Awesome! We have been to the Bavaros downtown Tampa and yesterday the one in St Petersburg... it is the BEST PIZZA AND PASTA south of New Jersey ! Everything there is Fabulous and I can't wait until the one in Sarasota opens near where we live ! It is worth the drive to St Pete or Tampa if you are from the New Jersey New York area More...

My wife and I along with our 3 kids had a fabulous dinner here on New Year’s Eve. We have been to Bavaro’s a number of times over the past year and the pizza and pasta are always great. What made our last dinner even better were the specials. I had the scallop and crispy prosciutto pasta which was incredible. My wife had the short rib with polenta which was even better. We love Bavaros. We sit outside and enjoy the cool urban vibe. Sweet guitar sound and e celiwvt service. We each had the arugula salad with figs and blue cheese and the homemade ravioli with beef shanks. We ended the evening with shared cannoli and espresso. Can’t wait to go back! Started off brunch with a lover’s which is a delicious drink that has an Italian liquor called Cappelletti along with grapefruit cordial and Prosecco. Beautiful color and very tasty!

I had to try the Italian spin on shrimp and grits and it is Amazing!!! Slightly spicy with a lovely tomato cream sauce over Lobster polenta.
This is a truly mouthwatering spin on this long time favorite.

My Husband wasn’t feeling too adventurous today so he was able to order some scrambled eggs and pancetta off the little ala carte items.

We will definitely be returning so I can try some of the other fascinating brunch offerings.

It's hard to choose one item. So I recommend the Chianti with an antipasto. Then move to the wonderful rigatoni with shrimp, more wine. ...then the pizza. More wine...and the best cannoli I have ever had to end the meal with. Then you'll take a nap. They treat you like family and everything is so good. It's quite a nice show too. It is our Wednesday spot. Last night was an example of what makes this restaurant a must visit in St. Pete. The owner got up from a family event to help get food out the patrons. Do not see that much anymore. Food was delicious. I asked for a deviation from the menu and the chef did not blink an eye and my pasta was great. Came in for pizza and a salad and left incredibly surprised! First of all, Dalia was awesome and didn't miss a beat! Stellar service! The food....OMG! I'm from St Louis, MO, and love pizza. I had no idea anybody in Florida would know how to make a good pizza, but Bavaro's nailed it! Incredible! And the Mediterranean salad was also delicious. 5 stars and a return visit soon!
