If I was just rating the work they did, no question it would have been 5 stars! I love my new kitchen! The new design is fantastic and I love love love my new cabinets. I can't give that 5th star because the scheduling left a bit to be desired. Several days I stayed home because someone was supposed to show up and no one did. Their final trip out to finish was an unannounced arrival at 8 am. It took a little longer than originally predicted to complete the job as they tore my kitchen apart on April 30 and the final job was completed on June 10. Would I recommend this company? Absolutely! I love my new dream kitchen and I can’t say enough good things about Buy Direct. Alex and Gilbert Martinez are the owners of the company. I went to the Home and Garden show at Cal Expo specifically to interview contractors. BD stood out above all the others. It was there I met Gilbert who patiently listened to my kitchen remodel ideas and explained that the goal of BD is to give the customer what she/he wants. Alex came to my house to provide a free estimate and discuss design and materials. I learned more about the company. I loved the fact that BD does not use subcontractors and that they honor their project deadlines. BD does all its own stone cutting, cabinet making, plumbing and electrical. Alex emphasized how important it is to make the customer happy.My project involved all new granite kitchen countertops, a new copper sink, rework of the cooking island with a new cooktop and downdraft and installation of a new trash compactor, plus the construction of a built-in wine rack. The time estimate for completion of the project was no more than two weeks. The project was completed in seven workdays with workers returning a few times to focus on making things perfect. The work crews were skilled, professional, tidy, polite and everyone had a strong, positive work ethic. It was clear that Alex and Gilbert train their employees to do quality work and to please the customer. I appreciate the fact that Alex came to my home three times and Gilbert came twice. They came to see if I had concerns or questions and to support their staff.Bravo to Mark, Freddy, Elias, Cesar, Lalo and Juan. Great work guys! Special thanks to stone cutter Mark, who worked really hard with me at the shop to make cuts in the granite that would be pleasing to me and offer the best advantage of displaying the beauty of the stone. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of the work, the people, the attitude and the service from BD. Alex told me that they go the extra mile and that is positively true! So I had some cabinets I was going with, but they fell through only 3 weeks before install date. I stepped into Buy Direct's showroom without an appointment and told Andrew what was going on. Not only did he get my cabinets built within a week, but the installers met my deadline. The cabinets are custom made (so much nicer than the ones that fell through) and are really beautiful in my new kitchen. There was a small problem during install, and they handled it perfectly! I had a great experience with Buy Direct. They did a wonderful job with my kitchen and bathroom countertops. The customer service I received from Gilbert was awesome. He was very patient as I took forever to pick the quartz countertop material. He was always available to answer questions . Mark and team did a great job with the install. Buy direct cabinets did an awesome job on our kitchen. Christine, Gilbert, Mark, Juan, Elton and all those at the shop went above and beyond what was asked by us. All details were addressed and our small hiccups were completed quickly and to our satisfaction. We would and will highly recommend this family company to anyone needing remodeling done. They do not use '3rd party' work or subcontract any work out which was a huge plus to us. They're price for us was within our budget which makes this all the better. More...

Although we did not render any services here, I appreciate the honesty shown to us up front. The man said that if we were looking to compare prices, BD is 20-30% more expensive than IKEA since they use no particle wood.

I had a great time working with Buy Direct. Â From the first contact when Alex came to my home to measure and work up a free estimate, to the last payment, every person has been professional and knowledgeable. I needed new cabinetry in two bathrooms and kitchen. Â I was looking for contemporary, modern styling. Â I wanted quartz counters. Â And I was disappointed that most shops in Sacramento don't offer this. Â Most cabinetry shops import from out of state or country and merely assemble. Â Big Box suppliers play price games and force you through separate negotiations for product, then demolition, then installation, etc. etc.Buy Direct offers a complete range of counter materials, cabinetry styles and hardware. Â And they manufacture here in Sacramento. Â I enjoyed a guided tour of their factory. Â That means when I need extra height in the toe-kick to match the thicker flooring I'm using, they give me what I need. Â If you've got odd shaped corners and you want custom work, you get it. Â At a great price.Buy Direct handled demolition, cabinetry and counter installation and all plumbing. Â My one contact, Cesar, was always available, had the answers or information I needed, and was always where and when he said he was going to be. Â Plus, I valued his advice on other aspects of my remodeling project, his experience and contacts.Final payment was simply the balance of the original estimate. We just had all new kitchen cabinets designed and installed by Buy Direct Cabinets and Furniture.  Alex and his staff were very accomodating to our schedule and great to work with. .  We had checked around for quotes from other companies and contractors.  We received a much better quality product and price from them.  They have their own local factory where  everything is made in the USA with quality products.
