Erika was recommended to my husband and I through a mutual friend. As soon as we looked at her Instagram page we had a good feeling and set up an appointment to meet her; she was very responsive and we arranged a meeting quickly. After our first meeting with Erika we knew we wanted her to photograph our engagement session and our wedding. She was extremely friendly, professional, clearly talented, and reasonably priced. The engagement photos looked like they could be on a magazine cover. She was such a trooper during the process; going to spots we were excited to use as backdrops for our photos, in the freezing-cold January weather. She was very supportive throughout the months leading up to the wedding; checking in, asking about our vision, making sure she knew exactly what we wanted for our big day. We could not be happier with our photos! I still cry when I look at them and can’t wipe the smile off my face. They’re just gorgeous. She caught so many moments that are so meaningful to us. Her work is stunning and truly captures the little moments that you can look back on with a smile. In my first phone call with Erika, she made us feel at ease about getting pictures taken, even though my husband and I are not fans of a camera in our face . We did a practice shoot and it turned out amazing. Erika caught some great shots and taught us how to act infront of a camera. At the wedding we got all the shots that we wished for. Erika really captured the atomsphere and all the people there. Watching the photos is almost like watching a video of the whole day and evening. She also stayed an hour longer than we had agreed on to capture pictures of all the dancing. We are so grateful for that. The photos turned out amazing! We highly recommend Erika! I can't check the "Maryland Wedding Consignment" FB group enough because it brought me to Erika, of Apke Photography. If only I had known about her for my wedding! We decided on a one-year anniversary wedding-themed photoshoot, and she did a seriously excellent job. The photos are romantic, dreamy and gorgeous. Bright vivid colors while still remaining soft and sweet looking. She is also extremely nice and made us feel comfortable during the shoot. Erika is the one to hire if you want a photo session with personality and something a little different. Unfortunately our wedding plans changed from an outdoor to indoor ceremony due to the weather, and most of the outside was SO muddy that we didn't have much to work with.
