Stopped in a couple days ago while in SLC for work. I had never tried Bhutanese food and very excitedly ordered the ema datshi. The owner and his daughters were great, they seemed surprised that I ordered Bhutanese food (they also serve a lot of food that you'd find on Indian restaurant menus). I also got the bhatura which tasted quite similar to fried dough.The food was great, they even brought be extra rice and some really good hot sauce. We love this place! Â We have been here 5+ times both for the lunch buffet and dinner. Â The servers (2 sisters) are very sweet and helpful with menu choices. The food is always delicious and probably spiced which has been a challenge as mine is mild and his is always spicy-usually at least one dish is too spicy or too mild but not here!Also, love that they offer a vegan/vegetarian lunch buffet on Thursdays! This restaurant is run by one family and both sisters and their father are incredibly nice people. They always come ask us how we like our food and we end up chatting for a while. The food is amazing whether you order good old Tikka Masala or one of the Bhutanese specialties that are less known. I also love their saag (spinach meal) that is so full of flavor! Before, I ordered saag in other places and it was often quite bland and not too interesting. Not the case in Bhutan House. We love coming back and we come back often! More...

Intense flavors, each dish was unique, everything cooked well (nothing dry or bland or watered down). The cheese Naan had cheese threads as you brok it apart, there were large chunks of chicken in the chicken biryani, the special Naan had diverse flavor, and the chili vegetable momos were mild inside but the accompanying sauce was an explosion. Kids tried everything but their favorites were the momos and Naan.This is our second visit, but the first was over a year ago. Excellent buffet! Just $9.99 for extremely good food and friendly staff. We visited on a Saturday for lunch around 11:30 am. It was a couple people sitting and enjoying the buffet already. The owner keep the buffet very well by bringing food constantly and a few times he went to our table to refill our glasses. The waitress, a young girl, was extremely nice and attentive. They both treated my daughter with kindness. The buffet selection had plenty to choose from, white rice or fried rice, around 6 veggies options and 6 meat options, Naan, fried bread and rice pudding for dessert. I highly recommend this place!
