Terrible customer service. Mike was unprofessional every step of the way. I should have realized something was off when he would schedule Zoom calls but never be able to get his camera working. ..This is not a good sign for the owner of a company. When we raised concerns with Mike, he was defensive and aggressive and blamed the brides. He did not seek to reconcile or find solutions or even listen to us. At our wedding reception on April 15, 2023, the lights we rented from here flickered during the entire reception, the generator was inside the tent and loudly in the background of every video clip of speeches and dancing, and the generator eventually failed with an hour left in the reception, so all the lights went out. Also, we had reserved tent walls with windows and were given some with solid siding. B_entertained also charges set-up per item (as in they charge for every chair they unfold, napkin unloaded, etc). B_entertained failed to meet the normal expectations of tent permitting that any other rental company would have assisted us with. High hopes, high disappointments. I wish I’d seen a review that helped me dodge this bullet. If you are planning a wedding, choose someone else. We used to B_entertained to supply the rentals for our wedding reception at Egerton Park. As we prepared for the event, they made mistakes. For example, they sent us quotes that were triple the price of what they should have been, and which we would’ve had to pay if we hadn’t contested them. In every zoom meeting, Mike kept his camera off, which felt creepy and unprofessional. The company was also unclear about their cancellation and 72 hour policies. However, we took this in stride, and we were ready to let them work things out. We thought we were having a communicative experience with their customer service, and were hopeful that it would go well. At the reception, the generator shorted out one hour before the end of the event. We had paid for the larger generator, but it still gave out. Fortunately for us, our family and friends pulled together and used phone lights to keep the dancefloor lit. We brought our own speaker that was battery powered, and without it, the music would have stopped too. I’m very grateful we didn’t also hire a DJ through this company, as their equipment would have stopped working when the generator did. What was most disappointing to me was my experience when I called Mike to discuss this with him. I expressed my frustrations in the hopes that he could explain what happened. But Mike was combative, aggressive, and told me that it was our fault. When I made that phone call, I was prepared to write a review about how, even though the generator stopped working, they worked with us to find a solution. But Mike hung up on me before I had even finished talking. I hope the recording of the call will be made available to me. If he had dealt with me on the phone call kindly, then I would be writing a very different review. To begin with, honestly, I don't know where to start. Mike was super friendly when we spoke to him over the phone and for all of our planning. However, it was extremely difficult and frustrating communicating with him and his company. We asked for a quote for rentals which turned into over a month's worth of waiting for correspondence only to be told his warehouse didn't have what we wanted. It was very important for us to know the exact DJ who was going to be at our wedding and Mike told us on several occasions that it would in fact be him. We had several zoom meetings where we went over specific details (when to start/stop songs, how we would signal when to transition, etc) and then on our wedding day another DJ showed up who we had never met or spoken to. He was not given the appropriate information from Mike so he did the introductions out of order, played the wrong songs for our mother/son and father/daughter dances, and he was RUDE when we (as the bride and groom) went to him and asked him to play specific songs that were ON OUR PLAYLIST! Many of the songs that he selected on his own were songs that we had never even heard of before. We feel he did not do a good job of reading the crowd and playing things our guests would have wanted to hear. He played some version of the Electric Slide for what felt like 20 minutes. Overall we were not happy with the DJ services and we were really disappointed in Mike's lack of communication. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this vendor. My husband and I booked B entertained For Dj services for our wedding this past weekend. If I’m being fully candid we have to say that us and our family are feeling disappointed in the service we received. The songs played during the ceremony were incorrect and played at the wrong time, which is disappointing but we tried our best to be understanding. The announcements into our reception ended up being sloppy due to incorrect announcements and music placement, even though we spent hours filling out forms to make sure all the information was correct. Lastly during the reception we had made a playlist through our planning portal of songs we would like played and songs we asked to not be played. Unfortunately only very few of the songs we requested were played and the rest was music we did not ask for and even some songs we had on the do not play list were played. We understand people have off days and try to work with everyone but it seemed to be an unfortunate trend throughout the whole event, and for the amount of money we payed we do not feel as though we got the level that was expected. I was provided with excellent service from this company for a surprise birthday party. The DJ services and photo booth were in perfect order. (Thank you Mike and Matt). They came on time, the set up was clean and efficient and the employees were very professional and friendly. Your party is what you make it. As the purchaser you have a responsibility to work with your vendors to plan out exactly what you want. B Entertained gives you every opportunity to plan every detail of services. All of your planning must be done about one to two weeks before your event so they can set you up properly. If you are trying to make plans the day before your party they don’t have enough time to set you up and that is your own fault. We took on B_Entertained for our wedding day event, and they kept the music going and people dancing all night long! The DJ was at the perfect level of excitement for the group, we had a combination of fun dances and popular songs. The music quality was perfect, and they even brought lighting to make the dance mood under the tent even more fantastic! *edited at the second paragraph in response to owner reply We had the owner dj our ceremony and reception at Harkness State Park in Eolia Mansion. He stated that he was the "go to guy" for this venue, he's been there "a million times". We were charged extra for music in two locations, one indoors and one outdoors by the beach. Everything was discussed and confirmed the night before, and he still came unprepared to set up for the outdoor location because he didn't have a power supply. His only response? "You don't really need music for the ceremony". Our best man ran around to home depots to try and get a generator and had to purchase a 400 dollar battery powered speaker and had to use his own phone to play music. This delayed our whole wedding an hour so we had minimal time to eat and get photos. Then for the dancing he only played 4 songs. No offer to stay later to make up after his error or anything and he left an hour before our wedding ended. Absolute waste of $1.5k. You'll be better off with a 400 dollar speaker and spotify. Edit:. My biggest issue with our dj was attitude. We had rough time communicating with the venue because they sent us an email we didn't recieve to give details and only checked in the week leading up to the wedding. We had assumed we would send him spotify playlists, he'd bring equipment and microphones for speeches as we specified which he failed to do. I was left in the dark about the situation with the dj and lack of equipment until the next day. My husband said he would have completely understood being a little unprepared, even after the final phone call they shared the day before the wedding confirming the outdoor ceremony location separate from the reception. However when approached to see if anything could be done he replied "you don't really need music for the ceremony." With no attempt to come up with anything. The best man immediately jumped in and offered to rent a generator. Unable to get one our best man shelled out 400 dollars of his own to get a large bluetooth speaker. This took about an hour. 20-30 minutes into the best man trying to save the ceremony the dj off handedly mentioned that maybe he has a contact nearby that could help. My husband, fed up with his attitude and late idea, brushed him off. Even if he had gotten a generator or equipment within the next 5 minutes we could not proceed without the best man. After the ceremony my mother in law attempted to approach him to see what happened and what went wrong. He blew her off completely and only responded with "I'm under contract". He never provided a mic for the best man and MOH speechs, played our first dance, a parents dance, and two more songs before approaching us to say he was leaving. So our whole wedding was pushed back an hour and our reception lasted about 15 minutes. They offered no help the day off, but as soon as I, my mother, and mother in law wrote about our experiences they attempted to have them taken down. We should have demanded a refund at the ceremony, but based on our perception we assumed we just had a newbie and he could use the slack. Coming from the owner the attitude displayed was abysmal. We tried to keep in contact saying we would resolve this after the honeymoon since we'd be without wifi and data for 10 days. Instead of waiting they tried to remove/discredit our stories. This has further soured my opinion on this shoddy company. Every other vendor at eolia has been exceptional, especially the officiant: David Lang and cake baker: You Take The Cake. All we had wanted was a less frigid attitude from our dj and to either have him stay like 30 minutes later or refund us the time lost with the extra fee we had to pay for the seperate locations since he only had equipment in our reception. Absolutely a joy to work with. Professional, organized and really makes the planning process easy. They checked in with us several times leading up to the reception to make sure that no detail was missed and showed up ready to rock! Had the entire dance floor packed the whole night and even when there was a hiccup with the caterer Mike was able to keep the party moving like nothing happened. Their online portal system is so helpful when you are trying to plan all the different aspects of the reception and they really do have an extensive library of music that was perfect for the huge age range we had at the wedding. You guys rock! The energy that this company brings to the party is unreal. You can tell that Mike and his team are true professional. He listened to what we wanted (which was a banging party) and he delivered. Hands down! The music was on point, the selection beyond what we choose in the portal was sick and he mixed old and new with a flare that had even my grandma shaking her tail-feather! We had him also cover the ceremony and he provided a sound system and mic with the timing of each song being just perfect. Throughout the night Mike also checked in with us regularly to make sure we new what was coming up and made adjustments to the timeline he prepped for us as we needed but when the dance floor opened and the dance floor lights went on it was truly time to party! As mother of the groom and contributing monetary provider in hiring this DJ, I was extremely disappointed in the lack of care and customer service provided by Mike Bouchard. He arrived at an outdoor themed wedding with no generator, and no outdoor speakers. A microphone was requested on the pre-filled out form which never made an appearance. The best man ended up running all over CT to find a speaker for the exchange of vows, and the ceremony was held up an hour. The only reason the best man did this was because Mike said his warehouse was 1.5 hours away and there was nothing he could do. If he had even made an offer to correct the problem to start with, it would have showed some empathy. When I spoke to him all he said was, "They signed a contract". After the 5th time of him saying that I walked away. He never contacted the venue to confirm anything. People barely danced because there was no time, and music played loudly through the speeches at dinner. He was inattentive, unprepared, and uncaring. For $1,500.00, this was an EXTREME waste of money and detrimentally affected my son's wedding and stress levels. If he had applied as much energy into the actual wedding as he has in disputing my reviews, the wedding would have gone off without a hitch. Mike was absolutely amazing! Our dance floor never got empty. He listened to all our requests and checked with us before he did any of the special dances. He was patient when we got tied into conversations with guests too and didn’t nag us. It rained on our wedding day so our entire timeline got switched last minute and never once did Mike act bothered. He smiled at us and let us know he had it handled. I rented tents for my sister's drive by baby shower and they worked perfectly! There was rain in the morning. We were afraid we had to rescheule but the tents kept everything dry! They brought their new Hex style tent that they then added other tents to the ends which made for a really awesome floor plan. Their DJ was amazing with great music throughout at the proper volume.
