This pl as ce was amazing. If you are in town make this place a must.
Just Awesome,... nothing else need be said!
Ok, here's a place that earns its 5 star rating. It's excellent! We began with Guacamole Duo, a huge plate of red chips with 2 types of guac Plus 4 dipping sauces. Ooooooooo....Next came the Elote. A ear of corn covered with cream, cheese and chipotle. You have to carve the kernels off the cob - part of the experience. It's just delicious. Then tacos showed up. I had the Cameron, the Mole de Pollo and the Macho. My fav was the cameron and its mouth watering bite after bite. The mole de pollo is richer and has a wonderful mole sauce mixed with the chicken. Ooooooo... the Macho was good, flavors were great but...it had a huge pepper in it and the beef was chewy. (Cut the pepper into strips? Slow cook the beef longer?)Craft beer selection could include pale ales, I had a Negra Model in the bottle. As Arnold said, "I'll be back!" More...
We had a great experience here. I'm not a big fan on the whole order food here, order beer over there and no wait staff. But the food was spectacular and beer was nice and cold. Parking can be tricky. More...
I can't give it 5 stars...I want to...but I paid for chips and salsa, which were pretty inventive salsas...5 of them...but one of them tasted like nail polish remover. The veggie taco and elote were pretty tasty tho. More...
They Rock Tacos!!!
SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. 25 minute wait for 2 tacos....waitress wasn't that friendly, however, the tacos and salsas were FREAKING AMAZING. Probably the best I've ever had. 5 stars just for the food alone jeeeezzuzzz sooo amazing I can hardly put it into words. More...
The food at Boca is awesome. There is a variety of salsas to choose from with a wide range of heat levels. Their guac is very well seasoned as well. There is a great balance of flavor all around. But one of my favorite things was to watch Cheif Maria, who is obviously very talented in the kitchen come out and not only serve the food sometimes but also bus a table or just wipe off a table for a customer. AMAZING leadership! Well done all around!! More...
Fantastic eats! Every thing was delicious but it was kind of self service
Very good chips and good tacos. Salsa was ok, wish they had Coke products. They only have RC cola.
Possibly the best tacos I’ve ever eaten.
Wow! I has 4 different tacosCamarónDon panchoTaco dogOctopusThey were all super bomb!My favorite had to be the taco dog with Winnie beans and pico amaizing! Follow my story @marreeves
Great Tacos of high quality, reasonable prices
cauliflower taco- who knew. outdoor patio when the weather is right
Intrigued with this place
Tried this place for the first time tonight after asking around about good tacos! When we first walked in we enjoyed the comfortable, casual atmosphere, and the fact that there were other people dining on a Monday night at 9pm! Good sign of good food!!! The menu is a little confusing, as for sauces, and what not, but figured it out rather quickly! We tried a couple unique mescal shots and ordered 5 tacos to share! Our food came up pretty quickly, and they were DELICIOUS!!!! Wow!!! I was very impressed with the flavor profiles of the tacos! They were $3.50-&5 each but well worth it! Loaded with flavor! We will definitely return to Boca again! Our only complaint hence the 4 stars was the service, they weren't terrible, but not real helpful, and also not the most friendly-but we got what we asked for and enjoyed ourselves! More...
BOCA has bar and tacos, but is so much more. I’ve sat in the evenings many nights and enjoyed chips n salsa. Frequently the staff are engaging and are like friends. Their BOCA balls are a must try; potato chipotle balls covered in panko crumbs. I’ve come here from years and always find its fun to take a group. More...
Boca balls are awesome!
Always delicious. Always creative
Great food. Great drinks. Very popular with the locals. Happy hour starts at 4.
Very good tacos and salsa. Will go back
Get the elote! I love Boca. Their sauces are usually too hot for me but oh the tacos. As a veganatarian I am hard pressed to find good tacos (Tumerico aside). Their vegetarian-vegan offerings are really delicious and creative. The things they can do with cauliflower! My word! I highly recommend Boca for the food and also for the decor and staff. Really nice place More...
This place is amazing! Food is delicious and vegan options and salsas are awesome! Definitely a place no matter what you try you will be satisfied
Interesting choices. For what you get the Price Is Right. Because of the size you get a chance to try a few different items. Chicken was overdone but the fish tacos was very good! Will go back again More...
Tacos that I've tried are very good. The citrus chicken one really stands out. They also have 4-5 different style salsas/dips from one day to the next. So, even the same taco can taste slightly different than the last time you had it. As close to Cali artisan tacos as you can get in Tucson. There's also a full bar (hence the 'Tequila' part of the name) More...
Very good tacos from BOCA. Always love going here.
What's in season is the Salsa's of the day, yummy yum always .. designer tacos, the best! Not your everyday taco. Bocoballa are the bomb.
Super tasty soft tacos, including good veggie and vegan options. Great selection of beer on tap. Cute venue with indoor and patio seating.
I wish I had took some to go. Great food, drinks and service.
Great quesadilla rellena and veggie tacos!! Delicious!! Service was great!!
Fabulous as always! Every weekend it is an adventure,
I have eaten here twice. They are super fast, and the food is quality and so flavorful. They have options for vegans.
Excellent tacos. Great price. Great beer selection. Great service. All outstanding.
The food here is incredible, seriously really good. The prices are really great too. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was that it took close to an hour to get the food. But you forget about the wait once you try it. I especially liked the steak taco with poached egg and the taco dog. More...
The BEST in AZ. Nothing like this in Phoenix, not even close to this. All fresh and tasty. Staff is unbelievable!!
Excellent food & drinks! The owner, Maria talks about the Sonoran flare & variety of salsas. She's spot on with the "Sonoran" style of food. And the salsas vary in taste & make the whole experience fun! Will definitely be back soon!! Loved it... More...
Delicious food with some unique taco options. Everything I have ordered has been flavorful and well prepared. Chips and salsa here are a separate charge but totally worth paying for because you get a ton of chips and 4 or 5 different salsas to try.
In a city with so many excellent taco options, Boca still manages to stand out with its delicious tacos, unique salsas, and strong beer selection. I've had many of their tacos, and liked or even loved all of them. My favorites, though, are the Mole de Pollo (chicken tossed in a traditional mole poblano sauce topped with sesame seeds), Bistek (braised beef simmered in a spicy ranchero sauce), and the Pescado (beer batter fried white fish). I'm also a fan of the Veggie (sautéed mix of mushrooms, onions, serrano peppers, cilantro and melted cheese) and the Tofu (honey mustard marinated grilled tofu).I highly recommend getting the guacamole duo. Also, even if you don't get the guacamole, definitely get some chips -- they have new salsas every day, and you'll definitely want to be able to eat some on chips as well as pour it on your tacos. The service here can be hit or miss, even with keeping in mind that this isn't a full-service establishment. I've had generally good service, but when they get busy, certain things tend to slip (no napkins in the bins on the table, no water in the self-serve water dispenser, etc.). Those occasional blips certainly don't ruin the experience; this is a fun spot with great food, and I always enjoy my meals here! More...
Really good food a little on the pricey side but worth it for the size of serving
Venison tacos were amazing!
Fast casual meets gourmet and reasonably priced tacos. It's perfect!
Octopus taco was incredible. Ribeye taco was massive, but under-seasoned (it could have used quite a bit of salt). There's a lot of variety here, so I'm looking forward to coming back for something different!
Wonderful tacos and the best salsa and chips.
Boca is a fun and great place to hangout with friends. Well priced food and drinks that are tasty. If you're a fan of street tacos you'll love this place. If you just like tacos then what are you waiting for. If this is your first time I recommend trying the Boca balls and fish tacos. The beers on tap are amazing but are better than most places on 4th. Overall this place is a solid 9/10 and I would recommend to just about everyone. More...
These tacos are so good! I love that they have a lot of vegan/vegetarian options! The drinks are delicious as well and the service is good too! Don't know what everyone else was complaining about.. i had a very enjoyable experience. More...
Delicious! The tortilla chips were fresh & hot and perfectly salted. We ordered salsa, which came out as 5 different made-in-house kinds, which were all great. The guacamole duo (also with chips) was very fresh and quite good.I had the ribeye taco and the pescado taco. My ribeye taco was a tiny bit dry, but the flavor was good. The pescado taco was good; the sauce on it was AMAZING. Others had delicious chicken mole taco, carne asada taco, steak quesadilla - all were delicious.Great variety on the menu! We didn't have any tequila, but we will definitely be back again and will have some then! More...
Some unique specialty tacos that surprise the pallet. The cooking is fresh and you can tell by the first bite that each thing you eat it carefully crafted and made fresh none of that overly stuffed feeling you may get from a traditional taco shop. The salsa is just as unique as BOCA is. Make sure you order chips and salsa. The staff is helpful and kind and you can tell they love working there along with being on there game and on point at all times. More...

Good happy hour.
Honestly amazing will be back everything was great, had the ribeye and egg taco and the chile verde taco as well as the boca balls, salsas were Interesting, a couple weren't to my taste but obviously prepared with thought and intention (daily). Great vibe too, wait staff were maybe a little cold but it was busy and we were happy. More...
Wow! I'm adding this spot on my Must Come Back list. We had their chips with guacamole and about 6 different salsas and they were all delicious, the peanut butter habanero salsa was the hottest. I was only able to eat 3 tacos - shrimp, steak with tamarind sauce, and the one with a poached egg- and I was very impressed, great quality. Good service, the girls were great! My parents are "masters" at making salsa and they ended buying 2 jars of their homemade salsas. I wished I lived here to try everything on their menu. YOU MUST COME HERE! More...
Food very tasty. Chef greeted us. Salsa were very different . Delish
Good food tho a little too slow even at lunch time
Yummy tacos and great tequila!!
Fantástico!!! The tacos are delicious and the salsas HOT!!! Just the way I like it!!!
The food was tasty, as were the margaritas, even if they were quite weak. My biggest complaint is the lack of staff and having to order food from one person at a small stand. This place could definitely use more space for ordering or even better converted to full service, which it feels like it should be. More...
We love your food..rice, beans, carne asada tacos and burros, pouched egg tacos. Positive criticism: having someone available to help ( first time customers) in understanding how to order and questions they might have. Atmosphere: Wonderful...if it stays the same in the fall when students return to U of A.Found cutting boards were cute and different however, trying to keep beans and its juices ( if sharing) from running off cutting boards proved to be difficult.Thank you for your consideration. More...
Always fresh and crisp ingredients... Great atmosphere. Employees look happy, always smiling and very helpful...
Interesting flavors. A bit of an over kill sometimes. Good in general.
Good food, good atmosphere, friendly staff, pet friendly patio, and some of the salsas are hot enough to double as paint stripper.
Nice place great friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food was delicious seasoned just right. We had a fantastic time/experience here and will be back. I recommend it you should try it and you will too lol just give it a try :) More...
Best tacos in Tucson! Def eat the elotes!
Great service and food. Can't wait to go back.
Delicious hands down!
Excellent food and atmosphere. Beers from a variety of breweries. Great vegan and vegetarian options. The carnivores eat well here too!
Great prices for quality tacos. Chipotle bbq taco tastes great.
Chef Maria is an amazing culinary artist. Her food is so incredible. I love that each day she creates new delights for your palate. Definitely a must eat here in Tucson. More...
The only thing more fantastic then the food and beer selection is the chef Maria Jose
Delicious and local. Love it here. Even have options for food allergies.
Great food but they are so stingy with the salsa
Tacos are fantastic!
Fresh organic and locally produced food. Shared a Macho Taco, Pollo Tacos/flour tortilla, Mole De Pollo Taco/flour tortilla and sides of Boca Balls and Rice.Tacos were simply fresh tasting and scrumptious. Delicious!!! Sides were good.Would have given five star rating, but tacos were not hot, came out warm at best.Definitely give another try and mention what needs to be fixed. I could see myself returning as a regular. You can taste the difference in quality of product.....and it's huge.Hope to raise my rating to 5-star!A must try. By the way, the ambience is really cool too. More...
This was our first time here and my wife and I had a lovely time. We started with the Guacamole Duo, which it turns out came with 4 different kinds of salsa. We took our time enjoying and experimenting with the different flavor combinations. Which was good, because the tacos do take some time to come. The Elote was also very good. They imitate the street corn with the crema and cotija cheese sprinkled on it. A little more burnt than I usually like it, but that's being nit-picky. Make sure you have plenty of napkins around before you start eating it. Then came the tacos. My wife had the Poached Egg taco, which is Ribeye steak over grilled onions topped with a poached egg. She loved it so much that I didn't even get a taste. She said it tasted like the best steak and eggs breakfast she ever had, just squished into a taco. Her second taco was the Dan Gibson, a Pan seared ribeye in tomato and tamarind sauce. She enjoyed this one as well, but was getting full by the end of it, so I actually got a taste. The Tamarind was an interesting flavor choice and the ribeye was cooked just right. I think I would have enjoyed it better on a plate with a Tortilla in hand, however, as the sauce disintegrated taco and I ended up having to eat it with a fork. I got the Macho taco, Chopped steak stuffed in an Anaheim chile with melted cheese. This was my favorite taco by far. The chopped meat mixed with the Chile just hit all the right notes and I was happy with every bite. My second taco was the Hot Dog taco, a Sonoran style dog with bacon wrapping and beans, but in two tortillas instead of a bun. While the flavor was excellent, I saw why a bolillo bun is ideal for this combo. The tortillas could not stay together for long and I again ended up finishing it with a fork, a great source of shame given my Sonoran dog eating heritage. All that being said, this is now on my list of go to taco joints. The service was excellent, the food enjoyable in both taste and presentation, and the atmosphere was fun. Highly recommend. More...
This place has some of the best salsas in rotation. It made me feel like I was in Hawaii with the great taste of salsa. Idk why but It's very fresh and tasty. I always get the Shrimp tacos and I'm always satisfied. The bar counter top is made of penny's which is kind of cool. But the inside vibe is chill and good for all ages. I don't have any pictures of the food on my phone. But I got one of the sign inside... I recommend this place to anyone! More...
Kept hearing about how good this place was, so finally made it over to try it out. I was not disappointed at all! We got a quesadilla with poblanos to start (that may not have been what it was called), it came with caramelized onions which were slightly sweet and amazing. We got a couple tacos to try, my husband got breaded fried fish taco and I picked a smoked bbq pork that had cinnamon and chilies. The server brought a basket of sauces for us to try with our food. I was skeptical about the apple/cinnamon one, but it was so, so very good with the bbq pork. My husbands only comment was that he wished his taco had some kind of crema on it, as normal with fish tacos. I personally can't wait to go back and try more things! PS, you have to order at a stand to the right of the door when you come in- nobody will seat you or take your order. More...
I really like this place. The classic carne asada and pork tacos are solid, but, honestly, you can get better for cheaper at some of the taco stands in town. It's the less traditional tacos--the a.m., the tofu, the shrimp--that draw me. The creative salsas, which range from pineapple to banana to balsamic vinegar flavored, are also a huge plus, and the chips that you can order to eat them are super fresh. It's my favorite restaurant to eat when I go down to Fourth. Now for the less good: it takes forever to get your food if it's busy and a long time even if it's not busy. I understand that they make everything to order, but it still seems like they could maybe implement a better system for getting orders out. It doesn't stop me from going back, though. More...
Probably on of the best places to eat on 4th. It's busy and slightly pricey, but the food is 100% worth both inconveniences.
Squid taco is sublime, love variety of tacos and daily bomb salsas!
Great selection, interesting flavor combinations and delicious tacos!

Good food with great style. A local establishment worth checking out!
Loved the tacos!!
Very amazing food, one of a kind tacos,I will be back!

So delicious and located in the really cute historic 4th Avenue area. Happy hour tequila prices were dirt cheap. The salmon taco, the pork verde and the elote were all on point!!
Good street tacos. Pricey

Delicious food, quick service even though the place was packed

I don't understand how this place only has 3.5 stars! Amazing. The guacamole...so good. It has some sort of cheese in it that adds soooo much flavor. The home-made chips are delish. The tacos and salsa are all very unique and flavorful. My favorite was the shrimp taco and so was my friend's. More...
Usually a good experience here.Have had the fish tacos many times, but the last two timesinstead of a generous portion of white fish they're been mostlydeep fried dough!
I have been going here before they moved and the salsa is always a hit. My wife and I used to eat at Boca once a week before we moved. I love the new location on 4th congrats to the owner on the big change! More...
Great food great atmosphere our bartender was top notch.
Awesome fish and brisket Taco's
It's a creative spin on your typical street taco. The quality of meat is incredible and the overall taste of the taco is delicious. The salsas are fun and really well done. Again, it's not traditional so the salsas aren't THAT spicy but it still is delicious and compliments the taco very well. It may be on the "pricey" side for a taco but this place is giving you very high quality food. I will definitely be going back!! More...
Tastey tacos. Can't wait to go back and try some more!
First time here, but will definitely be going back. The tacos are awesome, the salsas phenomenal and the drinks spectacular.
Nice spot for tacos n drinks on 4th ave
Great tacos, but you should be patient for your food. It takes 20 minutes to bring your dish!
Some of the best tacos I've ever had, hands down. There are plenty of vegan options (I had the cauliflower and hot pepper). The prices were very reasonable and we sat outside on the lovely patio. More...
Great street style tacos. Excellent hot salas. Great staff!
The food is interesting and fun, but not the best. If I'm looking for good tacos, it's not my first choice. If I'm looking for a place to have interesting food and drinks on 4th, it's fun. There are always different salsas, but unfortunately most are way too hot and habanero based. More...
The food was fantastic!!!!
Great service and exceptional food everytime.
Always delicious and creative!
Best place on 4th avenue with amazingly creative specials and a great environment. Being at Boca will always be a great time whether you're alone or with a couple of friends, bring your mom, your grandma, your friends mom, your friends' friends! Bring everyone!! Best authentic Mexican food More...
Fresh looks good happy hour prices. I was listening to band in patio. Thry were ignored by 3 wait staffers. Que no!Happy Cinco de Mayo. More...
Food is delicious drinks are good server's are friendly Maria the owner is awesome , my wife and I love this place.
It's almost as if their motto is the weirder, the better. Tucson already has more than enough authentic taco places so why not try somewhere more fusion and more eclectic? I heard that their menu changes often and they even do a night once a week of exotic tacos which sadly I have not made it to yet but it's definitely about to turn into a priority for the next few weeks! More...
Tacos were super yummy but overpriced. Definitely not traditional tacos but a fun twist. Their salsas were really good but having to pay $5+ for chips and salsa is annoying, that should just be complimentary. Had to wait forever for our food as it was very busy (even for a week night). Only come here if you're willing to wait and spend a little extra for great food and atmosphere. More...
Consistently the best tacos in Tucson. I personally recommend the AM, camarón, or tofu. It's definitely a little more casual (tacos are served on cutting boards and there's a bucket of forks and napkins at each table/ water is serve yourself) but that does not take away from the experience at all. The spot on 4th is perfect for them, if you're looking for a some delicious and fresh food boca is the place to go! More...

I loved this place five years ago at its old Speedway location, and love it in its current one. Chef Maria's rotating salsas are bomb.
First time, and it was really great.
Great place, the food is to Die For!... Great location on 4th Ave...Try it, you won't be disappointed!
Was some Amazon tacos. The bar was nice .. it's super busy , I guess most of the time so the order takes a bit .. but the staff is great and they are quick at getting your orders out.
Hands down favorite spot for tacos! Fresh and delicious, they put together awesome dishes of tasty greatness. Plenty of cold drinks that match the quality of food the kitchen puts out. Staff is welcoming, friendly and always there to fill your glass! The fresh made house salsas put the finishing touches on each dish. Give them a try for lunch or happy hour, enjoy an evening dinner, they will not disappoint! Thanks for another awesom lunch BOCA! More...

Always a good meal and Margaritas at Boca. Love the Boca balls! Maria is the best. Love her and her restaurant.
Every time I go there chef Maria continues to impress where the you there for the taco the tequila or the salses I promise you won't be disappointed. I ordered three tacos which were great for my healthy appetite, definitely satisfied my hunger. The tacos I ordered were carne asada, octopus and a pork Chile verde. The octopus was surprisingly my favorite. Being quite far from the ocean I was a bit skeptical, but it tasted fresh and was cooked until tender. Only issue I had was that it was chopped too small. The Chile verde taco was good but a bit bland, definitely needed a bit of seasoning and acidity of lime. The pork was very tender though. Carne asada was my least favorite, and wouldn't order again. It was dry and lacked any flavor, definitely lacked the charred flavor asada is known for. The toppings of cabbage, avocado sauce and pickled red onion definitely complemented the tacos without overpowering and the three salsas that were served were great. Other than that, I wish they served chips and salsa while waiting for food. More...
These are the best tacos I've had in Tucson. The chipotle BBQ tacos are my favorite. They're soooo good. The mole tacos are also fantastic.
Best tacos I had in Tucson. Tasty creative salsas and delicious boca balls. Good atmosphere as well. To sum up my experiences here, I wrote the following haiku:Patio sunsetsPinkies dipped in salsaFull of zest and zeal.

Fun place, great tacos and the salsas are amazing- sangria is very refreshing- you order and pay at the front- make sure you tip because all the rest of the service is provided by the wait staff!
Love the boca balls! Generally overpriced.
Bar none, the taste and the elaborate recipes of the tacos are the best in town! You will not be disappointed, highly recommend the fried potato balls, and the taco with the poached eggs. Prices are pretty good, roughly 3$ per taco, you will not be disappointed with any choice! More...
Boca does a few things, and they do those few things really well. The concept is really cool and basic--what if you took the very simple street taco and fancied it up? The answer is: Umm... It would be really good. The tacos are great. There are the classics like the popular Macho taco. If it's your first time (or maybe even your tenth time), I recommend this one. But I also personally really enjoy the Don Pancho because I love the beans and they work great on the crispy tortilla with the meat. My wife likes to get the veggie taco, macho style, and you can honestly hardly tell the difference between the steak and the mushrooms. The salsas, changed every single day, make the chips & salsa a must-buy each time you visit as opposed to a "thing to snack on while you wait for your food," which is what C&S is at many Mexican restaurants. The unique salsas make every visit novel and interesting, even if you've been a hundred times. The happy hour is outstanding. $1.50 beers, $1.50 tacos, $5 margaritas. It's exactly what you want from a Mexican restaurant happy hour. The most common gripe I see here is that it's slow, takes too long to get your food, etc. The place is very popular because it's very good. Expect to stand in line for a few minutes to order, and then to wait a few minutes for your food. It is a counter service restaurant, but it is NOT fast food. Google will tell you something like, "People typically spend one hour here," so plan accordingly. Make sure you have time to enjoy the food and the atmosphere and you aren't rushed, and you'll have a great meal. More...
One of my favorite places to eat in Tucson.
Always get the Sonoran Taco Dog here. Service is great.
Delicious tacos, huge variety of option, great prices.
Food was great, very fresh & delicious!!! Service was almost non-existent. Sort of a help yourself place.
It's hard to find good veggie tacos that actually have flavor and unique ingredients. Look no further, Boca has several! Not only are the tacos amazing but they also offer flavorful speciality salsas that are "hotter than your wife"! The environment is always upbeat, with friendly and helpful service even when it's crazy busy! One of my favorite restaurants, will definitely be back soon! More...
Amazing! Best street tacos I've ever had! I tried 5 different ones and they were all great! The cauliflower, grilled shrimp, one with steak and tamarind, pork verde and a fried fish. The 3 salsas that came with it were great too! I would go back in a heartbeat! More...

This is a really good place to get fairly cheap and really good food. The different salads are fun to try and the drinks are great. The location is awesome especially if you are on 4th Ave for the day. But... the servers and workers have been super rude and not very kind every time i've gone. They are lucky their food is fantastic. More...
We stopped at BOCA for a drink and appetizers. The $5 Paloma is a great deal: strong drink + instagram-esque aesthetic. We ordered the chips and dip, plus Boca balls. Honestly, the Boca balls didn't blow my mind, but they were an experience! The chips and deal were an amazing deal: four homemade salsas + hot chips! Because there were four of us in the party, they brought us one bag of chips, but two different four packs of salsa. The bartenders and wait staff were all very friendly. I would definitely go back! The only struggle I had was trying to pick what I wanted, everything on the menu sounds so good. I finally decided to get one pollo taco, one mar y tierra taco (aka surf n turf), elote and boca balls (which are these tasty fried potato balls served with a spicy/sweet chili sauce and a creamy avocado sauce). Everything tasted delicious! The Valentine's special cocktail was great, I really liked that the glass rims on their cocktails are dipped in that chili powder that coats Mexican candies (blanking on the name at the moment). Having dinner there was a great experience and I have no real complaints. More...
Eat all the tacos. ALL OF THEM!!!
Tacos and Tequila
Very excellent food and the drinks are one of a kind but what really makes it special is the types of salsas they have. Everytime I've been there it has been good.
Lives up to everything.
Great food and great atmosphere
Great food and atmosphere, but they charge for chips and salsa.
Absolutely amazing tacos, etc. Takes awhile when it's busy, but have a beer and relax. Soon you'll be in taco heaven. Part of what makes Tucson, Tucson.
Casual place with good food in the heart of 4th Avenue. Definitely worthy of a visit.
Spectacular combos of flavors, smells, sites and sounds! My kind of customization of the "taco"!! Must try spot in Tucson! - CHEER$
The best reimagined Mexican food in town. So good it will turn even the staunchest traditionalist mexicanos into snobbish foodies. Seriously though it's delicious... if you're willing to fight for a seat. For best results, come early. More...
First time at this establishment. The place was actually recommended by another business owner a few doors down from Boca. I had the salmon tacos. They were very good. A tasty mix of flavors. Nice atmosphere, a good balance between trendy and rustic. The staff was attentive and friendly. I will come back again. More...
BOCA tacos is probably in my top five Tucson taco places (and there is some tight competition). Their salsas are always an adventure and often surprisingly tasty (you didn’t know you needed peanut butter in your salsa). Their chipotle bbq taco is outstanding. I’m sad they got rid of the Boca boxes though, as they were an excellent deal. More...
Great tacos, also a wide variety of salsas and plenty of chips for all. They have everything from tacos to burritos plus boca balls. family friendly, and they even have "salsas hotter than your wife" :) More...
Excellent service, delicious food.

This place is one of my absolute favorites! The tacos are delicious and sold a la cart style. They have a rotating/different salsa menu that is to die for. They have a great selection of drinks and their prices are great. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a new favorite taco place. More...
Amazing Bloody Mary. Had the Macho taco and it was fantastic.
Gourmet tacos, unique salsas and cool atmosphere.
Excellent! A delicious and creative take on tacos. Something for every taste, including vegetarian options.
Happy hour $1.5 beef or veggie taco!
Four stars for uniqueness. Excellent salsas, very different. Get your own water & place your own order at the counter threw me off due to the atmosphere but I suppose it works. I disliked the people that came in with tails & forgot to shut the door (it was a cold night). The quesadilla was not much to rave about, it was really the salsa that made the specialness. More...
God I love this place. Tacos are to die for! Thanks Chef Maria! Great service. Good bar! Decent beers on tap too. One of my favorite spots on 4th ave!
Awesome tequila and tacos. We went here while visiting and really wish we had this place in Seattle. Received great tequila recommendation from Eddie and superb service from Mila. If this was in Seattle we would be fatter and poorer. Would definitely recommend this place. More...
This place is the best. I only wish it was closer to where we lived. Their tacos and salsa are unlike anything I've had. The service is unbeatable and the margs are perfection. More...
Yep it's delicious and just as good as when it was on Speedway! The variety of salsas is way fun and tasty. They all have differing spice levels but they make the experience unlike any other Mexican food I have had in Arizona after living here for twenty years. Aside from being unique they are also delicious. The tacos are superb and the burro we got today was HUGE! If you have company coming in to Tucson and want to impress TAKE THEM TO BOCAS! More...
Great food and prices in a great location
Pricey but great food, amazing sauces
Best tacos I've ever had! Fun, rustic place but kind of hard to get a seat. We were there on a chilly evening, there is outdoor seating that would be fine if it were a bit warmer. We had a tasty Apple Pie cocktail - so good we wished it was bigger. Truly amazing tacos! More...
Amazing food and service!
The cameron, the macho and the puerco verde are fantastically fantastic

Will eat there many more times. Great food
Very good food. The guacamole starter is bomb.
Good tacos, friendly service, comfy and warm setting... kind of a disorganized way of ordering food - from a counter instead of from your table.
Guacamole is great but don't fill up before your taco arrives, amazing salsa. I loved it
Great tacos! Very slow getting them.
Definitely a place you need to try! I tried the Don Pancho taco and the Chipotle BBQ taco. Both of them were great and the jalapeno salsa topped them off nicely.
A little pricey but good. Personally would rather have a good amount of one salsa with chips than six small ones. Delicious none the less.
Love the food and service !! Everyone is super friendly
I love their Tacos especially when Maria makes her delicious specials of the week or weekend special. I love that there is always something different in the menu. Although the permanent Taco choices are amazing too. Drinks are also made fresh like the hibiscus and lemonade. She also has a fun Cactus cooler soda that I've never seen anywhere else. I had a yummy shot of their pineapple mezcal and it was so much fun and delicious. I see that some of the reviews express frustration with pay first then sit down to eat. As a local, let me tell you that this is a necessary measure restaurants in this area are forced to take because of the history of certain people skipping on their bill after they've eaten. The courtyard is cozy and relaxing perfect space to enjoy a nice meal. The flower shop and the honey boutique that are adjacent to Boca make it wonderful places to visit and shop while you are there. More...
I miss you, Boca! You became my favorite tacqueria before I moved away! I miss your salsas, tortillas, pescado and rajas tacos were my favorite! Great draft beers too.
Sooooo good! Get the burrito and chips with salsa!
First time...loved it
Ordered Pollo tacos with rice and beans(delicious by the way), they were out of beans, which I've worked in the food industry before so I understand, so the guy took them off my total and even offered to give them to me free of charge if they came up before I left. Will definitely be visiting here again. The staff is amazing More...
Delicious veggie and/or meat tacos that come with amazing salsas.
Amazing!! Food was yummy, creative and we will definitely be back to try more of their menu!!
Great tacos! Even the vegan options
Some of the best Tacos in Tucson!
The tacos are great, and I always get chips as well. Rotating salsa selections range from why (arugula) to wow (everything else!) making return trips worthwhile.Order while someone from you party scouts out a table. It can get busy for good reason! More...
Nothing more to say than awesome!!!!!
Love this place. Consistently good tacos every time I've gone – Salmon and Taco Dog are my favorite right now! I've tried almost all of them on the menu now, all nicely creative (but not crazy over the top) and great ingredients. Props to the chef!I had an interesting experience my last visit; definitely just a miscommunication all around, it totally happens! Both Ethan, the bar manager, and Daniella, the hostess, were so awesome and handled it all exceptionally. I apologized, they apologized, we all apologized, togetherrrrr... Thanks so much for understanding, and like I said, I'll be back for those churros!!!! More...
Best tacos ever!!!
Food was SO good. Amazing tacos. Service was mostly good and mostly friendly. A little pricey but I understand why. Definitely go. If you cant afford it than go during happy hour! More...
Some options were very, very good, others were okay.
Really amazing food and drinks! Long line but totally worth the wait
The food here is delicious. A good place to take out of towners or your parents, but definitely a little pricey for a taco restaurant.
Super nachos are amazing. Great service
Amazing salsas and tacos. Bloody Mary's are great. But service is slow. They have a counter you order from, then they bring your drinks and food out. It was our first time there. Our first round of drinks took 15 minutes to get. Then we wanted another round, so went up to the counter, waited in line for 10 minutes. The bartender told us we could have just ordered from her... we got there just in time before they got super busy. More...
It was our (me and my fiance) first time here and we loved it! There's a good variety on the menu (sides, tacos, burritos, etc) and the atmosphere/decor is very welcoming and aesthetic. We ordered one Asada taco and one Chipotle BBQ taco. We loved both! They were a tiny bit expensive at $3.60 each, but they were worth it. They came out lightning quick, and on cutting boards instead of plates (very innovative). BOTTOMLINE: we recommend and we will eat here again when we're in the area again. More...
Taco heaven on 4th Ave! I like to recommend Boca to visitors, especially since they've been featured in the press and on tv programs. My favorites include shrimp and asada. The salsas add a good punch of flavor. The food consistently satisfies! The restaurant is spacious and the outdoor patio is dog friendly. I suggest happy hour if you're looking for drink specials. The happy hour tacos are smaller though. I wish the portions were a little bigger, but otherwise the tacos are very flavorful. More...
Having a variety of tacos today from Boca and taking advantage of the awesome selection of Firestone Barrelworks selection at tap and bottle! Lucky girl! can't beat this Saturday afternoon! More...
Great staff. Excellent food! Definitely stop in
This place has really good food. It ranges from $ to $$ Depending on what you order. It has a nice outdoor patio as well. It is located in the heart of downtown so you will have a lot of shops and bars and curiosities to see afrer your food.We ordered a large steak quesadilla and an elote (mexican style corn on the cob, a must have) and we shared it. This place serves some outrageous salsas with their food, and the salsas change throught the week. So you can order the exact same thing on different days and it will come with a different twist because of the salsas. We had two drinks which raised the tab quite a bit but they where awesome. My wife had an "old fashioned horchata" made with fresh crushed orange, caramel and who knows what else. It was delicious. I had a beer because, you know, I am a guy, and I am not gonna have one of those sweet girly drinks. My beer was really cold, but after trying my wifes drink, I would have gladly traded. She wasn't going for that. More...
Great tacos, and wonderful service.
Excellent food, great selection of tequila.
Awesome Friday lunch. Tacos served on flour tortillas or corn if GF or cabbage wrap. Great tequila choices and beers list, which changes. Tacos average $4. Eclectic 4th street location. More...
This new style Mexican restaurant on 4th Ave was really good. The food options were great and the service, even though we went on a pretty chaotic night, was top notch. If you go, get a few different kinds of tacos to check out the differences between them. You can also customize with a bunch of kinds of salsa, some of which get pretty spicy and all of which were vert good. More...
This place was amazing! It was super busy and I had to wait a little while for food but the staff was super friendly and the space is pretty cool. I loved all of the vegetarian options, I went twice and tried them all! More...
Buena música ,cerveza y amabilidad .
We had a party of 4 and all enjoyed what we ordered. We tried appetizers and each had something different from the dinner menu. We were offered samples of several beers before choosing one and enjoyed margaritas as well. It was an experience we would all choose to have again. More...
Best tacos ever!
the food was incredible. cannot wait to return
Great comfortable 4th Avenue atmosphere delicious food
Good food good people good atmosphere
Good food, strange setup for ordering that takes a LONG time.
This place is awesome. Cool little eatery on 4th street. Very eclectic with nice friendly staff. We came in based on other great reviews and were not disappointed. All tacos are served with finely shredded cabbage and topped with a green avocado cream sauce. The tortillas were so good with your choice of home made corn or flour. We tried 4 different tacos and each were delicious in their own way. The Puerco Verde (carnitas) was so tender and juicy it practically melted in your mouth. The chipotle BBQ was my favorite. At first you get this taste of sweet honey then the kick of the chipolte pepper follows. Again super tender and juicy. The carne asada was a little dry but had great flavor. Don't forget the chips and salsa. The chips are hot and fresh served out of a paper bag with 5 different unique salsas to try. If you are craving authentic tacos with a flavor blast this is the place to go. More...
Very cute place! A little crowded but I went on a Friday night. To be expected. Great vegetarian options and I loved their shrimp tacos (called something else) the only downside is I didn't really like the seating arrangements set up.Tables are set up in a very awkward set up and the line forms and then blocks people from exiting. Not really safe. Took my mother here when she was in town and she enjoyed the place as well! More...
Really good tacos - choices for everyone, even have vegan options. The salsa's are super weird and hit or miss Bc they change them weekly. We liked the guacamole though. Pictured: chips, salsa and guacamole. I love the mushroom tacos here More...
LOVE LOVE LOVE the chicken tacos are to die for i would think they need a more spicer mexican hot salsa to compliment their tacos a little betterbut overall so delicious and they have avocado straws! the food is great and i would eat here again and again! More...
WOW! These are the best tacos I have EVER had. This a genuine foodie talking, and I don't mess around!! It's 8:30 in the morning and I am just waiting for 11 am to roll around so I can get more tacos!! The mole was the best I've had! The grilled shrimp-phenomenal! And the beer! A perfect coupling!! I confess I haven't had the tequila yet, but soon come, soon come!! I wish Boca the best and many future years of culinary delights! Plus they have specialized menus on Wednesday nights with exotic (no not endangered species) meats and veggies, changing it up and keeping it real! Go! Go now! (If it's after 11 am!) More...
Very nice place. Tacos and salsas were good. Tacos are a reasonable size. It was a little slow getting in and ordering, but a nice casual environment, once you ordered and found a seat. Friday nights get busy.
It was a very good place to have a great lunch with family. Can't wait to go again it worth it the food is also great love those beans and rice. Thanks again
Must Visit restaurant in Tucson! One of my favs
Great food and atmosphere.
Super delikates Essen ...ganz lecker Bier
Recommended by a friend and everything he said it was. REALLY good street tacos. Definitely a be-back.
This was the 1st time I have ever been here and I'm definitely going back, given the opportunity!! Staff was friendly and attentive, the food was great. I had the chipotle pulled pork tacos, pork was flavorful and tender. I have to say, they were the best tacos I have had in a really long time! I would definitely recommend giving this place a try! ❤ More...

Delicious tacos with unexpected little twists. Great beer selection too!
This fun taco joint has a great vibe, order at the cashier and they bring them to you table, pick up your beers and maragritas at the bar... or did they bring them to the table? Be sure to try the cotton candy and candied dry fruit. More...
I feel like they have something for everyone. This is my new favorite taco place! I get ususually get "Macho Carne Asada Light Tacos". Their salsas are all unique and flavorful. Their ordering and seating arrangement is little strange but fun. Try it! More...
good food, friendly staff. I've been here a few times and have waited up to an hour for two tacos on multiple occasions. wish they got food out faster but it tastes good and I guess that's the most important part More...
A local favorite. Order inside at the front counter, If the weather is at all nice, eat and drink on the porch.
Trendy and creative taco restaurant. Very busy on Friday nights. Nice selection of taco options and salsas. Prices are reasonable.
Great authentic food.

Out of this world tacos, try the southern barbeque pork and the green Chile pork

Hands down the best place to get tacos and out of this world salsa options in Tucson. Chef Maria is incredibly inventive and authentic in her cooking styles and choices. As a vegetarian, I love that she has several taco options available to me and can alter them to be vegan fairly easily for my out of town guests. Maria makes new salsas daily and you won't find anywhere making them with more creative ingredients. You haven't really eaten salsa until you've been to Boca! More...
Love the Tacos and beer selections.
Really good tacos and salsas. However, the service is slow, took almost 30 mins for 4 tacos.
Fun environment with marvelous tacos. Great happy hour deals on margaritas. The taco dog with the pork and beans was a favorite.
Love this place! Dog friendly they have doggie treats for your dog and they give them a water bowl. I even ordered my dog a plain steak taco! He loved it. Their food is awesomely delicious!! The chief makes fresh salsa everyday so good. The chicken tacos are delish. VERY Friendly! I recommend this place for everyone! The price is good also. More...
Fish tacos are amazing! Great margaritas and service. Fun atmosphere. Variety of unique and delicious salsas. Highly recommend
I've been going here for years, starting at their speedway location. The food is amazing, I especially love the taco dog and Mar Y Tierra taco. The staff is always so friendly. The margaritas are super stout :) Anytime I bring family and friends here from out of state they always insist on coming back the next time they visit. More...
Absolutely, without question, one of Tucson's best restaurants. If you're looking for super-traditional, cheap, and good Mexican fare, check out BK's or Pico de Gallo. If you want creative, delicious, Mexican-inspired (and still pretty cheap) culinary creations come to Boca Taco. Their salsas change daily and are to-die-for, ranging from mild and sweet to oily to eye-wateringly spicy, using virtually any ingredient you can think of. The veg taco selections are amazing and make me cry - so clearly put together by someone who thinks being a vegetarian is a real thing. All of them are good but my absolute favorite is the honey mustard tofu - like I said, this is not where you come if you want your average, "authentic" tacos. I love the decor, the prices (not taqueria-cheap but you can eat a ton for $10), the people, the bike parking right outside the front door. This is on our standard 24-hour Tour of Tucson when friends come to visit. I also want to buy the cool globe lights they have to put in the kitchen I'm remodeling. Could some helpful person tell me where they came from? More...
Boca is awesome for an affordable and tasty meal! It's right on 4th ave so during week nights you can just grab a meter. A calm environment to eat, drink & enjoy company with friends. Randomly, I love their quesadillas! Pro tip, sit at the bar! More...
Awesome tacos + Happy hour. Staff is also very friendly!!! Cool place to have drinks.
Very friendly and good atmosphere. They sponsored a meet and greet with the Tucson Police officers from there area.
Seems like other reviewers had a similar issue of slow service. The cashier was fine. Our chips and salsas ended being delivered by the cook. Eventually the tacos were ready.Food was good. The mole could have had a little more kick. The banana-based salsa was different. Tasty, but different. Good choice for those who can't do tomatoes. More...
Just perfect tacos and servuce
I had the sirloin taco, $4, it was tasty, medium rare. All food comes with 5 exotic sauces, had an out of the way table, our waitress often did not notice us trying to flag her down. Overall satified.
Super authentic taste!!
Delicious! It is crowded but worth the wait. Loved the tacos and fresh salsa. Good beer specials (if you don't mind a can) as well. Indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar. Will definitely go back, great addition to the downtown scene. More...
Best Mexican food I have ever had. Yes I said it. Yes your abuelita makes awesome tortas, and I'm sure everyone's family carne asada is fantastic... but Chef Maria and staff have crafted something that I crave the minute I leave the door until I can come back again. A true Tucson treasure. More...
Creative menu Amazing salsa
The food is great. It's a great variation on the traditional street taco and the flavors are fantastic. The only problems are just the lack of direction when you enter. We were unaware of how to order, where the water was, and the whole thing could have been solved with a host or a better set of signs. More...
Yummy tacos, good beer selection, nice patio, and really friendly service! The chips and guac are huge.
Best tacos you'll ever have the staff is great and Maria the owner is the coolest ever
Food was delicious a little too costly for me to do amon a regular basis. But it was reasonable. It was a friday night so it was a little mire hectic than i prefer. But the food came wuick enough abd the owner/chef came around introduced herself and gave each table slice of from her sons 10th birthday celebration. So that was nicw. More...
Best taco place in Tucson, by far! The chef is so creative, and each time you go, the facility is approachable, the food is tasty, but you know you're getting something interesting and unique. Highly recommended!
Never been there
Happy hour tacos, yum!
Great food at a great price.

Lots of excellent choices. The chips are bright red and delicious. The salsas are on point.
Tasty food, a little different. Almost all fillings contain some sort of cabbage. If you order tacos, they are small - about 4" in diameter.
