I had one of the best rib-eye, outstanding steak. I will be back, this place is great. It’s difficult to find this kind of place anymore, the whole food/restaurant business as been take over by tasteless restaurant chains.

I had a truly great meal tonight at Benjamin's Restaurant even though I sat on the deck in order to hear the band. This is the first time in a long time that I ordered an entree off the specials menu and I was not disappointed in the Honey-Ginger Teriyaki Glazed Ahi Tuna ($21) with baked potato and vegetable medley. What they lack in presentation they more than make up for in value based on that portion of tuna. A glass of the house Pinot Grigio ($6) is the biggest pour in town, but I still drank two. The Chocolate Eclair in a bowl ($6) dessert was delicious and filling. The total was $44.27. More...

I can’t say enough good about this place!! Let’s start backwards as it deserves to be noted. Mama Sue’s desserts. Everything! !!Everything is good, but if you had to whittle it down to 1 (or 2) then try the Dulce de leche cake or the Eclair cake. So you should start with an appetizer and in my book there’s only one: Redneck Nachos Y’all. Yeeehaw! Pulled pork on house made chips with fresh jalapeños and cheese and BBQ sauce. Nuff said. Always always always get the Wagyu Ribeye when it’s on the specials menu. But the pork platter has become one of my favorites and I drool as I write this. So good. And salads? They even make lettuce something you crave during the day. How? Smoked meat and pimento cheese. That’s how. And portions are ample. Like, feast like a king and enjoy for lunch tomorrow. Which leads us back to desserts. The cheesecakes and vanilla bean creme brûlée are a great (close) second if you don’t love desserts that angels themselves crafted in heaven. If you haven’t eaten here, you are missing out on fabulous food in a super chill environment like you’re at your family’s house. Go. Now. More...

I went to Benjamin's Restaurant Friday night after receiving some potentially good news about my benefits and went a little cray cray. The Maine Pemaquid oysters ($14), broiled w/ Champagne, Parmesan & Arugula, were huge and amazing. The Tito's Handmade Vodka martini ($10.31) with Gorgonzola-stuffed olives ($1) was also on point, although a bit pricey compared to other restaurants. Service was impeccable as usual.
