Yum! I *heart* Arepa Culture NC. I think my family has tried every arepa on the menu now and our top 3 favorites are the La Tica (pulled chicken that is SO tender and flavorful)... I am personal fan of the salmon arepa. The fish is cooked to perfection and the lemon caper sauce, well, the sauce is AMAZING. And the La Caprese is a delish and filling. The green sauce that comes in the side with each arepa is so good, we hoard it to use on food we cook at home.Run. Don't walk! Find them. They are worth it! More...
Best arepas and best staff. This is definitely my go to Arepa place! Great work!
Delicious and fresh gluten-free arepas! I've ordered their pork, chicken, beef, and salmon arepas. All are very, very tasty, and the sauces were flavorful and not overly salty. I hope Arepa Culture plans to open a brick and mortar location too! I much prefer their cooking and quality to Guasaca. They might be more expensive but the quality difference is tremendous. I find one arepa is sufficient for a meal (the corn arepa is very filling), but they are so delicious I can easily wolf down two in a sitting. More...
Absolutely delicious!!! If they are close by I try to go for lunch. Wish they had a permanent spot I could hang out at.
meat lovers is pretty good, would definitely recommend!
The best food truck in Raleigh! La Tica is my favorite thing on the menu. So delicious!
Great food with flavor and great staff
OMG, soooo good! We had the chicken, pork, and beef ones, and they were all quite delish! I am going to try the three meats on one arepa next time, so that I can enjoy all three, because I couldn't finish two of them, because of the generous portion of meat in them! So fresh, so flavorful, and so darn good! We will continue to stalk their whereabouts and eat there again soon!!! More...
Delicious food & gluten free! Our first time trying Arepas, but definitely will look for you again. Loved the BBQ, my son is a picky eater but was asking for seconds. Service was friendly and food was SO good! More...
I loved the Arepas!!! great flavor!!! i want more
I love their arepas! I had the opportunity to try them first the the NC State fair and became obsessed ever since! I love the chicken (la tica) and the bbq (la sureña) ones.. they are so flavorful, full of meat and super cheesy at the end! Every bite is rich and full of flavor. Also their sauces are delicious, especially the orange sauce. It is spicy. Definitely recommend them! More...
The food cannot be beat!! Exceptional quality and great service. LOVE Arepa Culture!
This is my ONE THOUSANDTH REVIEW, people. I've been doing this gig for so long that my friends have gotten pregnant, had kids, and the kids are now in school, and here I am still Yelping away blissfully."Blissful" describes these arepas. I quickly jotted down "wow this is amazing" as I was eating. I only even went outside after seeing other people have arepas on their tables, and then my friend got some for himself. He got the multi-meat version, but I wanted some of the traditional flavor so I got the pork and brisket ones.First, the arepa itself, that corn shell that makes or breaks this dish - perfect. The right thickness, done crispy outside but still soft inside, folds up nicely around the ingredients. Now, the meats and other fillings. Generous. Two arepas for $11 or so makes a solid lunch. The flavor is exquisite and bursts forth with every bite. You can fill your mouth with arepa several times each. Finally, the service - this truck hands out beepers! Haven't seen that system used on the truck level before, but since I was at a brewery when they were outside, this was perfect to go back in and have a few sips before the buzz. I wasn't waiting long, either. This truck knows how to make and serve arepas. I would recommend them ONE THOUSAND percent. See what I did there? Bad math. Bad math is what I did there. More...
I appreciate they have three vegetarian options! I love every single one of them. Great place for arepas!

OH MY WORD THIS FOOD IS INCREDIBLE!!! Let me be clear..... (1) I love all food but I rarely write a review unless it’s THAT delicious (and trust me.... these arepas are just that... DELICIOUS). (2) I told my husband that the next time he makes me mad, he better not show up with an apology or flowers... he better show up with these arepas and all is forgiven.#arepasforever More...

Amazing food! Great customer service! Celiac friendly! We will definitely be back!!

This is absolutely wonderful food! Always fresh and healthy - especially for us vegetarians! My husband loves the meat-filled arepas as well!
I'm so impressed with Arepa Culture food truck. Just for the record, I'm a salmon snob and try to stay away from farmed-raised or Fukushima fish, but when I found out that their fish arepa was made with grilled Norwegian salmon, I was hooked! Who says that you can't get fresh quality food and friendly service from a food truck. More...

We tried Arepa last night in Wake Forest and loved it!! I have several food allergies including gluten and it was great to be able to be able to find not only something I could eat but that was so good!! The young lady that took our order was so helpful, sweet and patient!! We'll be on the lookout for Arepa again!! ❤ More...
One of those destination food trucks fresh delicious pork & beef arepas authentic

First time trying the the Arepa Culture NC food truck ad I'm glad I did. I really enjoy arepas and these do not disappoint. Their pork arepas is by far the best with the beef my next favorite. The chicken was good but I don't think the Italians flavors don't really work with the corn meal arepa. It would be nice to get more authentic South American flavors, something more exotic and adventurous for the American pallet. But of course the guasaca cilantro sauce if off the chain! More...
Freakin' ahhhmazing is all I can say!!! I've had many of food trucks but I must say this one is one of a kind. I can't get enough of it!
Hands down my favorite food truck! A+ service and consistently delicious!

The food is so good. Meatlovers and the chicken salad are wonderful!

These were so friggin' delicious (especially since they're GLUTEN FREE) that I'm sitting here trying to track down the food truck because I'm craving them so hard. Only downside is that they aren't a brick & mortar that I can reliably go to whenever these cravings take over! More...
I had the privilege of ordering last night at the House of Hops. It was delicious. I definitely recommend trying all their offerings
Great food! Must try food truck! Meat lovers is the best! Chicken salad is awesome too!
This truck knows how to bring fresh food, heart, amazing flavors and passionate service....every single time!!!!
Had the pleasure of eating from this truck today. Had the pork and the beef. Both were amazing. Great family run business, very generous and gracious. Highly recommend to everyone!!!

I just had my first arepa from this food truck and it was fantastic so much so that I called my wife to come have one with me
The Best food truck I've had! I got the chicken arepa...it was outstanding. Not huge size but the quality. I also had a meat n cheese special on cornbread pancake....wow! I stalk their schedule.
Sooo good!! I was able to try them at wakemed north and it was delicious! Everything was so fresh ! I got the la tica and the veggie lovers and both were amazing, and the homemade sauces that come with it, I would buy them by the bottle !

I have been gluten free for 3 years now--not by choice!! So finding great tasting food that I can be assured has not be cross contaminated with wheat, rye or barley is always tough. I finally found a food that fits the bill!! If anyone is celiac or just wants some really great food, go check out Arepa Culture!! You will not be disappointed!!! More...
the food was very good today was the first time I had ever had it . wonderful job and the people were really nice
I don't go to food trucks often, but when I do, I always chose Arepa Culture NC. There are several reasons I personally fell in love with this company. Firstly, the message of healthy eating they convey is something I don't think is as common as it should be in this country. Their food selection screams healthy, with reasonable portion sizes. On top of this, the service they provide is absolutely outstanding. The workers of the truck are some of the nicest people you'll come across, all smiles, jokes, and genuinely positive energy. Lastly, of course, the food itself is nothing short of exceptional. This will be my food selection of choice by far for anyone looking for great food, great service, and an overall positive vibe! Real authentic Venezuelan!! I love the Arepa con carne mechada!! Must go to spot!! Staff is also very friendly and family oriented.
During my lunch break I was finally able to try this gem !! I got the "veggie lovers" and the "la tica" arepas and they were both sooo good ! Everything was super fresh and filled to the brim , no skimping here!! If you ever see this truck out and about it is a must try ! I will definitely be going back to try the other variations. More...
Tried out this food truck at the Durham Food Truck Rodeo. Absolutely delicious!!! We got the meat lover's arepa and it was so flavorful and juicy. The cilantro sauce was also yummy (didn't taste much like cilantro to me, a cilantro hater, more garlicky). Highly recommend! More...
Great food and great family business. I had the pork and the beef. Both were excellent. The family that run the truck are very generous and gracious. Highly recommend to anyone. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu in the future. More...
Oh my stars! This place is delicious! Amazing food, service with a smile, and decent prices. My only regret is that I can't catch up with them more often.
Their arepas are so good! I had a plain cheese arepa, but the sauce that came with it was very good and the staff was really friendly!
This food truck is phenomenal! They are friendly, fast and the food is delicious. I loved how they call your number and say your name as well. It makes the experience more personal, even with a big crowd. I ordered "La Tica" and topped it with cilantro sauce. It was amazing! I honestly wanted to see if I could buy the container of cilantro sauce. I's slightly obsessed with it. I docked one star because the prices were just a tad higher than other arepa places I have tried.Noteworthy: - 100% Gluten Free- You pour your own sauce - 1 arepa fills you up More...
First time trying this tonight, and VERY happy with the experience! The La Capresa and the La Sureña were both DELICIOUS and I would seek this truck out again in the future. The biggest problem I have with most food trucks is that I pay a lot and don't get much in return, but I was completely satisfied with my two arepas. More...
My entire family loves Arepa Culture so much that we've gone pretty far out of our way to track the truck down and get arepas. Our favorites are the meat lovers, the shredded pork and the chicken arepas. Even though they appear pretty small, 2 of them is plenty filling. My only complaint is that they're a bit expensive, especially when you're feeding a family of 6, otherwise we'd get them far more often. More...
This food truck is a real gem. Out of all the floods I tried at the Food Truck Festival downtown, this was by far the most Flavorful! They really take the extra effort to make this food both authentic and delicious. For those who have never had an arepa it's like a taco with a softer type of shell filled with tasty meats or other ingredients. Check it out! More...

Arepas are more filling than I thought. They were good but I didn't love it. The place was clean and the service was good. The line is Chipotle-style so you get your food fairly quick. More...
Best arepa's I've ever had, unlike others they actually taste like corn! Great fillings and affordable prices. These guys are definitely one of the best food trucks in the Triangle.
We hired Arepa Culture for an event at our church and everyone LOVED it! Great food and friendly service
This food truck is fantastic! The staff are so friendly and helpful. It's nice to have a gluten free option that is so delicious! I made sure to follow them on Twitter so I don't miss an opportunity to eat there when they are in my area. Try them. You won't be disappointed. More...
Food Truck Time: Arepa Culture NC @ the Railhawks gameArepa Culture is a family-owned and operated food truck serving up fantastic arepas around the area. I was warmly greeted at the truck and decided to order the La Tica which is their best seller. The price for 1 arepa is a bit steep at $6 but you can order 2 for $10. Wait time was not very long before I got my food. It looked delicious and tasted even better, the meat was so juicy and I liked the provolone cheese. I do recommend this food truck. More...
This was my first time with Venezuelan cuisine and I loved trying Arepa. Arepa is a gluten-free corn-based flat bread formed into a patty that is grilled split open and stuff with a variety of ingredients. I am a vegetarian and was offered a couple of options. I tried --La Quesua (Three Cheese melted blend) -- GOOD , RECOMMENDEDVeggie Lovers (Sautéed Greens topped with Mozzarella) -- HEALTHY OPTION , RECOMMENDEDIf you are too hungry then one might not be enough so you can try 2 different ones. Tried this at the August 2016 downtown Raleigh food truck rodeo. And since I'm a big fan of avocados, I ordered a Reina Pepiada (chicken salad and avocado). It looked tiny and I thought it would be great for snacking, but i was wrong! Who knows this little arepa could be this filling?! I enjoyed every bite and I like their chicken salad as well - not overdone with mayos, lighter version of chicken salad. :) More...
Finally got to try this place at the August 2016 Raleigh downtown food truck rodeo and they are everything that people were telling me it was. First for those folks that have to be Gluten free this truck is completely GF. I make my own arepas at home and these are better. The size of each arepa is awesome for a quick bite at a food truck rodeo where you want to try as many different trucks as possible and try as many flavors as you can. I tried their beef and pork arepa. Excellent flavors and the arepa was perfectly cooked. This is a definite stop for anyone who has to be gluten free. More...
Unique food, that's so tasty! I loved the La Tica. I can't wait to come back and try some others. I love that they use local and organic food. This is a definite must try!!
This is one of the best food trucks in town. If you ever happen to catch it try the "La Capressa" and "La Tica". Simple and tasty food.
Checked out this food truck during the Food Truck Rodeo in Durham last weekend! There was quite a wait, as there was for everything, but it was definitely worth it! I got both chicken options and preferred the La Tica by far. More...
What an awesome food truck! Arepa Culture was stationed outside Big Boss last night. I have had arepas once before, at a local spot, and I kind of liked these better. The contents of the arepas from Arepa Culture are stuffed into this biscuit tortilla pita thing. I grabbed the La Tica, which is made of chicken and mixed cheeses. I added this red sauce to it and it was delicious! Quite a bit of spice on the areas I drizzled it, but nice extra flavor. My friend got two and it was too much, but my one was just right. $6 for one, $10 for two. More...
Arepa does a wonderful job on Instagram alerting their followers where they will be. I can always find them and because of their social media posts, I was able to get arepas at the Wake Forest Food Truck Rodeo and also most recently at the Western Wake Farmers Market. The first thing they asked me was, "have you had arepas here before or is this your first time to our truck?". The owners make an effort in getting to know their clientele and do not rush you. They will also take the time to explain what an arepa is and are proud of this Venezuelan delicacy. The menu items are clearly marked on an erase board and the most popular arepas are highlighted. I have gotten La Tica twice with chicken and it was very fresh and loaded with shredded chicken. The price is 2/$10 and you definitely get lots of meat in the arepa. The arepa patty is made fresh in the truck and are then loaded with bbq, steak or chicken or whatever filling you pick. They accept credit cards and cash and call out your name when your food is ready. Follow them on instagram and chase them down. You will not be disappointed. More...
Who doesn't love a food truck!?Arepa Culture is a great family oriented business! They are always friendly and take pride in what they do and produce. The arepa's are stuffed full of delicious flavor. They are small enough to try several but beware, they will fill you up!Some of my favorites are:"La Sureña" BBQ and Pico De Gallo"La Tica" Chicken on Sautéed Peppers, Onion and Tomatoes with melting Cheese on top."Reina Pepiada" Chicken Salad and AvocadoMeat Lovers (Angus Shredded Beef , BBQ Tenderloin Pulled Pork, Chicken Sautéed)The price is on the steep side, but with it being a food truck it's okay for me because its a special occasion kind of meal. I follow them on social media and find myself and coworkers heading to brier creek to find the arepa truck on our lunch breaks! More...
Good food, a little pricey.Had the vegetarian and the taste was very good, but $12 for 2 was high for the amount of food we got. It was my first time eating them so I don't have much to compare to, but I definitely like them and would look for them again. I'll have to try Guasaca to see how they are. One guy I was with had a cachapa and said he liked it even more. The owners were very nice and friendly. More...
Arepa Culture is so good that once you have it the first time, you'll consistently ditch your original dinner plans when you see these guys nearby. The "la pelua" is shredded angus beef and cheddar cheese and one of my favorites from their signature menu. But make sure to check out their specialty ones that change out often. We had a smoked salmon arepa with mozzarella and tomato that was to die for. Don't forget the awesome cilantro sauce! More...
Consensus: delicious arepa's but slightly overpriced. But that's the food truck culture mentality right? You're going to get a tasty bit of something for much more then you'd pay at a restaurant. This is why I personally don't love food trucks in general and am not going to go out of my way to hunt them down. However, that saying, Arepa Culture NC has got one hell of an arepa. At $6 for one that's about the size of a small female hand (not my massive man hands!), you're going to need to order at least two to make a meal out of it. However, they give you a discount on two at $10 (signature arepa's are more, see my tip). This is definitely on the higher side compared to Guasaca where you can get one arepa for as low as $3.90-$4.45.I do love the thicker shell of Arepa Culture's arepa, much thicker than Guasaca but filled with the same incredible flavor. Even though their chicken sauté is labled as their best seller. I thought the beef and cheddar was the winner, they're definitely using a high grade cheddar that compliments the beef perfectly. And while I'm usually a fan of the hot sauces, I thought their cilantro sauce was the perfect compliment. Truly a delicious meal and worth the visit if you're okay spending a couple extra bucks. I love that they're making one thing and making it right. They didn't have any "extras" on our visit, just arepas, but they were truly delicious. More...
Yay!! Another Arepa Option! I love the arepa here a bit more than at Guasaca, it feels more authentic (must be the BUTTER) lol! I had the Cachapa and the "Pelua Arepa" that had shredded angus beef and cheddar cheese! Delicious! I can not wait to go back and try the rest! More...
