I came here for my first ever massage. My MIL found Body By Design online (since they are close to where we live) and bought me a gift card for my birthday. I was experiencing lower back pain from a previous sprain that wouldn't go away. I worked with Page. I swear, her hands are magical! Going to BBD has changed the way I feel about my problem areas of neck and shoulders. Alison is so talented and has really helped me with pain and getting into those deep knots. Another reviewer said she "reads" her body and no two massages are the same. I completely agree and it impresses me every time! She knows just what to do and I always leave feeling better. The massages are targeted for pain and problem areas vs the "typical" massages you think of. Relaxing, yes, but have more purpose. Payden was amazing! So knowledgeable and explained which muscle she was working on when I asked and also told me why some areas were sore (ex. My thumb was out of alignment and hurt when jumping rope at the gym...now I know why!) After the session I felt relaxed, loose, and had wider range of motion. Don't get me wrong, she WORKED those muscles; ones I didn't know that I had and didn't know they were sore! LolThe only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that the waiting area is in this open vestibule of what feels like an office building.
