Being able to first visualize the picture in your mind before ever clicking the shutter.

Who their target audience is, what the video/photograph's message will be then specifics such as deadline, locations etc..

That for the most part it does not feel like work.

To be more in control of my own branding and style. Freedom to choose what kind of projects I take on.
