Great staff amazing beer selection and that’s just the everyday. You can find yourself having a great meal from one of the various food trucks posted up most days. Have a taste for Sangria why not one of their house white or red sangrias. Most weekends you can find a live acoustic artist jamming in their amazing court yard. Excellent craft beer selection across a wide range of styles. But to contrast it with another craft beer bar a very short distance away, it's beer selection is significantly smaller, particularly in styles I am most interested in, including Belgian gueuze, Flemish red/browns, farmhouse/saisons, American wild ales. Neither 1949 nor the other bar have a particularly good selection of browns/porters/stouts, which I find odd since they are so abundant. But Angry Chair is a very short drive away and they have some of the best dark beers in the state. Also, 1949 doesn't serve hot food and the other place does, namely, large pretzels. The outside seating area is nicer here than in the other place. Servers are very friendly and helpful. The place is clean and well-maintained. Will not hesitate to go back. More...

I went right after work on a Friday and it was pretty quiet at first. The place is small inside, but there's a nice little outdoor area you could post up at with tables and seating. .. I even got to hear some live music out there! Not sure if that happens regularly but it happened tonight. Live music always bring a unique quality to any hang out space. Having them there made the outdoor area feel more like part of the bar and not just some dead space outside. I like the style and the overall look and feel of the place and I wouldn't mind coming again some other time. The inside is a bit small with the primary inside seating being the chairs surrounding the bar with a few tables away from the bar. There was a delicious Mexican food truck that sold food right in front of the outside patio seating for the bar. The food is allowed inside the bar as well. They have a huge selection of ice cold craft beer on tap. Some are rotating (so enjoy 'em while they last). Others are staples (my fave being "Space Grass" by Angry Chair brewing). You'll enjoy awesome service...if Matt (aka Mateo) is your bartender. Friendly and engaging with "all" customers. Highly skilled at suggesting options based on "your" palette. Love the selection of beer but I could not sit outside because of the mosquitoes! I had 10 bites on my arms and another 5 on my feet. I abandoned the guitar player (that was awesome btw) for sanctuary. Maybe get some plants that naturally repel mosquitoes or some tiki torches? Or bring bug repellent More...
