Food was fine dinning not just a lunch bistro. Public parking across the street just a 100 ft south. Patio area out front where you can bring the dog. Service was fast very kind and knowledgeable. We celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary here tonight!  The service was fantastic!  The wine pours are generous!  We started with the pickled beet salad.  I am not a goat cheese fan, but this goat cheese was Fantastic!  I had the butternut squash ravioli and my husband had the sausage and mussel fettuccine.  Both were wonderful.  Finished with the creme brûlée.  Definitely a do over!!  Check this place out!! If you've ever been to, and love, Carson's in Grants Pass, OR then you will no doubt love the Black Trumpet Bistro (BTB) in Brookings, OR. The food here is simply terrific and the pricing is reasonable for finer dining. At this time they are only open for dinner and evenings...so don't expect to go here for lunch. My wife and I have been eating at the Trumpet ever since it opened and have never been disappointed with the super high quality food that they offer. One never knows what might be Special(s) of the Day or what varieties of homemade soups there will be.On this particular evening, we like to eat about 4:00 when it is not too crowded, we started off with the tomato bisque with goat cheese. I am always leery of goat cheese but this soup was fantastic! Then we proceeded to the escargot which is always one of our favorites, soak up the buttery sauce with their delicious bread. Something we had never tried before but was an excellent taste treat was the chili-lime prawns, recommended for a repeat another time. This was followed by the warm spinach salad which is always superb and last but not least was the fabulous homemade lasagna--another first time for us, also to be repeated! Very cheesy and yummy, attractively cooked and served in it own dish, very hot and bubbly...The full service bar pours excellent drinks and there is a very ample selection of beer. Also there is a quite extensive wine list.Needless to say, after this meal we opted out of dessert although there is a great dessert selection, tiramisu is always one of our favorites. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating, the chef loves to come to the tables and chat about the food and answer questions.We always try to go to Black Trumpet when out of town guests are visiting and our guests are always impressed with what they get! Just had a late lunch at Black Trumpet Bistro. It was amazing! My husband had the lasagna, and I had the chicken marsala. They did a great job making sure my meal did not have any dairy in it, and it was fabulous ! If we lived here we would eat there all the time! Both of us would give the service and food five stars! Our new favorite place to eat, when visiting Brookings. I had the Chicken Caprese sandwich, which I loved, and would order again. My husband had the Maple Bacon Cheddar Angus Burger, which he enjoyed. Meals came with pasta salad which was tasty. My girls had grilled cheese. Black Trumpet Bistro in Brookings Oregon was a wonderful experience for Toni and me. We were recommended by my sister in law in Medford. We started off with a wonderful Beet Salad and split an Entree of Fish Grilled Shrimp, tossed in fresh homemade fettuccini made on the premises. We ordered the lasagna and the beef stroganoff. Both were very good. Â The noodles tasted like homemade. The beef stroganoff had fresh mushrooms, Â a light to medium sauce and tender beef. The lasagna was served in a large ramekin. Â It didn't have a lot of tomato sauce in it. Â There was a huge amount of cheese along with noodles. Â We had enough to take home for lunch the next day.
