What makes a great website?
One that satisfies you! (And one that works.) It goes without saying that it must have an eye-catching design and be mobile friendly.
If ecommerce, it should be easy to find the products a shopper wants, and simple to edit the items on your own.
If custom administration, should be intuitive to use, show summaries and reminders on the dashboard, and use the latest technology (we use DevExpress, .Net and SQL Server) to provide the smoothest user experience.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
We have a questionnaire we send out that ask questions such as what style are you looking for - feminine, masculine, artsy, professional, etc. to get a feel for your needs. We'll ask which other websites you like and why.
What do you love most about your job?
The challenge of meeting the needs of my clients, whether through custom programming or getting the design exactly right. Both require thinking out of the box, and a heavy dose a creativity!
What inspired you to start your own business?
1996 was a hard year for programmers, but I refused to let my dream disintegrate. I began freelancing, and it quickly blossomed as I hired one programmer after another. At first, I outsourced the design, but at this point, I have two very talented in-house designers.
