After meeting with a few different florists for my wedding I was feeling a defeated. Walking into Ashland Addison was a breath of fresh air! We had a modest budget but still wanted our arrangements to make a statement. The first florist I had gone to was expensive without providing anything really great. The second was more on budget but the arrangements were bland.Amy was the first to actually work with me on creating the best options with our budget. I ordered some flowers for Valentine's Day- I placed my order 10 days in advance to be certain that it would be good to go and they would have time to let me know if any thing wouldn't be available and I would have a chance to change my order. They called Monday to let me know that the originally pictured case was out of stock and that they would need to replace it - it still looked wonderful!!  And the customer service rep I spoke with was friendly and helpful! I had them delivered on the 13th to my girlfriend in Jefferson Park - they got to her at 10:30 AM and she said the delivery person was very nice, and wished her a happy Valentine's Day! The flowers for my Aunt's funeral were soo amazing and beautiful! Better than what I expected. I was flying in to Chicago from the West Coast with literally only a few minutes to spare before boarding my flight. I'm so glad to have received a photo of the arrangements prior to delivery as they did not match the order. We started with a Christmas arrangement on the website, but made specific changes to match the colors for a wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, half of the changes weren't taken into consideration. With the advanced photo, I had time to call customer service to have the order corrected. The team at Ashland Addison Florist was able to correct the issue quickly and deliver beautiful arrangements that served as centerpieces for the tables. Ashland Addison florist provided the floral arrangements and bouquets for my wedding. The flowers they delivered were beautiful, especially the floral arrangements during the reception. Amy, who was the contact person during my wedding, was very professional and patient. They delivered the flowers early on the day of the wedding. The only issue we had during the day of the wedding was that the vases they provided us for the head table were too small for the bouquets that we weren't able to use my bouquet and the bridesmaid bouquets as head table floral arrangements. This was really disappointing since our head table looked empty in our wedding pictures. Good thing we ordered some candles and vines to add to the head table decors so this compensated a little bit for the lack of flowers. This could have been easily avoided if they had tried to put the bouquets in the vases to make sure it fits before delivering them to the reception. I would still give Ashland Addison florist 3.5 stars for the prompt delivery, affordability and easy communication during our wedding preparation. More...

VERY PLEASED - I requested a lush bouquet of fall colors as a "get well soon" gift for a friend. I am located far from Chicago, and customer service representative was extremely helpful, patient, and clear about delivery pricing. The designer did an incredible job coordinating colors and flower types to create a gorgeous piece within my price range to cheer up my friend. Ordered a medium sized bouquet and lei for graduation and service, delivery, and quality of the flowers were amazing. Prices are fair and packaging is great. Would definitely recommend!

Wow. I have used Ashland Addison for personal stuff (apology flowers, Valetine's Day, just because, etc) and I doubt I will ever use a different florist in my life.
Ash/Add was truly amazing to deal with. We had a consultation with Ramsey who was absolutely amazing at taking random thoughts we had and stringing together a wonderful color/flower scheme. They can provide so many other services as well. Vintage-style farm table/chairs for the head table? Check. Massive mirror to use for seat assignments instead of those cheap paper cards? Check.

Also, we decided to go very minimalist with our wedding cake. After they decorated the table (and the cake itself) it looked like we had spent a couple thousand dollars more than we did.

They were so great about getting us the most bang for our buck and gave us great, personalized service. I can't recommend them enough. More...

There was a time early in the wedding planning process where I considered not having flowers for it. Flowers are typically expensive and I thought they were such a temporary piece to the wedding puzzle. But after some thought, I remembered my sister used Ashland Addison for her wedding 5 years ago, and after reviewing her photos, her arrangements from them (including bouquets, boutennieres, several corsages, flower girl items, a runner,  and centerpieces) really stood out. I'm a low maintenance gal, so when I met with Mathew, I told him our colors were black and gold, and he suggested white to offset. He asked if I had particular flowers in mind -- I didn't. Just that I didn't want a huge bouquet. I ultimately decided that beside my bouquet, I needed one other bouquet, a small blessed mother bouquet, 2 flower girl baskets, and 4 corsages. No boutennieres, since my husband didn't want one. The meeting lasted all of 10 minutes. I told Mathew my price point, and he said they could absolutely work with it. And they did. What arrived on the morning of our wedding were gorgeous arrangements. He sprayed some of the succulents and deep green leaves gold among white, soft pale pink, and dark purple/nearly black flowers. The bouquets were wrapped with black ribbon and a gold wire-- a clever, modern but classic, and beautiful touch. I like trusting professionals with their craft because it allowed me to focus on planning other aspects, and it paid off with Mathew and the team at Ashland Addison. We worked with Mathew Lahey for our wedding flowers and could not have been happier! As someone who doesn't know the first thing about flowers, Mat was very helpful in explaining different options and styles, showing us pictures and vases when we met with him in person, and was incredibly patient as we made our decision and changed our minds a dozen times. After providing us a draft of the floral order, we made several revisions to cut out certain things and add others. About a month before the wedding, we went back to see a complimentary sample of our centerpiece, where we made a few last minute changes again. On the day of our wedding, all of the bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpiece designs were absolutely gorgeous and perfectly matched our vision for the wedding decor. I used Ashland-Addison Florist the other day to send a gift to a friend in Prentice. I was so thrilled by my overall experience with them. I called to ask some questions; I wanted to send a TY bear without a bouquet of flowers. I quickly learned that there's a $20 minimum for delivery - and that my fee would be cheaper since I called on the phone vs. ordering online! #ProTipThey quickly rang up my bill for the bear, candy, and balloon - then took my details and sent me a photograph of the arrangement. If I could give them 6 stars I would! I just used them as a florist for my wedding this October and I cannot express how wonderful the whole process was. I initially thought of using a big name 'wholesale' florist in Chicago (name rhymes with leaves) and I experienced nothing but horrible customer service so I decided to try Ashland Addison on the hopes they fit my budget.  My call was answered by the owner who said he would have someone call me back within the hour. I not only got a phone call but also an email from Amy in the promised response time. Amy is phenomenal! Not once did she make me feel bad about my smallish budget. She scheduled an appointment with my mom and I and she listened to what I wanted and helped price something that worked perfectly for me. Ramsey and Monica came all the way to Pittsburgh to design and perfect a wedding for one of my brides at Wanderlust Weddings and Events. Ramsey was SO amazing down to the smallest details. He was the first person at the venue to set up the ceremony florals, arch and decor. From there he set up a gorgeous floral frame photo booth. Ramsey and Monica then took all of the brides decor and personal items and helped us girls at Wanderlust set up the most romantic floral and candlelit dream for the bride and groom! We were honored we had a chance to work with these amazing florist and designers... we wish they were closer to Pittsburgh and hope to work with them again, someday! More...
