I researched wedding photographers on the East Coast. Wendy came up as absolutely the best--so we actually flew in from Washington, D. C. --to have her shoot our wedding photos. We came down six weeks ahead of our wedding day and dressed exactly like when we got married. Ohmygosh, I am so glad we did. The wedding photos are exquisite--the best I have ever looked. It was perfect doing our wedding shoot ahead of time: my wedding day--six weeks later at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.- -was a blur. I was very nervous. So shooting the photos ahead of time was tremendous. We didn't do any "mock" wedding photos--like act like we were actually in the process of getting married. We just danced and laughed and kissed and walked along the beautiful scenery. I was frightened at the shoot alsoLOL. But Wendy put us at ease and knew what to do to get the best shots. Wendy is such a warm and caring person. It was wonderful to work with her. We made a list of photos that we wanted ahead of time and she helped set the timeline of events/photos for that day. Everything ran on time which was a huge stress relief for me! First off let me say that Wendy is amazing. I was hesitant about booking a professional photographer for our engagement photos, but so glad I came across Apt. B Photography! She was so quick to respond and was able to work around our schedule since we were coming from out of town. Plus her packages were reasonably priced compared to other photographers I looked into. During the shoot she made sure she gave us direction on how and where to stand while still getting to know us as a couple. She made us feel comfortable and really captured our personalities! Words cannot begin to describe how blessed I feel to have Wendy as our wedding photographer. Wendy went above and beyond for my fiancé and I in so many ways- starting with our engagement session. Long story short, our evening flight from Los Angeles was delayed by almost 12+ hours and we had scheduled our session for the following morning. Needless to say, we were running extremely behind but Wendy was so flexible and understanding and turned what could have been a very stressful situation into an easy one! We had our shoot and even though we were awake for 24 hours beforehand, Wendy worked her magic and made us look AMAZING! Truly amazing.

Leading up to the wedding, Wendy would check in with us- spoiling us with cards and little gifts and reminded us to enjoy the wedding planning process instead of getting caught up in the stress! I was taken aback by how thoughtful these gifts were, and I think this level of care separates her from other wedding photographers.

For our wedding, Wendy led the day-setting up beautiful shots and not missing a moment. There were several moments throughout the day where Wendy calmed me down and made me stay present and enjoy the moment. She even helped when one of my straps broke on my dress! It should be noted too, for those camera-shy folks, she gives amazing direction and will literally make anyone look natural behind her camera. Both the wedding and engagement shoots felt like we were hanging out with a friend rather than a stiff photoshoot where you're not sure what to do.

Wendy is extremely talented and captures the beauty of Savannah and Georgia in a way I've never seen. She is kind, creative, patient, funny and an all-around pleasure to be around. I am so grateful we were able to share this experience together and even more happy to call her a friend!! More...

I found Wendy through Instagram and could immediately tell that her work was exactly I was looking for in my portraits. Her eye for detail and awesome personality was the perfect match for me. I am a photographer too and I always feel much better behind the camera than in front of it...in fact, I'm just plain awkward in front of the lens. My husband and I fell in love with Wendy the moment we met her. She has such a warm and down to earth vibe that we instantly knew we'd work well together. This was such a relief as my husband and I are not the cuddly type and over the years have taken hundreds of awkward photos together and only a few really good ones!

We live in another state so her responsiveness and flexibility went a long way in helping us manage logistics. During our engagement shoot she really listened to us, but also pushed us to do things we didn't think would turn out well on film, but of course, did. By the time our wedding day rolled around, she knew our boundaries and what we'd be willing to do.

Wendy is such an amazing wedding photographer. My husband actually asked me after our wedding day, "Do you think she makes all her couples feel like supermodels or just us? " because that's how special she made us feel. All of our photos came out so beautiful and natural and effortless. I especially love the photos she took of our ceremony and of all the little ones in our bridal party; she had a real affinity for capturing their adorableness. And there were shots in there that I wasn't even aware she was getting that were so fun and so creative. She's so sweet and so personable and you really get the sense that she cares about doing a great job capturing your wedding day and to boot her photos are gorgeous. I highly recommend Wendy. I could not have been any happier with our choice of Wendy from Apt. B Photography as our photographer for our wedding day! I budgeted for the wedding photographer to be my biggest expense because I wanted awesome photos, they are what lasts a lifetime after all. Wendy delivered exactly what she promised and so much more! Wendy is so skilled at making the whole photo process feel extremely natural and the photos reflect that. She had my husband and I laughing the entire time. We received a large mix of natural looking poses and candid shots. Wendy and her assistant Esther were very laid back and so personable. Do not hesitate to book Wendy! I am absolutely in love with our wedding photos. Wendy captured all the details and moments that I couldn't have absorbed on such a whirlwind of a day, and now we have beautiful memories of everything. Not only are Wendy's photos beautiful, from the portraits to the candids to the detail shots, but she and her assistant were on top of everything, capturing all the special moments with artistry.

In addition to taking beautiful photos and delivering everything on time as promised, Wendy was such a warm and calm presence. WOW! I LOVE MY WEDDING PICTURES!! I recently got married out on Tybee Island at sunset, and working with Wendy was a dream. She was very professional and extremely quick to get back to me on emails and the various changes we had to make before the wedding day. We actually had quite a few changes, and Wendy made sure it was not a problem! We had never met before the day of, but during our wedding shoot I felt completely at ease and even had a blast taking the pictures. I know Wendy was the only right choice for our wedding pictures and I am absolutely in love with all of them; the day I got them back I went and printed them all and I adore looking through my photo album! The photos all tell an amazing story! I want to mention that I am always extremely nervous in front of the camera and I usually HATE taking pictures. Choose Wendy. It's that simple.

I found Wendy through Instagram and immediately fell in love with the pictures on her website. From the first e-mail we shared, I felt like I was talking to a friend, not someone I had never met. She worked with our schedule and was willing to make accommodations at any time to fit the needs of our family and friends. On our wedding day, Wendy and her second shooter felt like part of our inner circle. We laughed together, she was part of the moments we cried happy tears, and she made us laugh and giggle the entire time.

Most of our guests had flown in or travelled across several states to be present. Wendy never said "no" when we quickly requested a photo-op or made a spontaneous decision to grab a group photo. She captured the love and joy not just between us but between our family and our friends. I cannot imagine our wedding day without her, nor can I imagine not having the photos she caught with what seems to be magic.

In fifty years, I will still adore the photos she took when we thought no one was looking. From my best friend and I high-fiving to my husband fixing the flower girl's flower crown, they make my heart leap in my chest. Wendy has been taking my pictures since she started her passion for photography a few years ago. When the time came to find a photographer for my wedding I didn't even think about it twice, Wendy had to be there! My wedding was in FL and Wendy is in Savannah but she was very accommodating to travelling. She took the time to study my wedding location so she could take the best pictures. She also had the patience and professionalism to wake up at 6 in the morning to do trash the dress pictures. I am a little upset that WeddingWire does not have an option to give rating of more than 5 stars for exceptional service, because "exceptional" would be the word to describe Wendy. I had an "unplugged" ceremony, meaning no guest cell phones and cameras allowed, so it was extremely important that my photographer was able to capture those moments perfectly.

I had a destination wedding in Savannah so when it came to finding vendors, I had no clue. Wendy was one of the photographers recommended by my wedding coordinator. After looking at several websites, I decided that I really liked Wendy's photography style. I met up with Wendy one weekend when we drove to Savannah to scout wedding venues. After a quick chat, I knew I HAD to have her as my wedding photographer. She is so sweet and bubbly, and knows how to work with people who are naturally awkward in front of the camera (me & my husband), haha. My husband HATES taking pictures, but somehow Wendy managed to take some great shots. I have to say that I love every single photo she took that day.

I also need to mention that on my wedding day, Wendy was more than just my photographer. Wendy and her second shooter were fluffing my dress and fixing my hair all day to make sure I looked great in every picture. They were so sweet. WENDY IS THE BEST!!

We hired Wendy based on a recommendation from our day of coordinator. At the time Wendy had just quit her full-time corporate job to be a wedding photographer full-time. The first moment I looked at her website I thought her pictures were some of the best I had seen and knew we needed to jump on hiring her. I'm SO happy we did.

We started by doing engagement photos with her. These have been described by friends and family as some of the best, most genuine engagement pictures they have ever seen. Now I'm not saying that was my husband and I, that was all because of Wendy. She has a way of making you feel so comfortable that all you can do is be yourself and really showcase your relationship - which is so special because we know have photographs that capture that. She also has a real talent for photography. Her sense of spacing, lightening, and editing make for gorgeous photos.

On the day of our wedding I was so excited to be able to spend the day with someone so genuine and lovely, after all you end up spending a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day! She didn't disappoint and by the end of the night I felt like she was part of our "tribe" of people celebrating the most important day of our lives.

All of this being said, she has continued to surprise us. She posted sneak peek shots of our day on social media, took fun Polaroid shots during the day that we were able to receive on the wedding night, AND provided us with a "highlights" folder of already edited photographs only a couple days after our wedding.

My husband and I knew that finding the perfect photographer was one of the most important wedding tasks on our destination wedding to-do list. When we saw Apt. B’s profile on Wedding Wire and her blog that read “whimsical + romantic wedding photographer” we immediately reached out to her. After facetiming with her (& Leo!)-we knew, without hesitation, that we wanted her as our photographer to capture our special day! Throughout the planning process, I went to Wendy with questions, for recommendations, and so much more! She was a huge help!
Working with Wendy was like working with a friend that I have known for years. She was so positive, delightful, easy to talk to, and made prancing around a square in the rain feel so natural!! Wendy was the best decision I ever made with this wedding. Do yourself a favor and hire her! She was patient with me, always offered advice when I couldn't decide on something, and she captured every important moment of our wedding day. Because of the rain in Savannah, you never know what you are going to get when it's time for photos. Wendy always had a back up plan ready to go, and she's super flexible. She made things smooth and fun for me, and was always there when I needed a recommendation for another vendor. Not only is she an AMAZING photographer, but she has a great personality also. Photos can be awkward ... you're like what do I do with my hands? Do I look okay? Oh gosh, my eyes were closed I think... wait can we get a do-over? Photography was hands down THE most important thing to myself and my husband when we began planning our wedding. We chose to do a destination wedding so finding vendors proved to be somewhat difficult at times. .. this being said, as soon as I came across Wendy’s site, I knew she was “the one.” From the first time we met on skype to our wedding day, I felt so comfortable around Wendy and felt like I’d known her forever. She made both of us feel so relaxed and at ease while she was working her magic, and her pictures came out better than I could have asked for. I always envisioned myself going to my wedding photographer with tons of printouts from pinterest of “must do” shots, but we had so much trust in Wendy’s skill we let her take the reins completely and our photos are absolutely beautiful.
