I have been talking to Amy Jordan since fall of 2016.  She has been incredible with helping me cope with adjusting to my new major life changes and stresses (relocation, new job, etc. ) and I continue to go to her as I believe that she can help me be the best "me" I want to be, if that makes any sense.  In some ways, Amy is like a life coach. Just like in sports, a good coach helps athletes improve their game, see what they are doing well, while providing guidance on what they want/need to improve upon, without feeling judgement or pressure or even condemnation.  That's how I view Amy. Moreover, it's her easygoing approach and great listening skills that makes me feel comfortable to talk to her about anything.  She wants to help you find root causes but she also wants to see how you process things/events/emotions/triggers to help paint a full picture unique to you. Furthermore she is intelligent but also encompasses empathy, which are two strong characteristics that I would want in a therapist.  Amy's background and knowledge on a variety of approaches are quite impressive and nicely applied throughout sessions.  I would recommend her to any of my friends who are looking for an outside expert/perspective.  I think everyone could benefit with talking to Amy, no matter how minor or major the issue is.
