TL;DR | The leek byrek and the freshly-squeezed orange juice are my absolute favorite food/drink combination in the city.
The long story:
Moving from Cap Hill to Lake City was a tough decision for me. On the one hand, moving meant I'd get to live with my boyfriend in a cool house with a sweet cat. on the other hand, I'd be so much farther away from my beloved Byrek & Baguette. I ended up moving, but was it the right decision? My heart says yes. My tummy has mixed feelings. Luckily I still make it over to cap hill enough to enjoy my favorite, the leek baguette! That, paired with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice is my happy place.

My fiance and I visited the location on 12th St in Seattle and absolutely loved it. I got the chicken pesto baguette and it was delicious. She got the apple, walnut, caramel byrek which was more like a dessert but also delicious. The cucumber water was different and refreshing. More...

Authentic Balkan traditional handmade goodness. These pastries filled with choice of beef, feta cheese, potatoes, spinach, leeks or sweet fruit are amazing. We kept coming back over the 3 days we were visiting Bellevue and tried the feta cheese, leek, potato, spinach and beef pastries. The owner is friendly, cheerful and works so hard.
