! We've eaten Cajun food quite often since my husband is from New Orleans. This is the best we've found that isn't actually in NOLA. Great find at Pensacola Beach!
Outstanding scene for tasty Creole. Great location to meet with friends. There was fast, efficient, and courteous service. Bring your appetite because portions are filling. Menu is like a place in San Francisco I liked. More...
The food was great, the portions generous. My only complaint was the BBQ shrimp, though huge, were unpeeled, with heads on, in a very messy sauce. I thought they tasted great, once they were cool enough to handle, peel, and eat. But I don't think I will get them again because of the complete mess. There was no clue on the menu that I would need a bath afterwards. Although good, it wasn't what I was expecting. Nothing grilled about these. BBQ? More like an etouffe sauce. Maybe we got the wrong dish served to us.But the few was perfect. More...
Been here several times and have never been disappointed. Sweet potato fries are amazing. Roast beef poboy is authentic. Fried shrimp and fish was awesome too! My sweetheart and I will change our route when we go anywhere nearby so we can eat here. It's totally worth blowing your diet. More...

Great roast beef poboys and love the brunch!
One of the best roast beef poboys that I have ever eaten. The debris fries are excellent. Being from Louisiana I was skeptical about getting real authentic New Orleans food in the Florida panhandle. NOLA Cafe is the real deal. I will be eating here again before heading home. I highly recommend eating here. It's worth at least stars!!! More...

Great environment and the NOLA burger is one of the best I've ever had
The platter for 2 was more like for 5 or 6 it was HUGE. Love the food and the customer service was outstanding!!!
YES! Yes yess. I Defiantly will be back. If you are familiar with Cafe Nola in Slidell LA well the food here is as good. Totally different ambiance. This. Is a beach type atmosphere. You walk in place your order, pay for it and they bring it to you. Great seating outside. It is small and quaint. Prices are more reasonable too. Service was quick too. Good selection of beer. Staff was friendly place is clean. Will defiantly return, I had the chat grilled oysters. They were delicious and a good size too. More...
Had lunch today and enjoyed a full sized shrimp Po boy, which was big enough to share. I am from New Orleans and was pleased with the portion size. Shrimp cooked perfectly! The reason for only 4 stars is due to the French bread, Gambinos I think. The bread was not fully cooked. It needed more baking time, then should have been toasted. I hope the owner and chef take note. More...
crawfish amazing! had a blast!
I loved in New Orleans for 13 years and the biggest thing I miss is the food! All these places that advertise so called "cajun cuisine" are a joke! The exception to this rule IMO, is Cafe NOLA! My wife and I ate there because my daughter recommended it. Man oh man was it good! I had a shrimp po-boy and it was seasoned to perfection along with the fact it was overstuffed with shrimp! I will admit that the prices are a touch high,, but keep in mind you get what you pay for. If you like New Orleans coming, it's not high at all. We're almost didn't go because my wife had 2 strokes in the past and there's no ramp for handicapped people. I had a lot of problems heroin up the stairs with my back and knee being in pretty rough shape and my wife finally made it after 3 attempts. That is this place's only drawback. If you want a treat, eat at Cafe NOLA! More...
Best food on the beach
If you like New Orleans style food, you'll enjoy this place. Great view of the bay on Pensacola Beach.
Really great food in a fun atmosphere.
Great food with an awesome view.

Authentic New Orleans food and beverage. My wife loved the Abita King Cake soda and the portions were very unexpectedly more than you can eat. We enjoyed the great gumbo, crawfish etouffe', larger than usual raw oysters and the muffalata was portioned for 4. Great experience and 2 thumbs up ⚜️ Geaux Saints! More...

The BEST oysters on P'cola Beach...HANDS DOWN!!
Great atmosphere, beautiful views and the best gumbo around.
Always love eating here. Everything is delicious. Today's special green grits for St Patty's day was a nice touch!
Great service. Nice view of the bay. Delicious Cajun food. I highly recommend the NOLA burger. They put a dip on it that has sausage and crawfish. The dip and the chargrilled taste of the burger make it so yummy! More...
I'm from Louisiana and consider myself a true Cajun. This food is amazing and authentic. If you're from New Orleans then you know what a 5 napkin review means for a roast beef poboy and this place has the best 5 napkin sloppy roast beef poboy outside of the real Nola. Gumbo is good too!
The food was pretty good. My boyfriend and I ordered the Debris fries & the fish plate. The fish was well seasoned and fried perfectly. I most definitely recommend this place. More...
This was really really good. We moved here from Louisiana and have been searching for some hint of Louisiana cooking and this place is great! I had the blackened fish and onion rings and sweet potato fries all scrumptious and PLENTY of it!!! My husband had a full size shrimp poboy that was served on Gambinos french bread which is mouthwatering in itself. He was FULL after half in which i ate a few bites too it was even better than my plate. There were not shy on the shrimp and the shrimp were no popcorn sized shrimp. Go!!! Stop reading and head out i cant wait to go back and try the gumbo which is award winning i hear. More...
I had the Geaux geaux oyster poboy, basically a New Orleans Bbq oyster poboy. It was delicious. I got a whole sandwich but a half would have sufficed. Gumbo was authentic. Our whole table was happy. Good music too. More...

Everything we ordered was superb ! Oysters were delicious! We will be back.
First and foremost, this has been the best po boy I’ve had outside of New Orleans. I happened upon this place at their tent during the seafood festival and was shocked at how good it was. Since then we’ve visited their location on Pensacola beach multiple times and every time I’m as impressed as the first. Food is Amazing!! Staff is friendly and helpful!! Literally every time I’ve been here I’ve had a good experience. Please eat here. You won’t regret it! More...
Great first time experience, would definitely go back, great bread puddings
Great food & atmosphere!!
only place in Pcola where shrimp poboy actually has enough shrimp to fall out of the bread (like it's supposed to be)
Great food with a cozy atmosphere.
Food was great, service was quick and the portion! Go for the half po boy if you had breakfast already.

Absolutely the best Cajun food I have had in this town. I don't know why I haven't heard of it before now.
Great food, friendly service, best chicken & dumplings I have ever tasted. First time to try the place, but I will be back!
Johnny and the staff are great and so is the food. Love their gumbo! Great addition to some of our other wonderful restaurants on Pensacola Beach!

Food wasn't too expensive considering it was by the beach. We had the gumbo and the steamed shrimp. The shrimp and the sides were a little spicy. The portion size was pretty big.
Delicious lunch with an amazing view and dog friendly.
This place is legit!! Great service and great food!!! We had the poboy, fried shrimp and banana pudding. It was all SO good and lots of it! We will be back!
Pensacola Beach restaurants are a hit or a miss. We had the Sunday brunch at NOLAs. First they had 2$ Bloody Marys that were quite good. I had crayfish etouffee benedict. Instead for an english muffin, they used a fried green tomato. It was one of my favorite dishes when we visited Florida. I was never a fan of grits but the grits served here has made me a fan. NOLA is a hit. More...
Great food! Great location!
Very disappointed in the food and prices.
This is by far the best restaurant in Pensacola Beach! I can’t say enough about the oysters, gumbo, Gambino bread and debris fries. I mean wow - just the absolute best! If you love Nola, don’t miss out. The other restaurants on the beach are sooo overrated and overpriced but this place is the best kept secret :) More...
We were in town visiting and ordered to-go food from here: it was DELICIOUS! Prime Rib Po'boy, Surf & Turf Po'boy, kids chicken tenders and debris fries...holy yummy debris fries. I had never heard of such a thing but I am so glad we tried them. Great food, made quick. Highly recommend! More...
I can't believe we did not about this place before now. I have been craving seafood gumbo, to the point I was going to have my daughter bring me some back from New Orleans this weekend. Well, no need now! Cafe NOLA has just what I was looking for. The boudin is also delicious! Even if you don't frequent the beach, it's worth the drive. We will definitely be back! More...

This place is has such great food and an awesome view. I got the muffuletta sandwich for $11 and I could seriously eat it for three days.. the debris fries had gravy and roast beef with Gouda cheese on top. My parents ordered two poboys with grilled shrimp and it was so flavorful and amazing! They took the entire other Poboy home because they were so huge! We didn't eat brunch but the mimosas and bloody Mary's were $2 and they were using Absolut Vodka-wow! I'll be back very soon! More...

Great food and drinks and service
This place was great! Huge, meaty shrimp poboy. Wife got the gumbo and it was amazing. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the time it took to get our food - but the beach view during the wait was awesome.

OH MY GOODNESS! Y'all have to go to Pensacola Beach and try the food at this restaurant. I enjoyed the Fried Green Tomatoes, Fried Shrimp, and French Fries, and let me tell you MY FOOD WAS AMAZING!! . The waitstaff was down to earth and attentive. I love New Orleans cuisine and when I go back to Pensacola Beach, I hope I can return for more great food at Cafe Nola. Wish this restaurant was located in Atlanta. More...
