So this is a long time coming as I thought I gave a review last year when Harvey trained our bulldog. Not gonna lie, the training seemed unorthodox, to say the least. Bottom line is, Harvey and his methods resulted in an immediate change in our dog’s behavior. More than a year later and with continuing his methods, our dog is a completely different animal. Never thought we’d see the day. Oh, and I know it’s expensive BUT, Harvey came out again and again at our request to assist us further, not to mention all the texting and calling. Ours is a stubborn one but Harvey was very patient. You get what you pay for and his service is beyond measure. I’m very happy with the progress I have seen in my dog, Bleu, since working with Harvey. We’ve been to “training classes” before and never had results like this. Our initial meeting with Harvey was only a few hours and I wasn’t sure how that would fix all the concerns we had, but with continued practice with Bleu, it really has!Bleu had many problems from jumping when meeting new people, pulling while walking on a leash, running while going up and down stairs, anxiety around other dogs & believing he had to protect me from everything while outside on our walks. The change in his behavior in the last month has been incredible, even the staff at our vets office commented on how much better he is doing. He no longer pulls on his walks, he slowly walks down stairs now and is much more relaxed when encountering other dogs. He has learned to trust me so he doesn’t have to be on high alert when we go out for walks. One of the best things about the training was that Harvey explained dog behavior and how some of the things I was doing was actually encouraging Bleus anxiety and fear. We adopted Max, a black pit bull. He is dog aggressive and has been in several fights with our other three dogs. While we could never give him up, the only solution we could find was to keep them separate. Well - accidents happen and they inevitably get out so more fights ensue. We’ve spent plenty of money on vet visits.During the last one we were given Bark Busters as an option to help us with our situation. They came highly recommended. We called and were so fortunate to have been introduced to Harvey. After his first visit we noticed a marked improvement. With three pit bulls and an old English bulldog we had our hands full. Harvey has been very patient with us working with all of our dogs different personalities. Maxwell is our 27 lb. puggle (rescue), who was severely beaten and almost dead when I found him. After years of using different training methods to help with our dogs aggressive behavior and his “king-of-the-castle” mentality, we finally came across Bark Busters. We used Bark Busters first while living in Stamford, CT - Our trainer was great and showed us new techniques how to train and talk (yes, I said talk) to our dog and bring him to a level of trust with us. We moved to the Orlando area and while prepping for the move, we lost control over Maxwells behavior again. Our trainer advised us that no matter where we lived, Bark Busters would be there to help. After we got settled into our new place, we were put in contact with Harvey, the Bark Buster expert in the Central Florida area. Harvey worked with us for hours, showing us new tips and training methods. After still having some issues, Harvey actually put us in contact with one of the owners of Bark Busters. We further discussed Maxwells behavior and were given a few new tips and sent a toy that would help get Maxwell’s brain working. Since then Harvey has returned and continues to help us with Maxwell. To say we are pleased would be an understatement. I have had dogs all of my adult life, that were very well behaved. We brought a 10 week old boxer puppy into our home along with our 7 year old boxer that is by far the best dog I have ever met. We have never owned a puppy and knew it would be work. Had no idea how much work and enrolled a 13 week old puppy into another companies puppy training. Things were ok, but at 10 months, she hadn't progressed as we had hoped. So BarkBusters to the rescue. And Harvey now has a special place in our pack and our hearts. It is so well worth the investment. I wish we had called sooner. After 1 training session we were amazed and friends that came over were astonished and kept saying "she's not the same dog". We have learned the skills needed to have a calm happy pack. I would highly recommend using Harv as your trainer. We were having small issues with our dog ex: leash aggression, out of control when someone knocked on the door. We explained all this to Harv and he gave us at least one exercise for each issue. He demonstrated how to work with her and then watched us so he could make sure we were doing it correctly. We had such a great time learning from Harvey. Our sweet Belgian Malinois had tendencies we were not able to handle on our own. After one visit with Harvey, we have resent the social structure and she is a changed dog. I can already tell that she is enjoying her life of "retirement" and not having to work to protect and control everything in the house all of the time. Harvey was patient, thorough and nonjudgmental which we really appreciated. I'd recommend Bark Busters to anyone who loves their dog dearly but is in need of real education and change! Harv/BarkBusters was recommended to us by our vet. We rescued a Neapolitan Mastiff who had been at 3 other placements before ours, and had never received any training or discipline. Although our puppy was great most of the time, the instances when he was naughty were exhausting, and we were actually getting hurt by his roughness and his desire to by the Alpha. Harv arrived for our first visit and spent almost 4 hrs with us. Harv listened to all of our concerns, was patient in training all of us, and was extremely knowledgeable, giving us strategies we could immediately implement with our puppy! Owner Harvey spent this afternoon with our two puppies that were in charge of the house. We have a beagle/lab puppy that constantly barks and bites. We had our first visit from Harv and saw a small improvement after the first day. We have been working with our dog for 2 weeks now and thought we hadn’t seen much improvement. On the 2nd visit it was like we had a new dog. Everyone was in awe over the change. After just one 3-hour session with Harv, my husband and I felt confident that we could properly train our three dogs. We saw an immediate improvement in their behavior, and with doing the exercises consistently, our dogs are continuing to improve. Harvey came to our home to train our 5-month old purebred Doberman puppy Leonidas. In just a few short hours we could not believe the behavioral changes we saw! No treats, no shock collars, no smacking/swatting/hitting or other cruelty. Just 100% Harvey and the Bark Busters method. Today, the day after Harvey’s first training session, Leo is still adjusting to his newfound rank in our family pack and still needs some correction, but in ALL areas he is much better behaved and much more calm. Harvey is a great guy and really took the time to listen and learn about all of our pain points with Leo before beginning the training session. In our case, the biting and whipping the leash from side to side - gone, jumping up on people - gone, pulling on the leash during walks - mostly gone, jumping up on patio furniture- gone (unless invited up), and many more issues (a full page of Harvey’s notes) - gone or mostly gone in just 24-hours! Harvey is great! I had a 3 hour training session with both of my dogs, Cain and Panda. Both of my dogs are bad on leash and are very reactive to other animals. There was so much progress after just the one session. I was given a training plan to follow for 5-6 weeks. The plan includes excercises that I do by myself with my dogs. The excercises only take about 15 minutes a day. I can't wait to see my dogs' progress after 6 weeks. More...

We have a 7year old rescue silky (barks excessively and messed in the house) and a 5month old silver lab( lots of energy). Before we called Bark Buster our house was in total chaos. Our lab was hard to walk and constantly wanted to sniff everything. We were amazed at what Harv did in the first training session. Harvey spent 3 hours at our house working with our two dogs on several things- barking at the front door, jumping on guests, begging for food, pulling while walking, and separation anxiety. We noticed an obvious difference in our dogs the very next day. Instead of running into the food pantry for their food, we are able to get them to sit and stay and wait for their food until we tell them to come. We are able to go on relaxing walks without fighting to keep them from pulling us. We were struggling with our sweet but rambunctious 6 month old puppy. I am so thankful that we called Bark Busters. Harvey was super informative, efficient and patient. Our puppy Finn has completely turned around. Every single issue we had problems with he addressed and taught us how to communicate in a way that Finn listened to us . My biggest issue was Finns constant pulling and jerking on the leash, at 55lbs ( and growing! ) it was becoming critical to my shoulder that we got this under control . Thank You Harv!!! Our 3 &1/2 year old rescue golden retriever Jack was beginning to develop aggressive behaviors. Situations such as when friends came to our front door, outside towards little dogs after being bitten by a tiny dog he tried to befriend, from there he even failed a temperament test at a doggie daycare due to aggressive towards other dogs his size which we had not witnessed until then. Then we found Harv Kaplan from Bark Busters. During the first visit within the 3 hours our dog was transformed into following directions, good behavior towards other dogs and calm when friends knocked on our door. Everyone is amazed at the transformation since. In my opinion Harv with Bark Busters is the best return on our investment I can imagine for behavioral modification. Jack my dog and I met Harv on January 8, 2019 for our first training session. Wow the information I learned about how to communicate with my pet was an eye-opening. Harv has the calmness, patience and professional kindness in teaching both of us our respective jobs. Then we began the practice. Within the 2+ hours my dog was transformed. Practice is without fear, choke collars, reprimands or harsh words etc to our dog. His change in behavior was amazing. Now there is no crowding / offensive barking at the front door when the door bell rings or someone knocks on the door. Leash walking became a fun time as Jack walked with me instead of pulling me and the best part is both Jack and I now enjoy our adventure as we practice all of the tasks Harv assigned us. I love Bark Busters training. With hard work and consistency, Harvey helped and guided me on how to control Duke in every aspect and any problems. He is very resourceful and helpful. He is always there to help you when you need a hand. My meetings with him was a great experience. It is worth every penny and I’m so happy with the results. (Husband’s opinion about the training) I am in the military and left for a year tour to Korea in August of 2018, and my wife spoke to me about bark busters and getting in touch with them to help with training for our dog Duke. Duke was a very hyper lab with some behavior issues, mostly he liked to jump on people to greet them as they came through the door and take shoes or anything really he saw laying around and run around the house with it. He was also very anxious when riding in a car, as soon as you would get him in the vehicle he would bark for about the first 30-45 mins of the ride and try to get up front to my wife or myself. My wife got in contact with bark busters in October and they put her in touch with Harvey, he is the trainer for the Brevard County in Florida. She started training with Harvey in mid October and when I came home on leave for the holidays I was shocked how well Duke was behaving. In just the 2-3 months, she have worked with Harvey and Duke was a completely different dog. Duke no longer greeted you at the front door by jumping on you, he would stay about mid way down the hall of our house and wait to be greeted. He also didn’t grab stuff for attention and run around the house with it, he was way more relaxed and seemed to be stress free. Once we got in the vehicle with Duke is when I realized the training was well worth every penny, Duke no longer barked and whines when in the vehicle and didn’t try to climb over the seats to get to us up in the front of the vehicle. Harvey and the Bark Busters methodology has made a night and day difference for us and our new puppy. It didn’t take long for me to realize, I’m the one who needed to be trained! Now that I can speak my pup’s language, we are communicating better than ever. BEFORE our session with Harv, Wookie wouldn’t stop biting our fingers, the couch, whatever she could.
