Nicole is a literal life-saver. Our dog, Hazel, was a reactive Shepherd Mix and had a bite history with both other dogs and humans. We were at our wit’s end and brought her to Bucks as a last resort. Our 2 year old lab was in the care of the Buck’s team in Mullica Hill for the week of Thanksgiving to be trained and boarded, as we timed the training with a trip away. Our dog is heavily triggered by movement near our fence, especially our neighbor's dog who barks and jumps at the fence. He was sent to Buck’s specifically for fence safety, desensitizing him to the fence and proper obedience, as he had jumped over our fence twice. The team at Buck’s knew all of this and was additionally sent videos for use in the training plan.



On his 3rd day at the facility, Tuesday, our dog escaped from their facility through a publicly acknowledged (posted on their Facebook page) 5 1/2 inch gap in their fence.



To note: our dog was captured/trapped the morning of his 5th day out and promptly returned safely to us.



We have been fully refunded from the facility; however we have had to pay vet bills to get our dog a health check, had a shortened and sad vacation and are dealing with the ongoing emotional trauma of trusting our dogs with other people/sitters/trainers that we will carry with us. We sincerely hope that since this incident they have closed the gap in the fence to prevent this from happening to another family and that they use what they learned capturing our dog for a playbook in case this happens again. We were told this had not happened before and we certainly hope it does not happen again.



We felt like the team at Buck’s was largely unprepared for catching a loose and anxious dog in their rural location. They continued to have other dogs at the facility and post on their Facebook page about other dog training happening.

When we adopted our Sakari, we had no idea what we were in for lol. I was having a hard time training her on my own, and I admit, I have no clue what I was doing. But Ray was absolutely AMAZING! whatever magic he worked, I need some of that!! She has always been a sweet dog when we rescued her, but her temperament has calmed even more AND she listens more. She used to be very afraid of men, even though now she is skittish around them, she gives them a chance which is huge deal! A lot of the little things she has learned has made a huge positive impact in our lives and I am so forever thankful! We had both of our dogs at bucks for board and train. ray and nicole helped so much, not only with the dogs but with our nervousness as well and a bunch of daily random questions! we got videos and daily updates as well. i can not recommend bucks dog training enough. even of you have the slightest thought of hiring a dog trainer give them a call! our dogs had many fights…bloody fights…and now they are learning to live together. worth every single penny More...

Fantastic trainers. Our 5 year old Shiba Inu was showing some aggression towards unfamiliar people and dogs. We signed him up for the 3 week board and train with the owner Nicole. In one day he was out of the muzzle around strangers and shortly after walking off leash. After that, she had him in public stores and taking him out to restaurants. They were very active with posting and sending us updates daily so we could see his progress. Nicole was able to get through to our dog so well, he only ended up needing to be there for 2 of the 3 weeks. Now we have already successfully walked him around stores with strangers, and have him walking off leash with us outside. This is something we never thought would be possible. Highly recommended! My dog, Sherman, is a great dog, but because he was a big dog with lots of energy, he was like a bull in a China shop. We weren’t able to enjoy him as much because he was too much sometimes. I highly recommend Buck’s Dog Training. We adopted a large breed puppy and when he was 7 months decided it would be a good idea to seek proper training for our puppy Tripp. Not only were we looking to have him trained properly in his commands, but we also wanted to be trained in the proper way maintain his newly learns commands. Buck’s did not disappoint. Deja was our trainer and she did a wonderful job. She was calm, soft spoken, patient and very knowledgeable in training methods. My husband and I sat and watched in amazement as she worked with Tripp. Wow! In no time at all she had Tripp easily following her every command and had us follow her lead in working with him on our own. It was truly fascinating to watch. We are now 4 months out of our training and are very pleased to say that Tripp is doing awesome. He is such a great dog and very well behaved. Cannot recommend Buck’s Dog Training enough!! Just do it. We rescued our dog, Bardi, a year ago and we were having trouble with her recall and manners. It got to a point where we were terrified she was going to get hit by a car because she wouldn’t come back to us. Our trainer, Edward, changed all of that. We did a 2 week board and train with Ed and it was worth every penny!! He sent us daily updates via text message so we could see her progress every day. When we got Bardi back she was a completely different dog. She now walks so nicely on the leash, comes when called, and is overall a more confident and well-mannered dog. We had Deja train our Doberman and she did a wonderful job. Since he’s been him he is wonderful at heeling, not counter surfing and his anxiety levels have been so much better. We cannot thank Edward of Bucks Dog Training enough for the incredible job he did with our 4 year old rescue, Tuco. Tuco was extremely afraid of loud construction noises, was a leash puller and had a terrible habit of jumping on people to say hello. Tuco spent two weeks with Ed and now his (and our lives) have changed forever. We now take him with us everywhere. Tuco can run freely on the beach and play with other dogs, we can have friends and family over without separating him and we can take a walk down the street without fearing that he will "bolt" if he hears a loud noise. We were reluctant to be separated from him for 2 weeks but the time went fast and Ed sent daily updates and videos. We board and trained our dog ACE with Nicole, for a week. ACE had a few issues leash walking, not fully obeying commands. Edward and Buck’s Dog Training are without question the best dog trainer’s in the world. I had lost complete hope that my puppy Pierre would curb his horrible habits, including biting me and everything around him, but with Edward's professional training over a two week board and train, his genuine care and positive reinforcement techniques, he trained Pierre to become the dog of my dreams. I am about as obsessively discerning a dog mum as they come.  With good reason - there are countless people portraying themselves as well-trained dog trainers and yet they have no experience beyond watching a few YouTube videos.  I interviewed 4 in the general Philadelphia/ Wilmington area and within seconds of the phone calls, I could feel the lack of human comprehension for the needs of both a dog and their owner.  Nicole is someone who embodies a calm, clear, humane and accurate system of communicating with both animal and human.  She's taken an extremely exuberant strong puppy and given him such joy, as a thinking dog, plus a rather insecure doodle and given him confidence in his wonderful dog life.  Couldn't recommend her and her team more- ( May regret this ...was tempted to keep Buck's a bit of a secret but I wish I had known about Nicole long ago!) To be clear- we are a family of many members, fur, and other.  The prospect of entrusting any such family to someone in the field of training, caring for, and guidance, is taken with the weight on par of that seeking a pediatrician or school.  Granted we spoke and met with multiple people in the vicinity.  One, who's business offered reviews all of a similar ilk, gave every indication she was not the trainer we would want nor any animal lover. Nicole has a calm, clear, gentle and intelligent manner.  We have worked with her one-on-one, sent some of our boys to do her boot camp, she's come to our home to walk, play and provide refreshers, consulted at the drop of a hat...been the most reliable, trustworthy and most importantly, compassionate and gentle person out there.  Trust a family who take their beloveds with a sincerity and devotion words can't explain- you won't easily find a person like Nicole ...ps, our 5 pups would be pleased to support this review More...

I was told by several people that my dog was a "lost cause". He would get aggressive and snap at people just for attempting to put a collar on him. He was diagnosed with Parvo at a very young age and it messed with his head. He was extremely loving and caring as long as you didn't take him near a vet or a groomer. Which was obviously very problematic. Then he had a few small issues where he had small bites on people in unfortunate situations. But after doing 4 weeks with Nicole and her Advanced Board and Train program, hes a completely different dog now. A complete stranger can put a muzzle on him without even a tiny growl. He follows all commands like sit, wait, paw, place, and more! I've never seen a dog have such an incredible turn around before. One of the biggest concerns was his being around children and hes extremely good with them, to the point where he doesnt even need to be muzzled around them anymore. I'd give them zero stars honestly. There is absolutely nothing holistic in their approach towards dog training. Nothing!  They make promises they can't keep, they are only after the money. After you take your dog home and realize you don't see the results expected .... they will blame it on you or the fact that you have a weak personality for your dog.  Nicole told me that my dogs personality is just too strong and I'm weak. They sicken me with the way they train dogs. They practically fry the crap out of them, instill fear instead of respect and send you home with a remote expecting you to fry the dog every time. My poor dog had wounds around his neck. We wasted 2000$ + between training and travel. We took the dog back and same issues continued. A service dog cannot be trained in a few weeks. I'm sorry, but NO!!  My previous service dog went through years of training and I never had an issue. It takes about 2 years for a service dog to be fully ready. After wasting money with Nicole which not only has a poor attitude, but is a crappy trainer, I hired a different trainer. Not only did he make me throw away the shock collar, but it is amazing to see how much progress my dog has made in 3 months of consistent, humane training. My trainer is so involved. He goes with us everywhere and works with us constantly. At 1/4 of the price. I would never recommend this place to anyone ever. Save your dog and your money. More...

All the dogs in there videos are shut down and terrified of the “ trainers “ , watch them choke a poor German Shepherd because it was to scared to got on a cart , yank a prong collar so hard it cried because it didn’t understand what the trainer asked of it . These people charge crazy amounts to train your dog to be a service dog when it’s clear they have no clue what they are doing . Nicole is AWESOME! She has trained our Husky Maya since we brought her home 2 yrs ago and Maya absolutely loves Nicole and her dog, Nyla, they are besties. Nicole trained Maya and my 9 yr old Yorker, Luca, in a way I never thought was possible. We go away and leave Maya to stay with Nicole for days at a time and trust her 100%. She sends random videos of what she is doing with Maya and you can clearly see the love that Nicole has for our dog and all dogs!
