I ordered through DoorDash. I've driven by the place several times meaning to try it. I definitely want to now! I saw that it was rated as very expensive and that's OK, I don't mind paying for quality food at times. It was for sure top shelf ingredients but...only 3 deviled eggs as an order? Sorry, but it really needs to be four! Those Hickory Smokin' Deviled Eggs were delicious. Talk about umami! Big time!!! Scrumptious. Had the TexMex brisket tacos, they were a generous portion, rich tender meat, crispy cabbage with the right crunch. The Texas Queso Dip was a little disappointing, fairly bland. I've been here twice. Once for drinks which were great and another time for dinner. The bartenders are great funny, friendly, and can make one hell of a greyhound. Dinner was pretty good I ordered the tri-tip and a side of potato salad. While the server lacked friendliness but he was attentive and checked on our table enough that I wasn't bothered by his demeanor( might have just been having a rough day). The tri-tip was good and so was the BBQ sauce ( it came on the side which I can appreciate) I was able to put as much sauce on the meat as I wanted. Now for the star of the review...The Potato Salad. I have found that store bought or homemade it's difficult to find een a decent potato salad. Boneyard Bistro's potato salad was AMAZING 100/100. GREAT FLAVOR and great texture. Great place and location. Open late. We had the brisket, tri tips baked beans and baby back ribs Good flavor, meat fell off the bone. that's what you want in good bbq. We will definitely be back. Josh the bartender was amazing. He made sure I knew all about their selections, curated some delicious cocktails and answered all of my questions. While vacationing in Los Angeles, we found this little gemafter leaving Universal CityWalk. The food was pretty good. I was surprised by the bread the sandwiches were served on. It was a little too much bread. I'm accustomed to the regular buns. The cole slaw...NO! I like vinegar based cole slaw usually but not so much here. I happened to be craving BBQ late Saturday night and had been following Boneyard Bistro on Instagram for quite some time now so I found this to be a good opportunity to visit as they stay open pretty late on the weekends. We ordered Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer and they were amazing. They were crispy and the burrata cheese just adds a whole another level of flavor. My whiskey sour was also yummy and sipped on it throughout my meal because I didn't want it to end. For my entree, I got the half rack of baby back ribs with a side of fried mac and cheese. My boyfriend ordered the pulled chicken with sweet potato fries. The pork came right off the bone and my plate came with a saucer of BBQ sauce. At first I thought it was a small amount of food for $25 but I was nice and full once I finished off my plate. My boyfriend also enjoyed his pulled bbq chicken. We both cleaned our plates. If we're craving BBQ, we'll definitely be back. Valet parking is offered but because we arrived after 8 pm on a Saturday night, there was some street parking nearby as the meters aren't on after 8 pm. More...

This was an excellent experience from start to finish. Food was amazing and service was impeccable. I would definitely recommend reservations, though we were able to get a high table for two as walk-ins. Boneyard has a huge selection of beers (and some ciders) on draft. Boneyard BIstro makes a great selection of barbecue, with generous portions of meltingly tender meat. My friend and I had the 3 meats (brisket, pulled pork with coleslaw, and tri-tip). Came here with a friend after a rough day at work and boy did it cure my blues. I'm a huge steak person and haven't found a steak place in LA yet that compares to some of the steakhouses back home in Detroit. Their steak options are heavy and are served in large portions ... just my style :) The atmosphere is warm and lively. Dinner before the show last night. We shared an appetizer that was a special they were fried dates with cheese and spices inside came with a spicy sauce on the side, the dates were very good. I had pan seared trout  with caper chimichurri, wilted spinach  and sour cream and chive mashed potatoes  All was excellent. Yum  My friend had a giant OMG burger . Her coleslaw was very good it had cilantro in it. She enjoyed her meal also. We shared a banana  crème brûlée for dessert  it was delicious tons of banana very creamy! Everything we ordered was delicious... got the prime rib steak with asparagus and onion rings as well as a small plate of beef ribs with fried Mac and Cheese. Also ordered the bacon blocks appetizer, which was so fricken good!  Aside from that, we ordered a beer and a mixed drink (forgot what it was called, but it had habanero in it and was spicy). Everything tasted so good. We are already planning to return here on a Monday to try out their Nashville chicken (Monday special).  The bill for all that food (which could've easily fed 3 people) came to $103... not bad considering the portion sizes and quality of the food. I've been here 4 or 5 times and the food is usually always good. The last time I went though the food was meh. I think because we came 30mins before closing and I could tell the kitchen staff wanted to get out of there. Which is fine i can understand this. I've worked in a restaurant before so i get it. But my one real gripe with this place are the cocktails. They are always pretty terrible. I enjoy an old fashioned while eating bbq, but they cant ever get it right. Either too much whiskey or not enough. Very strange. They have a pretty large list of drinks and i've tried just about all their signature cocktails when i go, but always pretty bad. GREAT food!$18 for brisket sandwich with one side (same price for the small brisket plate so with the sandwich you basically get the bread, a good French roll, for free).  Order "standard" vs lean for more flavor in the brisket. Marbled but not too fatty. Baked beans are really good and decent in size for a side.  The slaw is just so-so. Each meal comes with a basket of bread and yummy mini corn muffins. Fabulous ambience! On a early Friday night 8pm-10pm. Dined with friends my sister and my son! Seemed family friendly for the time we were there. I was definitely comfortable having my kid there! (Some places are funny about that) But it was just a dinner gathering and enjoyed the wine and some Lavender Lemonade Cocktail. Had the Quinoa Bean Burger w Fries. This tasty barbecue restaurant on Ventura Boulevard serves some great food, though the prices can be a little high. It definitely has a hipster vibe. Delicious BBQ in Sherman Oaks. Ribs are spicy and reasonable size although the mediums baby backs are smaller than the Texas/St Louis rack. Started off with the hush puppies and beet salad. The hush puppies are a must! The beet salad looked awesome but was not that great. Then for my entree I had the trout and it was pretty good. They had brought it out on a bed of mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. The only part of the entree I would change is the mashed potatoes, as they were a bit too watery.
