Although I saw that the previous reviews were not all outstanding, my mom wanted to eat Filipino food so I checked them out anyway. First and foremost, I'm not sure if she was the owner but the lady who served us was so sweet!!!! She was so welcoming and the atmosphere was so comfortable. The food was awesome too!!!! I ordered BOPIS and although the pieces were not the small minced kind, she brought a new twist with bigger pieces. Her lechon kawali was great and the rest of the foods my family ordered kept them smiling and full all day. As far as the restroom, being Filipino, she also has a Tabo (wash cup) in the restroom!!! Can it get any better More...

Upon entrance the setting is very charming, not very intimate seating, if that's what you're looking for. Appears very clean and smells like I'm a lot hungrier than I thought. As a newbie to Filipino food the menu was initially a little off putting but they offer less diverse dishes as well. I went out on a limb to try a beef specialty plant called "Biske Tagalog" (image included) and a egg noodle soup Chicken Mami. The presentation met expectation and flavor over exceeded. Note: don't come here for dinner if you don't like onion. I am glad I chose to try something new and Chose Cafè de Manila. More...

We went yesterday for lunch as we are driving our way back to Washington and have to stop to find something to eat and I decided I want filipino food. .this is the first place show up when I search so I called first to check how busy they are.. and I was told not really but I was told that it’s better to place your order early as it need to be cook and made our wait faster. Which I like because they were straight to tell us that the waiting time is little longer which we all understand! I orde sinigang, Pork sisig, Kare-kare, ginitaang gulay and krispi pata... Everything was really good... and I am still amaze Because the serving size is bigger than what we expected for its price. We are all happy and definitely coming back when we get a chance to Visit Reno again! More...

Visited this restaurant with a group of Filipino friends and had a blast!  This is the best case scenario for a "newbie" to this restaurant and the food that they serve. My friends did all of the ordering and the food was unique, authentic, Filipino style.  Maybe not appealing to most who have not been exposed to this type of food, but totally Filipino and delicious to this Asian palate.I had the peanut butter stew that was super yummy.  Had some fried chicken, pancit, egg rolls.  All very good, Filipino style.  No "watered down" Americanized food here. There was also a great band for dancing on Saturday.  We danced until the band left.  I think the band is there either every other Saturday or once a month.  Anyways, we plan on going back next Saturday for more. The restaurant was packed all night, so best time to go is early to get a table.Located off of Kietzke.  Lots of parking.  Too much fun! Best Filipino food in Reno!! Kare Kare- This is a peanut butter beef stew and it's a very unique filipino dish. We've ordered this probably 3 times, and 2/3 times, its perfect! The peanut butter and thickness have been on point, the flavor is there. There's a good amount of both meat and veggies. Lechon- fried pork, you can never go wrong with fried pork. So greasy but soooooo delicious especially of rice. Taro leaves w/ Coconut- This does have a hint of a fishy/shrimpy taste. But I love creamy coconut flavored anything. Not a lot of filipino restaurants serve this, so it feels like eating at "home" ordering this. They give a lot of taro leaves.Mango w/ Bagoong- This is a small snack and its not worth it's price, but I order it for some reason. Bagoong is shrimp paste and if you look closely you can see a million baby shrimps. Sinagang- Sour tamarind soup. Very traditional, but it does have a packaged taste with a heavy hand of fish sauce. But when you add it on top of rice, its perfect. Also, I was a bit surprised when I saw okra. It was a nice touch.Halo Halo- filipino ice cream/parfait. yummy way to finish your meal. More...

And The ladies room needs some TLC. Because it was comfortable it wasn't bad sitting there so long waiting for the different plates. I may go there again sometime, when I have the time. More...

The owner/Tita was really welcoming and friendly and very funny. The food was worth the wait and this restaurant is for sure a hidden gem in Reno. We stayed in GSR so it was only a 6 minute drive so it's very convenient. And they serve breakfast all day!! Simply put, come here to have a good home cook meal and I would come back next time. I was introduced to this place just recently and I'm so happy I found great Filipino food that reminds me of my childhood. We get the Sinigang every single time. My other favorites are the Pork Sisig, Lechon Kawali, Crispy Pata and of course the Tapsilog. They serve generous portions that leave you full. My family would throw parties and meetings here, as they have private areas for groups of people. It is located in midtown, off of the freeway. The location is nice and the environment is calming. The food does take a while to arrive, but that only shows how fresh and authentic the dishes are. There's a wide variety of Filipino food, with some being American dishes. My fiancé never ate rice before he met me, but now he would insist for us to come here for dinner. He loves it so much, especially the spareribs and beef steak. As for me, I love the egg rolls, fried tilapia, and halo halo. This is definitely a must try, and will be the closest to homemade Filipino food you will have in Reno! More...

I only spotted two Filipino restaurants on Yelp and the other was closing soon so we decided to take out here. The food was ok, not great but not bad either. Kare-kare had good flavored sauce but no oxtail and too much tripe. Pancit canton was plentiful and the lumpia's we're satisfying. It is family owned and the ambiance is reminiscent of traditional Filipino cultured restaurants. Good history provided on the menu and staff was friendly and welcoming. The setting is very interesting and reminded me of a Mexican restaurant: bar area, music, and ambiance. However, the food really does justice and there were plenty to choose from. The price is reasonable for what I paid.  My only suggestion for improvement is that put more lights in the  stage area so that  when there's a program for the event/party it will not be dark to see what's going on in stage area.  Above all the service is good and the owners are friendly and easy to talk to.  We will recommend this place to our friends and will still come back for future events/party. Don't let the exterior fool you. The inside of the restaurant is that of an old Mexican restaurant. It's very open spacious yet has a homey feel to it. The waitress was prompt and the wait time for food wasn't long at all. The two items we ordered were Pork Sisigand Ginataang Gulay with two orders of the garlic rice. The pork sisig came out on a sizzling skillet and the aroma was amazing. I'm a texture kind of guy and the pork with the crunch of the diced onions were very satisfying. The ginataang gulay was mixed vegetables (eggplant, bitter melon, onions, green beans, okra, etc) with pork simmered in coconut milk and shrimp paste. That too was delicious. The owner (I assumed) was very nice the last time I visited and today as she was leaving recognized me and thanked me for coming again. She's a sweet lady. All in all pleasant atmosphere, good service and delicious filipino food. Definitely coming back real soon. More...
