Best Place was the PERFECT place to have our wedding! We had our wedding this September in the Captain's Courtyard, Corner and the Blue Ribbon Hall. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how gorgeous and unique the venue was. It was the perfect size for our group of 100. The entire staff was so incredible to work with. Sarah did a phenomenal job helping us plan for the big day. The bartenders were on point - we had special ordered a specific beer through their beverage manager the week before the wedding and before my husband could order a drink, the bartender brought him his favorite beer - talk about hospitality! Awesome tour with a little bit of history of the Milwaukee brewing industry, a walk through the beer halls, and rooms that used to make up the floor of the offices at the Pabst brewing company. A few included pours! A photo op with King Gambrinus! And a cool little gift shop to help trick out the man cave, with memorabilia including glasses, steins, posters, trays, mirrors, tap handles, and T-shirts. More...

Very interesting and informative tour. I never knew of the history of PBR and was not disappointed in the least. I would highly suggest this tour to anyone.

I cannot say enough nice things about Sarah at the Best Place and how she helped us plan the perfect wedding. When my husband and I were planning our wedding, finding a historical Milwaukee venue was a top priority. I've always dreamed of hosting my wedding at the Best Place and Sarah and team were instrumental in making our dreams come true. We hosted both our ceremony and reception in the Great Hall with a partial room flip while our guests enjoyed the cocktail hour in the Speakeasy downstairs. All areas of the venue were clean, the bars were well-staffed and stocked, and the crew on-site was ready to jump in and assist when needed. If you're looking to host your wedding in a venue with rich history, beautiful architecture and is quintessential Milwaukee, this is it! Thanks again to Sarah and her incredible team for making our wedding a dream-come-true! More...

Before there was the Deer District there was the Beer District. Best Place at the Pabst Brewery is a must for locals and visitors. Prost!

Best Place was THE best place to have our perfect wedding day! Sarah was so helpful from the beginning answering any questions in a timely manner and on the day of she helped to make everything run smoothly. Our bartenders were amazing and kept everyone with drinks in hand all night even though the bar never slowed down! The venue is truly beautiful--we got married in the courtyard and danced the night away out there too--if you're thinking about dancing outside here, DO IT, you won't regret it! SO beautiful! Our dinner was in Blue Ribbon Hall which has a cool historical vibe that didn't need much decorating at all. The entire experience was perfect and everyone kept telling us how much they loved the venue! I would highly recommend Best Place to anyone and we cannot wait for our next excuse to visit. More...

We really enjoyed our tour to Best Place. We had already learned about the history of Captain Pabst and his influence on the history of Milwaukee through our other tours in Milwaukee. What I loved about this tour was not only did you learn about why Pabst was such a big part of Milwaukee, but also you learned of the decline of the Pabst brewery and it's revitalization. More...

Of the literally hundreds of brewery tours I have been on this is by far the best. They spend 45 seconds on how beer is brewed and the rest spent on the history of Pabst and the Milwaukee beer scene. You get to see untouched Pabst history along with plenty of meticulously restored Pabst history. One free beer is kind of a drag but you can buy unlimited PBR’s for $3 ea in the coolest original Pabst hospitality room. More...

Pabst and Milwaukee go hand in hand. You see the name pabst all throughout the city. This is their historical site, one of the orginal buildings. The actual brewery was not doing tours the day we came so we stopped by here.Small street meter parking lot right in front, $1.50 per hour. So much beer history in these walls. Did not do the tour since we were low on time but it onlys costs $8.The building is a great site. The castle design is wonderful. Grab a pint, sit in the patio, and soak all the history in,All pints are $5. Gift shop is cool. Expensive but they have some good stuff. More...

We had been wanting to come to the tasting room and take a tour for awhile. The tasting room was closed so we decided to start with the tour. So glad we did !! And so glad these buildings were saved. It would have been sinful to tear this history down. The buildings are gorgeous. The tour informative and fun. Don't skip it . It's worth the hour ! More...

I love this place. Such a historic location and inspiring that it stayed open even after Pabst closed in Milwaukee in 1997. It is not the centerpiece of this new amazing neighborhood. Definitely a must see for anyone visiting the area. The building dates back to the 1800s. The inside is like walking into a time machine. Lots of great event. I've done Superbowl parties here. Last week I went to a swing dancing night. So great. More...

Stopped in by chance on our way to the Bucks game. Wasn't sure what we were walking into but it was a pleasant surprise. Inside the renovated church, we found a old style tap room. Picnic style tables line the floor with a stage for weekly music and comedy acts (there is a $15 cover charge here after 8:30).They have a nice selection of tap and bottled beer and some mixed drinks. There's also a small food menu of burgers, sandwiches, and even a Friday night fish fry.All orders, food and drink, are taken at the bar. No table service.Everyone in our party tried the perch fry. Good portions, included was fries, coleslaw, rye bread, and tartar sauce. Fries were excellent, well seasoned and hearty cut. Coleslaw was vinegar based, not creamy. Served on a tin tray. More...
