I have used Apter Remodeling now on three different projects. Andy and his team are very easy to work with, and (most importantly to us) the quality of the workmanship is excellent. I found them to be very flexible with making changes during a project, and they offer a lot of good suggestions to make the results even better! They keep the jobsite pristine during construction, and always go the extra mile to make everything work out despite the inevitable weather and other problems beyond their control. We found Apter Remodeling after being stood up by a number of other contractors. The first thing I will say I that communication with this company is excellent and that will continue from start to finish with whatever project you have. Andy and Kevin were both extremely professional and worked in a timely manner to remodel our entire first floor and kitchen. Apter had come highly recommended to me from friends when I needed my deck resurfaced and the sunporch rebuilt. It turned out to be a long and complicated job as more and more unexpected problems were revealed due to the rot discovered and the poor previous construction on the sunporch and came to require lots of job revisions. These problems could not be revealed until he got into the demolition which Andy warned in advance might be the case, sadly he was right. As it was a job that changed and grew more complex and costly, it tested Andy's skills at designing new solutions and he suggested excellent approaches, and also negotiating with a picky and upset homeowner like me. It all took longer than I wished but given the unexpected surprises as the problems were uncovered, that was understandable. Apter did a beautiful job, every detail is perfect. Andy has been responsive after the work was completed in responding to some small follow up items. I think I have the best looking deck and sunporch in Annapolis , and I enjoy it every day. I was introduced to Apter Remodeling in 2016 when my basement flooded. Apter had worked for my son and daughter in law several times on many projects over a period of 10 years. Upon meeting him, he was very professional and assured me he could return my home back to where it was before the disaster. Not only did he return my home back to where it was before this mishap, he improved the basement and updated it for me.Recently, when I needed additional remodeling on my home, the choice was clear to consult with Apter. In May 2019, I had two full baths remodeled from studs, and a half bath redesigned and finished. Planning stage went very smooth with creative ideas and solutions that incorporated my vision for the bathrooms.I felt very comfortable in hiring Apter Remodeling/Craftman, from the first day to final walk-thru stages, Apter was there to answer questions and explain what was going up next.Project started and continued at a fast pace, appliances were ordered and work scheduled and finished on time. When I moved into my current home, it needed some major curb appeal. This was accomplished through adding a deck and pergola with columns. I had Apter remove a bathtub and install a walk-in shower in same place. Apter was very neat while working and totally on schedule that they had given me. I am so pleased with the result.
