I did "boot camp" exercise classes for years at another gym, and I loved the variety in the workout programming. However, while those classes kept me in pretty good shape, I never really could see any progress in my strength and fitness. Since joining Brandt CrossFit, I have been able to experience an even greater variety of workouts than in boot camp, and the benchmark workouts and weightlifting regimen allow me to track the development and progress of my fitness goals. I am significantly stronger, healthier, and more functionally fit since I joined Brandt CrossFit two years ago. It's one of the best investments I've made in my personal well-being. In addition to the physical benefits, training here makes me a happier, less-stressed person - more so than any other fitness training I've done. All of this is great, but what really has me coming back is the culture/personality of the gym. Kyle, the owner, is genuinely one of THE nicest guys I have ever known - and not in a cheesy, Stuart Smalley kind of way. At this gym, everyone is friendly. Your interaction with other members isn't limited to awkward glances at the person on the treadmill next to you or asking, "You done with the bench, bro?" like at your neighborhood globo-gym. Everyone encourages and motivates each other without the demeaning drill sergeant attitudes you may find at a few CrossFit gyms.I could go on and on about why I love this place and why it would be a great fit for almost anyone who wants to be fit, no matter where they're starting from, but at some point you just need to work up the gumption to come try it out for yourself and make an investment in your own well-being. I've been doing CrossFit at Brandt for about a year and a half now and it's been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I've accomplished things that I never thought I would be able to do and become much stronger and a more well-rounded athlete! The staff at Brandt excel in being able to work with people at all fitness levels so there is never an intimidation factor of not being able to do something or feeling left out in some way. I come from a running background and never really worked out with weights or in a group setting.I always thought that I preferred working out by myself. Now, I am hooked on the community aspect of Brandt. Everyone from the trainers to the other clients are extremely friendly and encouraging. They have pushed me to accomplish goals I didn't even know I had and have led me to continually strive to reach new goals. Brandt is a great gym for athletes of all ages and ability levels - I cannot recommend it more! More...

When I first started Crossfit two years ago I was 64 and could not even pull up on the rings one time. Kyle was patient and never embarassed me or made me feel weak but I was. I have stayed with him as a personal trainer now for over two years and I now can do as many as 50 rings plus I can deadlift 115 pounds and I had a military press of 55 pounds so it was worth staying with it. I no longer take blood pressure medicine and us that money to offset my training. I am now 66 and possibly one of the oldest members but I love it! It will keep me young!!! More...
