We walked over to book a room in person for Venetian night. They happily showed us a room and we picked a room 1 floor up with a great view. When we checked in the room we were given it had a view totally blocked from the tree that we wanted to stay away from! Thankfully though they were amazing and moved us to the most awesome room! Worked much better for us anyway and we had the best view for the boat parade and fireworks! We love the room and now will always try to request that room. Loved the whirlpool tub in the room and the showers were awesome. Also fit in time for the swimming pool and hot tub that were clean and inviting! Very clean and in the heart of down town. Literally THE BEST check in I have had at a hotel. Harlan James the front desk manager had keys in our  hands and directed right to our room at 530 on a Friday in under 2 minutes. We will be back.

Headed to Lake Geneva for a Friday overnight. The check-in staff at Bella Vista Suites was friendly and efficient. They were helpful with dinner recommendations and also booked time at the Heartland Spa for the following morning. Our suite was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The layout was a little awkward but not uncomfortable. No nightstand on one side of the king bed and TVs were off to the sides of the rooms but really, who cares? The hotel's common areas were immaculate and very nice. Its just a short walk to downtown Lake Geneva and the hotel's private pier on the lake is only across the street. All in all a fantastic stay. This is my first visit to Lake Geneva . The. Bella Visra Suites is very clean and a great location. The room is very nice and spacious. The shower head is to die for and most of all the staff is friendly and helpful. I am so pleased that my husband and I celebrated our birthdays here. My husband and I have stayed in the past, so we knew what to expect. We choose the Bella Vista Suites for the view of the lake, the ability to walk to town and the spaciousness of the suite.  This time our room was available prior to the check in time which was a nice surprise. We were in room #301 which is on the outside corner, with a private balcony off the living room. The décor is now dated and worn with the striped damask wallpaper, mirrors and brass. The bathroom has mirrors on 3 walls...way too much mirror. The hallway carpet and sofa are very contemporary and do not work with the rest of the décor. The mini fridge is nice and allowed to keep our wine, cheese and fruit cold. The ice machine was out of order and a man from the front desk had to take me to a room (stacked with tons of dirty dishes, yuck!!!) where there was another ice machine. The hotel needs a complete over haul. That said, we will stay again for the view, the space and the walking distance to town. More...

I stayed here 2 nights with my husband back in June and am finally writing a review. I really liked this hotel! Our room was very roomy and clean and best of all, it had a balcony overlooking Lake Geneva. He spent a few extra dollars (not sure how many) for the Champagne and Chocolates package. It was really romantic because they scattered rose petals all over the room and there was a chilled bottle of champagne and chocolate truffles waiting for us. We sat out on the balcony and downed the whole bottle! LOL The best part of the stay was the couples massage my husband booked for us. He never had a massage before so he really liked it. I thought mine was so good that I booked a reiki session for the next morning and it was really cool! I thought their spa was wonderful and I would go back just for that.  We also tried out the sauna room but I'm not really into heat. I don't know if it was the massage or the really comfy king sized bed but I slept really well there!There are a couple of negatives that kept this from being 5 stars but they are really minor. I wish they had a luggage rack or small table in the room for me to put my suitcase on. I had to put it on the floor. There was a nice, big dresser in the room but I didn't want to unpack everything for just 2 nights. Also, we did have to wait a few minutes when we got there for someone to check us in at the front desk. It was a little awkward. Oh, and when we did check in I was happy to see they had a little hospitality area with coffee and tea - but both were empty. Overall, I had a very relaxing time and I would definitely go back again - especially for the spa! More...

NOTE: Please also see the pictures that I have added. We had our 130 people July 4th wedding ceremony (outdoor) and reception (indoor) and boy, what can I say, it was an amazing experience! We are so glad to have chosen this place to share our big day with.During our search for the perfect venue, we have looked at so many places. All the places are either too expensive, decor outdated, too far from the downtown area, or not close enough to the lake. One of our major criteria was close to the lake and being able to see the July 4th fireworks while staying within our budget.Before visiting Bella Vista, I admit we were a bit skeptical. We were not able to find any reviews nor pictures about this venue. However, we decided to visit nonetheless (doesn't hurt, eh?) Bella Vista is located right in the heart of Lake Geneva downtown, on the lake shore. When we first came in, we were greeted by Kim, who is a lovely lady. Do keep in mind that her job is only to sell you the place and make sure everything is setup. You, as the bride/groom are responsible for your own coordination, meaning event planning and such, which we were fully aware of. She is also very responsive with her communication.The decor is vintage with a little bed and breakfast feeling. To most people, they could be taken aback how outdated it looks. However, I can ensure, there are ways around it. With the price, you are basically buying the amazing lake view and the location.  If you have a DJ, I highly recommend doing uplighting, because it transforms the space tremendously. (See pictures)The day of, everything was running really smoothly. Kim and Alethea were so accommodating, they made sure my husband and I were well fed during our hectic day. Even during the fireworks while we were sitting outside, Kim offered to get us gelato and we were so touched.Here are a few tips:- If you have both outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, the chairs they use will be the white garden chairs. However, you can upgrade to chivari chairs, and trust me, it's worth it. - The space was actually really comfortable for 130 people wedding, though supposedly they can go to 175. They have a koi pond with seating space, which allows people to sit and hangout. - We used BB's Best DJ Service and they have worked at Bella Vista before. Their uplighting package is highly recommended : bbsbest.comThis place needs more love and it's a gem. We've had a family reunion planned to Lake Geneva. Had great experience with the hotel, great location and the lakefront view is beautiful. Staff and Scott, the front office manager was accommodating in issuing a refund and help to reschedule when my brother in law broke his foot. The Bella Vista was as good as advertised. Staff was friendly. Barkeep downstairs was great. Clean room. Full kitchen, two TVs, a big ass bed and a balcony. They even had the whirlpool bathtub in the bedroom right next to the bed to help initiate sweet, sweet love. My only complaint is that the Internet was terrible. It felt like the old days of AOL on dial-up.Nice location overlooking the lake too. I'd definitely stay here again. We booked this hotel for a one night getaway.  The hotel and room met our expectations, but this is not overally fancy or luxurious.  The prices seemed a bit steep for off-season in December.  The room layout was a bit awkward with a lot of wasted space and there was no door on the full bath.  Also, the heating system in the room seemed inadequate.  The one unit was in the bedroom, but if you were in the living room it was cool.  The service at the hotel was very friendly. We got massages in the spa which is small, but on-site so very convenient.  Also, we stopped by the bar after getting back from dinner and enjoyed a drink.  The bartender was very chatty and there weren't many people in the bar.  The bar looks out toward the lake, so it would be very nice during busier times.  Overall I would recommend this hotel as it is a good location and the few negatives are enough to not stay there. We booked our rooms kind of late as it was a last minute trip and we were looking for something relatively reasonably priced, clean, nice and within walking distance to everything.  We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel.  The rooms are all two room suites so you enter into a sitting room with couch, desk kitchen area and big TV.  The bedroom is comfortable and also has a large television.  The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating, we were there for our anniversary and were given complimentary drinks, well wishes and great recommendations on restaurants, etc.  I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back. This is a gorgeous hotel. All the rooms are suites, and some of them have an amazing view of Lake Geneva from the balcony. The rooms were impeccably clean, and my smaller suite had 2 televisions. The larger rooms include almost a full kitchen and fireplace. Really nothing at all to complain about, although an outdoor pool would have been nice (the pool was indoors). More...

This is really a striking property right on the water at Lake Geneva. Beautiful views, and lots of great detail. It's also right next to Gilbert's, good fine dining. Worth a look.
