This is the best restaurant you can go to if you want Indian fusion food. If you want to splurge this is the place! We had the sweetest waitress! I wish I asked her her name!! Thirteen of us were there still we didn't have to wait for long! We had so many dishes from the menu. I was able to capture most of the things on my camera but there were a lot more!!!!!So these are a few that you should most definitely try: 1. Ghost chili chicken kebab: if spicy is your way, you'll be a die hard fan once you've tried this 2. Palak paneer: the freshest palak paneer I've had in my life! The flavor was one to remember 3. Kurkuri bhel: was an amazing snack!! 4. Butter chicken : was delicious  I would order that everytime I'm there!! And other items that we ordered were their okra, kofta, dal makhani, paratwala paneer, garlic and butter naan, chicken tikka masala, gobi manchurian and many more!!!For desserts we had their gulab jamuns!!!! Ah! If you're Indian, you know that the difference between the packaged and the ones we get from a halwai! These were the organic halwai flavored which was really amazing to find in the States! For drinks I had two shots of their tequila and it was the amount I needed for that kick! I would rate this 10/10! So yea, take my word for it! Do try it! More...

We wanted to visit an Indian fine dine restaurant which allows kids as well. We are Indians so impressing us with Indian food is difficult. We found the appetizers so tasty that we thought of just ordering different tasting plates for a meal. We had sunchoke chaat, kurkuri bhel, eggplant tacos as appetizers. All the plates were so beautiful and tasted so good that we forgot to take photos before decimating it. The appetizers were of good proportion for 2 adults and a kid. Next we ordered amritsari and onion kulcha with palak paneer and okra masala. Both the dishes surpassed our expectations and we took some leftovers. We ended the meal with coconut kheer and it felt like we were eating a delicious creamy icecream. Our server was Sebastian who was polite, quick and efficient. Definitely will recommend this restaurant to people. More...

Highly recommend. I've been to India and the authentic flavors are there- but they spin it with a modern twist, so it keeps things interesting. The palak paneer is great, the chicken chops and lamb curry are also incredible. Try the tempura cauliflower appetizer. The spices are on point, while the place is simple, the food steals the show. I think aRoqa is one of, if not the best Indian restaurant in the city with its refreshing take on traditional Indian cuisine, redefined and presented in a contemporary tapas style. Would thoroughly recommend the corn paddu and seekh kebab although my personal favourites are the habanero chicken tikka and tandoor grilled chicken chops which are out of this world. Be sure to order a fun cocktail or two, as they are quite unlike anything you've experienced before and perfectly complement the meal. The service is also first class- the waiters and front-of-house staff see to all your needs and are very friendly and accommodating. I shall be returning very soon! More...

I had a great experience at Aroqa. I went for my girlfriend's birthday with her family and we were satisfied with the experience. The lighting is really great. The atmosphere is classy and the lighting makes for a good ambience. The tables are sturdy and there is enough room to feel secluded as a group, which is something I appreciate.Being Indian, I do hold Indian food to a high standard which is why I would give this place a 4 star, but it could deserve a 5 star from someone else. There are options for every preference and taste and Indian food is great for vegetarian options. Those who can't take spice can also find a good dish and the spice lovers are also not disappointed. The paneer is well cooked, soft and flavourful. The chicken is also done well. I wasn't mindblown with the curry taste but it was solid, if a little unspectacular. The cocktails at this place are a speciality and ask the bartender for the steaming cocktail. I had spoken at length with the bartender (also the owner) at a previous time I came and he is very passionate about mixing drinks and serving a good food experience, and his passion definitely shows.Since the place says small plates I can't criticize the quantities, tho the mains could be a little more filling. Desserts are also great and they do a good job of presenting their food in an orderly and decorative manner. I would definitely recommend this place, be it for cocktails or dinner. More...

It was our first time at aRoqa and we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere . For a table of two we got two appetizers: the paneer and the sweet potato chat, both of which were good but we read such great reviews about the corn paddu so we were a bit disappointed that they didn't have it tonight. We got a vegetarian biryani and raita for the main course and it was delicious. We had some rosé wine as we didn't feel like trying cocktails and weren't disappointed. (Just a heads up: They aren't tied up with yelp anymore so they do not allow us to redeem the free glass of wine advertised on yelp for checking in) We had saved room for dessert as we were excited about trying them as they had wonderful reviews: we got the coconut kheer with mango ice cream and the daulat ki Chaat, both of which are served in bowls over dry ice so it looks very exciting and they both tasted great. I am giving this a 5-star review because that's what the food deserves. The design of the space was modern and sexy and everyone was friendly. But let's get to it! We had: mutton chops (or lamb chops), chicken biryani, palak paneer, roti, naan and ended with pistachio thing in a glass. The flavors really stand out, even if you get it spicy. It isn't just hot, it's flavorful too. The presentation of a little cart on wheels being lit on fire adds to the delight of the experience. And what kind of crack do you put in your raita? I say 'right on'! Here's the best part. I couldn't finish. Got full. Took home leftovers and reheated the next day. OMFG it got better. I'm so impressed with deft use of spices, everything properly cooked and on the table with standard waiting time for a busy place. The pistachio ice-cream-falooda-kulfi-whipped-cream dessert (not totally sure what the intended texture was) wasn't any of those things distinctly. I may have just preferred pistachio kulfi. It kind of tasted like birthday cake. Not a bad thing! I love birthday cake. Was slightly baffled, but really-it's dessert after an impressive meal and it tasted good to me. Thank you! Will be back. Will bring others. I'm coming for you, vindaloo momos. More...

Long due but this is such an amazing restaurant - almost dramatic like Bollywood - that I had to share my experience! I love going to high-end restaurants and this is one of the few upscale Indian restaurants that make it to my favorites. First off, the service here is impeccable. They make you feel so special right from serving drinks to dinner and through dessert. We especially got really really good service, the manager kept checking in on us and were seated at probably the best table in the restaurant. It was at the back of the restaurant and really private so we had a fantastic time. The kind of creativity they put in presentation is definitely one of the best, pictures don't do justice to how beautiful the drinks and food look here. We had a few cocktails but my favorite was Shadowplay - it comes in a ceramic pot with the drink itself in the top half and dry ice in the bottom half. The bottom half also has perforations and you can see the vapor coming out of them - looks incredible! Food here is not only presented beautifully, but it also tastes delicious. We had the Bhatti Murgh Ki Champ, Kasundi Prawns and Kurkuri Bhel for appetizers. Bhatti Murgh comes on a small cart and is smoked with fire in front of you - definitely try it. We also thoroughly enjoyed our main course - Butter chicken and Dum ki Nalli - would highly recommend the lamb. What I loved most is that the portion sizes are perfect here. Even after 2 drinks, 3 appetizers and 2 main course, I had room for dessert. Or maybe I just eat too much. In any case, the desserts are not to be missed. Definitely get the Coconut Kheer and Daulat ki Chaat (saffron based whipped cream!) More...

Went here for dinner on Friday and had made reservations for a table for 6 for 7 pm. The place was relatively quiet at 7 and we were seated on our table. The seating itself was a bit tight, but we managed to seat somehow! The hostess was friendly and welcoming. For drinks, I ordered the Right Bank ($16) which wasn't that great and lacked that punch in the drink that I was looking for. Presentation was pretty good though.I did all the ordering for our table and we got a few amazing appetizers which included Lasuni Gobi ($12), Habanero Tikka ($13), Kasundi Prawns ($16), Bhatti Murgh Ki Champ ($16), and Paratwala Paneer ($12). All appetizers were absolutely delicious and the Bhatti Murgh was a clear winner. The way they serve it and the flavors of this dish were absolutely mind blowing. It wasn't that spicy at all either, so spice level was manageable on this dish. Lasuni Gobi and Kasundi Prawns were our 2nd favorites. For mains we ordered 4 entrees between the 6 of us, which was sufficient food and included Dal Makhani ($18), Butternut Squash ke Kofte ($20), Fenugreek Murgh ($21), and Chicken Tikka Masala ($22). We also ordered Garlic Naan and Butter Naan ($4 each) and a Paneer aur Hari Mirchi Kulcha ($7). Fenugreek was my personal favorite with a nice spice kick to the dish but Chicken Tikke Masala with heavy cream on the side was a table favorite and disappeared within a few seconds after hitting our table! We finished off with 2 desserts, aRoqa Daulat Ki Chaat ($10) and Coconut Kheer ($10). The Kheer was a little too sweet to our liking, but the Daulat ki Chaat was absolutely delicious.
