What’s your signature dish?
Spinach Tortellini
Roasted garlic and spinach filled tortellini and tossed with sundried tomatoes in a tomato garlic cream sauce. Garnish with fresh parmesan cheese.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
The key ingredient to create the perfect menu for our clients is listening. The Arujai team has been trained to receive, understand, and execute the clients wants and needs. Our team of professionals also work one on one with the client to ensure a flawless menu.
What do you love most about your job?
The ability to use my creativity to make the event planning process simpler for the client.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Under the nurturing of my grandmother as a child I was taught the secrets of cooking and making cakes from scratch. I begin cooking full course meals for my family at the age of 14. One of my first meals was a tuna casserole for my parents wedding anniversary dinner.
In 2007 I was introduced to chef Ruth Law she was the culinary director at Bloomingdale’s in Oak Brook Illinois. This is where I began my entrance into the culinary world. Under this master chef I enhanced my culinary skills in cooking and baking.
My passion to continue to satisfy people’s palate is being realized through the birth of Arujai Catering , which was established in 2012.
