I believe everyone has the capacity to heal, and just as each of our individual immune systems heal differently, so too do our mental health “systems” heal in varying individual ways. Trying to force one path, one way, the same way with every human being, just does not work.

I believe that emotional healing is a path of personal choices, and combining therapy with complementary resources like yoga, mindfulness based tools, meditation, body/energy work, to list a few, can enhance the therapeutic process and result in profound emotional growth.
I come from the perspective that most of us have unhealed parts of ourselves that at some point require our attention in order to achieve more peace in our lives. What I have found to be true both personally and professionally is that pain is inevitable and simultaneously there exists a very high potential for less suffering.
