This is a great and quaint place nestled in an opportunity zone in DTLA (downtown Los Angeles) so you'd have to know where you're going to find it. The hostesses and servers are very friendly, accommodating, and willing and ready to help. They have a great wine list to choose from and my favorite is the pessimist (which you can also find a Trader Joe's). The food is very enjoyable and the sizing portions are on par with what you expect from a bistro take on Italian. The food is very delicious though so be careful what you just might get cooked on to what you eat. This is great for dinner with friends, dining with your significant other, or a low-key date spot. Either way you will not be disappointed with Brero! I will definitely be back here!#EatHereOrNot#EATHERE More...

Can't believe I hadn't been here till last week. Parking: street parking if you're lucky, otherwise valet is $9 for dinner. I think it's cheaper for lunch.Food:Prosciutto was amaze. There was some kind of light fried bread with prosciutto on top, with some of the softest burrata on top... mmmm this was SO good. It's a huge portion (I was expecting probably half the size, since it was an appetizer), and I thought we'd only eat half of it... but we ate the whole damn thing.Mandilli de seta - this was good, and I can see why everyone raved about it since it was very unique - but I didn't think it was that amazing! Probably because it was a very simple dish - it was really just a flat sheet of pasta with a pesto cream sauce. They also automatically split it into 2 dishes so we could share, so that was nice (but not nice if you didn't want to share haha).Maniche - this was my favorite dish of the night, the sauce was a tomato based, slightly spicy sauce with clams and calamari with this large tube pasta that was perfectly al dente. Loved it!Capesante (scallops) - very well cooked, and it's hard for me to dislike large seared scallops, so this is a solid choicePanna cotta - good, but didn't really stand out as anything amazing. This is a solid restaurant, would recommend! Went for the first time for my friend's birthday dinner on Monday night. The ambiance is very nice. Upscale rustic interior with leather chairs and I especially loved the window to the kitchen. Service was good, the staff is cool like how hipsters are in LA & our waiter Jesus answered ALL our questions so carefully and kindly. They change the menu daily he says so its important to read thoroughly. Overall the experience was nice. A good place to celebrate someone special. The food was good but not amazing. We kept wanting to eat at Bestia  I tried the gnocchi and the Milanese risotto. Having the two creamiest dishes was probably my poor choice for decision making. The Cesare salad was actually sooo good! The flash charred romaine with the shaved parmesan and the dressing was on point. I loved that we had to cut the leaves ourselves and every bite was crunchy and scrumptious. The gnocchi was good for the first couple bites, very pillowy and perfect in size. But it just needed something else to balance the starch and cream. I took it home and ate it for breakfast though and it was still good! The Milanese risotto was good with the bone marrow (drool) but lacked some additional flavor. Perhaps a sprig of broccolini would have done the trick. Unfortunately I couldn't finish the dish even though I should have for the price. They gave us complimentary biscotti that was pretty cute and good. I loved them!! This restaurant is very nice, tucked away in a street of warehouses and the experiential aspect made me give it a high rating. For Northern Italian cuisine it was mediocre. I would probably come back to try some different dishes and get that Cesare salad too!Valet is $9 :/ try to park in the dark alleyways if you dare More...

Food was amazing. Great wine selection & innovative cocktail lists. Service was a bit slow due to our server having like 7 or 8 tables so ordering and paying were lengthy processes. The server was very personable & knowledgeable of menu. We will dine there again very soon! More...

Great food with middling service. The woman serving spilled red wine on the table when pouring and when asked for a napkin, shortly replied, “I’ve got it” and walked away. She came back and wiped it bruskly without a word - no apologies - and walked away again. There was zero hospitality or welcoming attentiveness in her attitude. The waiter serving us however was nice enough, making up for her sour attitude. The food was very good. More...

Everything about our lunch experience at The Factory Kitchen was simply amazing. We worked up quite an appetite after strolling around the Arts district so Italian was pulling at our heartstrings. All three dishes we ordered were special in their own way, and I left the restaurant feeling like it was one of the best meals I've had in 2019. Here's what we ordered:Prosciutto - Wow...just wow! This is a must if you are stopping in for a meal. I absolutely love burrata so the soft stringy stracciatella cheese was amazing. We saw the carving station by the kitchen where we were sitting and could see them generously shaving the prosciutto onto the dish. The meat, cheese, and arugula all rested on a warm pillowy dough which was perfectly fried. The pasta here was great but I was VERY impressed with this dish. Mandilli di Seta - After seeing the photos of this dish we just had to try it. They separated the pasta into two servings for us which was very appreciated. The pesto sauce was packed with flavor but wasn't overly oily or saucy. Simple and very delicious!Pappardelle - We ordered this dish because we were in the mood for some wide noodles and were a bit surprised by how thin the noodles turned out to be, but it was still a very yummy dish. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the duck melted in your mouth. The pappardelle pasta soaked up the sauce with ease and was a perfect vehicle for the delicious dish.We were celebrating a belated anniversary and the staff brought out a delicious panna cotta to round out the meal. I highly recommend The Factory Kitchen for anyone looking for any celebration or a nice treat. So glad we had a meal here and ended the year out with such a treat! More...

Truly I am not a pasta person, but this place was DELICIOUS. Seriously tho, everything from the ambiance and lighting to the service and the amazing food was delicious and impressive. My favorite dishes of the night: the gnocchi malfatti and the mandilli di seta. The subtle almond taste of the light handkerchief pasta was well worth the order.I also loved the persico and the casonzei. Oh and the prosciutto as an appetizer is a 10/10. skip: the potatoes on the side, not really special. the charred brussels sprouts were also okay. Perfect place for date night! More...

The first time I wwent here, it was a long time ago for an anniversary dinner. The Factory Kitchen is much smaller than I expected, but it was a perfect choice. We felt quite special;  my boyfriend at the time told them it was our anniversary, and they gave us a little dessert with a personal message written on the plate (I think it was chocolate syrup of some kind!). Typical to myself, I teared up a little and even now when I think about it, it feels very bittersweet. Little touches are what make people go back to restaurants. As you can see from the reviews, this is a dependable restaurant for a good celebratory meal -- there's a reason why it's one of the popular stand-bys for excellent Italian food in Los Angeles.Of course, the food is great. I'm a big fan of Oficine Brera and Factory Kitchen showcases a similar attention to quality, with a focus on pasta. I know everybody tends to order the handkerchief pasta, and it's definitely a treat to look at (so bright! so green!) but I like the stick-to-your-ribs dishes, like the gnocchi, & the truffle dishes are delicious too. This place is great for date night, as I've learned on subsequent visits, with a varied menu & good atmosphere. Definitely worth going to over and over again, or at least trying the once. More...

This place is amazing!! Came here with coworkers to close out the end of the year and it was excellent!! The gnocchi was amazing and my coworkers fmgot the handkerchief pasta which they said was excellent. Make sure to get the prosciutto starter and the barberosse starter for sure. Literally could have had two each for my entree but we shared them amongst 5 people. The bignes are a must for dessert! Overall I was stuffed in a good way. Only taking off one star because the hostess was a bit off. We had reservations but she couldn't find out name, however there were only two tables seated in the whole place....so we asked if we could just get seated in any of the empty tables. She was hesitant but then said sure, haha. More...

The food is exceptional for pasta lovers. Great presentation. No gluten free pasta dishes though. I got a pasta with duck and it tasted terrific! The drinks are unique and expensive even during lunch hour. They put a ton of ice in each mixed drink, which really makes it a flavored ice drink in my opinion. I would order from their wine list instead. More...

I went for a holiday work event and it was great because I got to try almost everything.  This place is great for big groups, and it's bustling due to the popularity. We went on a Tuesday at noon and it was so noisy, that you can barely hear the person directly next to you.  Nonetheless, the service is great and so is the food.I recently went to Italy, so I was more picky about my food. Each dish has a lot of flavor, whereas Italian food in Italy have a lighter taste in their sauces.  Regardless, this place is very delicious and tasty.
