I have worked with Brad for over 3 years now. He is very compassionate and understanding. He really helped me with some personal matters and anxiety that I was having. Additionally he was able to help me with my short fuse and anger issues. He is very easy to talk to. You don't feel like you're talking with a therapist, but instead someone who cares deeply about your well being. He truly cares about all his patients and that comes out clearly in his work.I would strongly recommend Brad to anyone! More...

Brad is the person at my clinic we most often refer to for his experience in working with very difficult adolescents. He is not only very well trained in working with teenagers and anger, he is also a very positive, easy to work with person that teenagers and parents feel like they can relate to. He has been working in the Bay Area for several years now and now that he's opened his own office in San Francisco, there's finally a person that is easy to refer to. I recommend Brad very highly. A friend of mine recommended Brad when I started looking for a therapist in San Francisco and he has been really helpful to work with. I've learned how to improve my communication and approach situations differently than I had in the past. Brad is straightforward, insightful, and provides me with solid feedback which I really value. Brad's a genuine person and I look forward to continuing to work with him in the future. More...

I have known and worked alongside Brad for several years now, and he remains a great colleague and just a great person in general. I admire his ability to utilize humor, and to work with people from all walks of life. I honestly can't think of a better person to send adolescents and adults to. As a clinician, it is important to me that I can trust that my referrals will be in good hands. With Brad, I know they will be well taken care of, and highly supported through their therapeutic process. More...

Brad has been an amazing resource for my family and cousin who was having trouble at home. He was one of the only counselors at Edgewood to really get through to him. Manny thanks!

It's great to see that Brad now has an office in Noe Valley! He is the therapist that our school feels most comfortable referring our teens to. We get excellent feedback from both teens and their parents which is so important. Teenagers really like working with Brad because of his friendly, engaging personality and parents appreciate how he involves them when working with their child.Brad has in depth knowledge of and experience in working with San Francisco school and mental health systems which is crucial when kids and families are struggling and need support. His training and experience in working with teenagers in the Bay Area is difficult to match and numerous parents who feel lost and overwhelmed have greatly benefited from sending their children to see him.Highly recommend! I have really enjoyed working with Brad. I was reluctant to see a counselor after having seen a couple in the past that didn't feel very effective and were somewhat awkward to interact with. Brad is really easy to connect with and is really straightforward. One of the key things I've liked about Brad's style is that he challenges me to not only gain insight but take action from these insights. He's also got a sharp sense of humor which I appreciate.  I think I previously had the idea that a counselor just spent time with people talking about their problems and asking them how they felt so it was refreshing to actually gain new tools which allowed me to move forward. I highly recommend seeing Brad. More...

Brad is great. Really down to earth guy who explains very complex issues in simple language. He knows the Bay Area really well and is very familiar with the unique stress and pressure that people are under so can really help you get right to it. His office is easy to get to also. I have known Bradford for several years and was instantly drawn to his warm, friendly and engaging nature.  He is truly a gifted therapist, bringing authenticity and empathy to his work that enables his clients to feel safe and heard.  More so, he can be direct (with some humor) that results in big shifts and positive change in his clients.  Bradford has had extensive training with adolescents and family work as well as anxiety and anger issues.  I would not hesitate recommending Bradford to anyone ready to make significant changes to their life! Q&As

I really enjoying watching people make positive growth in their lives. To see people make changes that yield the results they are looking for in really cool. Some people I work with want to start a new job or change career, others to get into a serious relationship, and some people want to address challenges they realize have held them back. Being a part of someone's positive change is awesome.

Working for the past decade in the Bay Area, I realized the huge need for straightforward therapists who understand the complex Bay Area culture to address complex issues like anger management, aggression, anxiety/depression, career stress/fatigue, and those challenging teenage years for both kid and parent.

I'm not a 'nod and smile' or "how did that make you feel"-type of therapist. I like to collaborate with people and work with them to achieve their goals in a safe environment. I believe in the idea of transferring my knowledge and skills to the people I work so they can move forward in their lives with confidence and self-sufficiency. I don't believe in therapy being a mystical experience and a place to admire problems but rather a place of personal growth.
