I'm Melvin Goodrum and I would like to make clear that I do not train clients whatsoever at Awaken Health & Fitness nor am I an employee of the company. The person who made these comments is either an idiot or delusional but obviously has some issue with me that doesn't have anything to do with this gym so please disregard his statements.

I have however trained at Awaken Health & Fitness and it utilizes Star-Tac equipment which is some of the best equipment around. All the equipment is brand new, none of it is used, day passes and monthly rates are reasonable and the facility is kept clean and tidy. If you're in visiting in the area whether its Sylva, Dillsboro, or Cherokee and you're wanting to get a good workout, I'd suggest you go here to get your training in. More...

I heard about this guy melvin Goodrum that trains people. I heard he strange and online he not a well like guy cause he says thing he isn't and so forth. My sister is moving there and looking for a gym and I don't her to go somewhere where this Melvin guy is. I will call around and find another gym. More...

Very friendly and knowlegable staff. Some of the best equipment on the market-York free weights, Star Trac cardio and Star Trac instinct machines. A great workout!
