I just was the caterer there. Really super cool secret doors in closets., 1920s style rooms and offices the theater and show was great with the dancers doing the Charleston and other dances. . The people who work there get in to character. It’s has the 1920s authentic vibe. Joe the event manager is super helpful and a wise Guy from New York. ❤️ More...

We went to this show last night with friends. It was a blast and I am still so impressed with the quality of the whole thing. Such a cool space, great characters, costumes, musicians, drinks. If you have not done this, it is ending soon so what are you waiting for?  Everyone dressed up in period costume and looked like they were having the best time. We came to The Speakeasy on a Friday night. From the start, the experience was super authentic - I really liked how you met someone on the street that then told you directions of where to go. Once we got in, the drinks on the menu were varied and I liked the options. We ordered our first round and the show started. Once you got to walk around, it was a very cool experience how the actors engaged with the audience. The only downside was that it seems like there were quite a lot of actors and not as many guests enjoying the experience. No pictures from this one since you couldn't have your phone, but I did enjoy the Speakeasy! More...

JUST THE BEST TIME EVER!!! We happened upon this place/event via Yelp quite by accident while seeking nightlife... and words cannot express our appreciation and admiration for the talent. .. the effort... the authenticity... the FUN! Many dress appropriately for the occasion, (wish we had planned ahead, but cocktail wear was fine,) and you watch a fantastic vaudeville show with live band, singers, dancers and a rather too-longwinded comedian,  and then you wander through bars and several rooms, each of which has something hilarious, fantastic, funny, amazing, and delightful happening via live actors. The mob boss called my partner and a couple others into an office to direct them on their tasks: leading the prostitution, bootleg, etc activities. WHAT A BLAST!!! If I were a tech gazillionaire, I would fund this place to continue forever. More...

Once you abandon your cell phone and walk down the stairs, you are transported into another era - the 1920's Prohibition. We came with a big group, which was actually broken up because we all had different ticket times but that wasn't an issue at all because you are so engrossed in the experience that you are going to have an awesome time . We all dressed up in our most dapper outfits - flapper dresses, pearls, silk gloves, the works! It's wonderful because throughout the night you might be seated next to an actor or another patron. The venue has a cabaret, casino, and a bar. While you're exploring the venue (between watching the cabaret show), you stumble across little vignettes and see actors playing out a scene. The entire venue is cashless, so you set up your credit card tab, or "prescription" as they call it, ahead of time. That way you just show them your paper and they charge you at the end of the night. Great Gatsby lovers will go gaga for this experience! All in all, it was an amazing experience and my husband and I are looking forward to returning! When our friends from out of town come to visit, this is going to be our #1 recommendation! More...

We set up a corporate event at The Speakeasy, and it is one of the best events we have done. The staff was very friendly and helpful in setting up the event for us, the venue was a lot of fun and very authentic, and the actors worked hard to make us comfortable and entertain us all night. We had a great time getting our 1920's outfits ready beforehand, and also discovering all the side plots in the show itself. The whole event had a great 1920's ambiance, with lots of separate areas to explore, like the bar, the cabaret, the casino, and more. Sometimes we couldn't tell the actors from the audience! We are still discussing and swapping notes on everything that happened that night. I highly recommend this for group events. Definitely get the casino chips and cabaret reservations in advance, and get a group picture early in the evening; we were glad we did!Followup:I decided to take my fiancee to see the Mother's Day show, and we had a wonderful time! I can vouch for the fact that it is worth going to see the show a second time - I saw so much more the second time that I had missed the first; I think I will need to go a few more times to fully appreciate the experience. Once again, the cast worked hard to make the experience enjoyable and unique, and responded playfully to our enthusiasm. I can now personally recommend this for both group events and as an individual - you must go! More...

If you are reading reviews to decide if you should go, here is your answer: Yes you should go! We went to this event five times because we enjoyed it so much. You will enter a large floor of a building and have the option of participating in multiple activities throughout the night based on how you're feeling.Suggestions for when you do go (because you should go):(1) Be quiet the whole night, unless you are interacting with the actors. Most rooms have actors playing out scenes so it is important to be quiet so that everyone in the room can hear the action. It can be easy to forget this because the actors don't have microphones on their faces, so you just need to remain quiet the whole night for the most part. We REALLY enjoyed the nights when the audience was quiet and we could hear the dialogue, and absolutely hated the nights when the audience was drunk and too loud to hear the actors. ***Often, you need to listen to actors to pick up on clues so you can decide to follow their storyline or not, so you really do get more from listening.(2) You will probably not get "picked on" or called out by actors, but if you do then you can just smile and nod. Some of my friends were nervous about being forced to act in public, but if this happens you can just smile and say something generic and things will move on from you. If you are nervous about having to interact with the actors, don't be -- you can choose to continue conversations/actions with them and can proceed or walk away (politely). Personally, I enjoyed watching the actors and their plots more than interacting with them, but my boyfriend enjoys more involvement and got thrills out of becoming part of some plots.(3) Dress for the '20s. It is more fun and immersive.(4) Try all the rooms and follow your favorite characters throughout their plot lines. We had so much fun following a few actors throughout the night and seeing their whole story, because you learn hilarious and juicy things throughout the night. The next time we visited, we followed a different few actors and filled in our knowledge of how things fit together. Figuring out the "whole story" of all the characters is the best part of the experience to me!(5) Do not have more than three drinks. A few times we ordered more than three drinks at the bar, and later learned they are decently strong drinks, which was not fun during or after the show. They are strong drinks, so now we have a "two drink rule" for ourselves. More...

Oh wow, this was FUN!!! From the first visit to the website to reservations to dressing up to being met on a street corner and handed off to assorted characters. ..the site is literally off a random dark alley...through fake doors and more.  Inside is endless twists, turns, rooms, experiences, entertainment to join in with as much as you want.  (Yes, it's ok to just watch but why ) I laughed, I danced, I sang....my date wandered off to drink and gamble but it was the kind of crowd where that wasn't a problem.  The host was way fun and kept things going.  Am SO doing this again  with guests in town or not. I went into a time machine Friday night with my gang of friends!  I totally recommended this to go as a group!  A Date night is great for romance as well!  However,  the anticipation was awesome.. It was a progressive night of entertainment.  We had dinner and cocktails before the show which was our private cocktail hour.. Then met some strangers on the street that directed us to a secret night club filled with many secret rooms and I truly felt I was transported in time. I was literally in a movie with so many characters.  The fact that dress up is mandatory and no cell phones created a true vibe!  Victoria on pre booking was sensitive and patient with all my questions.  Velma was so talented that I had a girl crush for sure!  I heard Nick was the guy in charge and is Brilliant. I lost my credit card and Bosley answered my call and invited me back the next day and they found it!  I had a great time on the phone with you Bosley and your authentic humble talent was inviting!  I ended up meeting Megan the production manager the next day and hung out talking with the Director. Such genuine gals!  I will be back!!! Bucket list #23 completed 3/15th! More...

A tremendous evening out, and a difficult review to write because there were so many superlatives. You descend into a hidden place tucked quietly away just beyond the unsuspecting tourist and local hubbub of the neighborhood, and it's like walking through a time machine. The cell phones disappear into locked bags (thankfully!) that stay tucked securely away until the end of the evening. And then it begins. You are in a 1920's speakeasy, with all the entertainment and human drama imaginable. The promotional prose on the web site has got it right - it's immersive, and you are in the show, and a lot is going on around you. Do what you can to dress up to match the time and place - and the costumer recommended on the web site do fantastic work. The better costumed and more engaged you are, the more chance you'll find yourself in a scene. So many great, intertwined story lines going on in so many rooms. Plus the storylines you create with the other guests. For the extroverted, there's plenty of opportunity to become part of the scene. For the more reserved, there's so much to observe, experience, and take in. The major scenes are intense, but keep your eyes on the small details even from the very start. The actors/entertainers have it dialed in - they are convincing, interesting, and carry the night. And they keep things in constant motion, with stories unfolding everywhere, all the time.Sadly, it came to an end far too soon. We could have stayed hours more. We'll be back. More...
